The new killer is (probably) The Alchemist and here is why.
Everyone is saying the new killer is Rins Dad, but I dont think that. There is nothing to hint at besides the fact the sword is missing, but there is an even better reason besides her dad took the sword.
The Alchemist goes to different time realms taking things from them. It was clear that he was the one that took the sword instead of Rin's dad.
He also injected himself with the serum that makes people insane and in the files there is normal and crazy mode so wouldn't it make sense that this is the new killer?
It also is weird that they would make lore for a new character we havent seen and not add them into the game?
It's not Rin's father like everyone makes it out to be. If you just looked you could see that everything for the alchemist makes sense this would be the new killer.

I feel as though they will save that for later. Like whenever people fully finish the tomes and unlock his full story, then they would release him. But for now it seems from the sound files it might be a ancient being or a nun. But who knows everything's up for grabs (except rins dad lol)

Actually, there is lore on the Alchemist (AKA Vigo). He's the one who supposedly created the Black Locks (Trapdoors) but the entity stole them. He's also the one who entered the Entity's realm of his own free will in an attempt to research it, but found that he slowly lost his sanity as he realised that he was trapped and no matter what, he would never die. It's possible that he is the next killer. Perhaps he's finally gone insane from being trapped against his will, unlike other survivors who were pulled into the realm. Maybe he struck a deal with the Entity in return for his freedom, or what he thinks is freedom since we all know, the Entity will never realease anyone trapped there

If he is the killer, maybe he wanted to have a chance with the serum again, or when he said that he was in the area where you were neither dead or alive, just there, then maybe the serum he got during there was a gift from the entity. But not without a catch. I could be completely wrong though I might've understood the stories wrongly

It's possible. He escaped from the Entity with the Putrid Serum, but who's to say he really did escape. His lab is hidden somewhere in the Entity realm, but nobody knows where. So it could be that the Entity found the lab, and discovered something that gives Vigo a power the Entity could manipulate for it's own ends to get more power. Maybe the serum could make the Entity itself even worse than before.

Idk this sounds stupid because I know they did this to let the game not be held hostage but maybe giving the entity the endgame collapse powers? Who knows lol
