Premium Rift MAY be worth it, my thoughts so far
So before I get into why i think it's worth the $10, I am still very much against how annoying/specific the last tier looks so far, not difficult mind you I don't mind difficult. Just requiring your teammate and killer to assist you almost to complete it.
Even now I am far enough into the Rift to get back about $5, plus some charms and cosmetics, and I'll easily get far enough to earn another 2-3 dollars before it's over. So if you're willing to pay a few bucks for cosmetics and you play as Wrath, Nurse, Claudette or Meg it may be worth the money.

It should also be noted that the tome 4 challenges you saw are likely to change by the time tome 4 is actually released.

Value wise you can make it pay for sure. I'd be happy to get as far as the wraith head.
But it takes a large investment of time. Precious gaming time that I don't really want to dedicate entirely to Dead by Daylight.
Still many days to go though so don't want to make a final judgement yet.

For me, it's just cosmetics that have no impact of gameplay whatsoever, so i best spend my money on other killers or games

Based on the price of other items in the game, it's doubtlessly worth it in comparison. At best, you essentially get everything for free. And even if you do horribly, unless you barely play, you're still coming out ahead in the end.

Feel like it's a bit too grindy for my liking. Maybe if they made it slightly easier to level up the rift then I would be 100% fine with it but as for someone who works 9AM to 5:30PM five days a week it's just too grindy.
I will say tho that the free tier actually gives out some pretty good rewards unlike other games that have a battle pass so that's a plus :)

I just like the fact that you can wait until the end of the rift to decide. See what your progress gets you and then decide whether or not it is worth $10. I will probably get it if I end up getting $7 or $8 worth of auric cells back (which will most likely go towards the next rift). I don't think $2 or $3 every chapter is too bad.

What do 'they' actually want us to achieve?
If you can recoup 500 auric cells you can buy the minimum top up (500) to buy the next battlepass.
Therefore I think they would like most people to recoup less than 500 and then if you want to buy the next battlepass you are in the realms of having to pay full price (1000) again and being left with an odd amount of auric cells.
This is of course their evil master plan.

Based on what? I've seen no indication from any Dev, etc that they feel like the challenges are too hard.

I'll only buy it if I reach the last level by free. It's the best way to ensure your money is worth wasted or not

I mean there’s nothing wrong with premium rift, but the grind to complete it is insane. I can imagine completing this one, but having to do this every 3 months I don’t know . They should definitely make it easier for people that can’t take play every single day.

That's not to say the actual released challenges won't still be the same or more difficult. They haven't said they'll be addressing the difficulty...

I think it's good to voice concerns o what has actuallybeen seen in the game until we're told what, if anything, is changing. The Tier 4 challenges have made their way into the game, placeholders or not, they're what is currently in place. If we don't voice concerns when they arise how can we expect anything to change?

Im right there with ya, but the key words there are "when they arise". Frankly, im surprised they didnt take it a step further and make the placeholders things like "sacrafice 5 survivors in the basement in a single trial" and such. At least then people would be forced to take it with a grain of salt and maybe chuckle abit.

The fact that you have the potential to earn back all the AC you spent to purchase the pass means they aren't going to make it so non-daily players can complete the entire thing. If they made it that easy they would just be giving out free cosmetics to everyone. If that was their intention, they'd give out free cosmetics and make everyone happy instead of having everyone complain about this rift.
That being said, even if you only partially complete the rift it's still a good value for all of the stuff you get. Just look at the price of cosmetics in the store and it's easy to see this. I can understand this might be annoying if you're a completionist. But I wouldn't hold out hope for them making it easier for more casual players.

I think people would still take "sacrifice 5 survivors in the basement in a single match" quite literally. We are talking about people who call a pass that lets you see how far you progress before deciding to purchase it "predatory."
