Kick the generators

I find that they should change the regression rate of the generators when the killer kicks it. And that the speed of the kick should increase. What do you think?

why?

Well, given how many killer mains don't kick a generator unless they have Pop because it's a waste of time, yeah it should have a higher impact. It's a bit silly right now survivors can tap a gen mid-chase and be completely fine.

If I recall correctly, a kicked generator regresses by about 1/4th the speed that a Survivor repairs it solo with no buffs. I feel that there is room to up the regression rate a bit without breaking things.

A perk existing doesn't really fix the lazily designed mechanic, though.
I'm sure Overcharge was supposed to make kicking a generator worth it yet here we are.

That right there is one reason they dont. There's no reason to waste time kicking a gen if you think someone is gonna tap it 5 seconds after you leave. Pop makes it so kicking the gen has an ACTUAL impact. I've also had some luck using Surge too since you start regressing gens without wasting time kicking em.

From a survivor perspective Surge has been a bit of a joke to me. Normally when it procs I'm still on the gen and see that the regression did barely anything.

I agree regression is a joke and it would be a nice qol change to help slow down the gens just a bit without adding to completion time

sorry my translator had mistranslated.

I wonder if one of the dev will read this post and will consider this change.

Maybe if it was timed and on a percentage of the gen done for an example.
Under 25% normal
25-50% 35% speed
50-75% 50% speed
75-99% 75% speed
What you don't want to do it make the 3 gen strat overly strong as then some killers may look for those close together and just wait the game out.

I mean, you can kick the gen and it will passively decrease at 0.25 speed single survivor can fix it.
It's ridiculously slow.
Maybe make it a bit faster and add like a 3% decrease by kick itself.

Its true that the immediate regression doesnt do much. Its the equivalent of 6.5 seconds of normal speed repair time. The fact that it popped at all however can be enough to get the killers attention that the gen has been worked on. With that info, the killer could then check the area and either see a sparking gen or if they see a non-sparking gen...know your in the area. This perk is abit of a hybrid perk in that its both a slowdown perk as well as a tracking perk.

So wait, Surge regresses the gen by 8% not 18%? So many people keep telling me it's 18% and yet in-game it never felt that way.
Asking because I've thought about testing out Surge on some killers, but I'm not confident about the regression numbers.

From my understand, its 8%. If it was 18%, I wouldnt really have anytimes when a survivor managed to finish a gen anyways while Im hooking my downed survivor. Typically this is the reason why I'll check the area and maybe start a new chase before hooking.
