Big maps are poor game design

Each time I get these big maps, I have the same thought. Big maps aren't fun. They do not increase the intensity of the games. The only thing they do is make it harder to pressure gens for killer. I think this even when I play survivor. If survivors spread out, it is so easy to get gens, and as long as players have learned to avoid three gen big maps = easy survivor games.

Sure, there are a few fast moving killers (Nurse, Spirit, Freddy), and not how they are all top tier.

Big maps aren't good, and corrupt intervention isn't enough to fix it.

I also wouldn't like Doctor to have 80% coverage of the map.

Only a few Maps are way too big, Yamaoka is pretty big. Rotten Fields is far too big and simply horrible, early Gamedesign. It is not enjoyable for Survivors either.

Also the Red Forest Maps are too big, which is quite ironic, because one is tied to the Killer with the worst Map Presence.

sometimes i think the weaker killers arent always “weak” because of their kits, but more because of map size sometimes. map size takes a toll on both sides of the game quite often

This is why Coldwind is terrible. This is why Mother's Dwelling is terrible. This is why Yamaoka Estate is terrible, among other reasons. If you aren't Nurse, Spirit, Billy, Freddy, maybe even Demogorgon, unless the survivors are bad, you won't do to well.

They really are. Map size plays a huge role in the outcomes of a lot of matches.

There are definitely several maps that need the Black Swamp treatment. Take the features, condense them down to a smaller size, cut off the MASSIVE areas of bland wasted space.

They wonder why there's such a disconnect between mobile killers and M1 killers, and then they continue to make maps that Billy and Spirit can shoot across in a matter of seconds, while M1 killer have to walk for seemingly minutes between gens.

Yea huge maps aren’t fun. Unfortunately, it seems like asymmetrical devs are always trying to make bigger maps (F13 newer maps are huge).

Don't worry about Doctor covering most of the map, he's on the list of killers to be change/reworked to be more "fun" to verses as survivor.

Anything that's annoying about him is guaranteed to be removed once that happens ?

I'm really excited to see what they do with him, I find him so boring to play and just annoying to play against, also Freddy's Dream Pallets are more powerful than Doc's so hopefully the changes will make them work just like Freddy's and force Survivors to use them.
