Help a stubborn Killer change his ONE perk loadout
So I need help. When I play killer, and I play several, I use the exact same perks. The SAME four perks on every killer. I'm really stuck cause I just can't seem to convince myself to change them cause they work for me. The perks are Bitter Murmor, Overcharge, BBQ, and Ruin. The main killers for me are Wraith, Doctor, and Demogoron.
I know there are probably much better or interesting builds to run, I just probably am still not well versed in this game yet. Hope this doesn't make everyone in this community cringe at me in unison. I really appreciate any advice on this.

Depends on rank you are at too or how well versed you are with a killer what killer do you enjoy the most out of the one's you listed

I think you are in low ranks because of using over charge, later in ranks people horn overcharge easily and it's a waste of a perk slot and time, try using pop goes the weasel or blood warden if you see yourself getting into end game scenarios a lot.

Hey its rank reset so go crazy on those builds it's what I do just have fun experiment your gonna be reset anyway so what harm does it do 💖🐷

Doctor main here with some suggestions you can try.
Stealth Doctor (usually done with a green Calm Addin) - Run Monitor and Abuse with a green Calm addin and you'll have a respectibly small 16 meter terror radius when in punishment mode. The idea is to not keep your Treatment mode on all the time. Just approach areas you think the survivors are at and turn it on the moment you realize somebody might be nearby to try and flush them out. You can run pretty much anything you want with this - the idea is just to leverage MnA with Calm stacked on it to surprise survivors.
Rail Gun Doctor - (Meme build for funsies) Run Polished Electrode with Interview Tape. This gives you a massive 35 meter shock. Throw on Monitor And Abuse and your Terror Radius goes down to 28 meters which allows you to shock people from outside your terror radius. I typically run Nurses Calling when I'm derping around with this as Nurse's calling's range is shorter than your shock range. So if you can see them on Nurses, you can goose them with your shock. Use whatever you want for your other perks. The idea is to just goof off with the addins and hit people on gens from extreme range for giggles - this is not a serious build.
Skill Checks Are Dumb - Most newbie docs start off with this. Be warned, you'll get a lot of salt from using this. The build is generally a combination of Distressing and Disturbing Presence. This bloats your terror radius to 40 meters and gives everybody in your terror radius smaller skill checks. When combined with the random skillchecks that show up in madness 1 and 2, this means lots of skill checks will be missed by all but the more skilled players. This generally works as your slowdown. If you are feeling particularly mean, you can stack this with Huntress Lullaby for maximum Salt mining. The one time I managed to get 5 stacks doing this (it was on Lery's), the amount of missed skill checks was truly glorious
For your other two killers (Wraith and Gordan), I would suggest dropping Overcharge for Pop Goes The Weasel. Both killers have the mobility to get back to gens after hooking people and you'll get way more regression from that kick than a missed skillcheck on Overcharge.

Doctor is one of my fave killers to use, and I may just have to try out some of these builds. Usually I just torture them all with Treatment and go for the kill, but these sound more entertaining. Especially the Skill Check build

Wraith chase perks are pretty good ie. Brutal Strength and Save the best for Last. Spirit Fury and Enduring can be fun too.
Pop goes the weasel pairs nicely with BBQ on killers with mobility (Wraith with windstorm is ok and Demi is obviously dependent on your tunnels.).

Try using Unnerving Presence with Overcharge and Distressing to make those skill checks much harder to hit

Sloppy butcher works better than bitter murmur. It makes survivors heal more slowly, and it really adds up. Monitor and abuse is really good for most killers, including demogorgon, but for wraith and doctor they're not too helpful. Whispers is great for tracking, but you have to figure out how far 32 meters is (which really confused me at first).

Thanks for all the advice so far. As of this morning before work I was rank 6, and I've definitely seen the Overcharge become much less effective. Maybe swap that for sloppy butcher and bitter Murmor for something else dependent on the killer. I would love to have Pop but I'm not buying clown just for that. Hopefully in the shrine soon.

Can't speak for Wraith or Doctor as I don't have at lot of time with those, but with Demogorgon you already have half of my current build.
Drop Overcharge and Bitter Murmur then replace them with Save the Best for Last and Surge.
STBFL is THE best perk for Demogorgon due to his Shred being a damaging power that is somewhat easy to use. You can build up STBFL stacks and keep them thanks to if you can Shred your obsession. And any Killer that can keep STBFL stacks WILL do much better in the long run as by mid/late game you can attack almost non stop to reduce chases as much as possilbe while mixing in Shreds for even faster downs. At 8 stacks, you can M1 then near instantly Shred someone while they are still in their damage speed boost.
Surge is there to combo with STBFL and to save time from kicking gens. Down someone with M1 and you build STBFL stacks while regressing nearby gens you would have spent an extra 3-10 or so seconds walking to and kicking. It is also a small information gain as well. If a gen pops someone WAS there, if it isn't regressing when you check on it at a distance (look for sparks or the glow at center mass) someone is STILL there.
BBQ is to combo with your tunnels. Run an add-on that gives longer Undetectable after coming out of a tunnel (at least a green sadly) and you have real odds of starting chases in your favor around gens or sneaking up to someone in general.
Ruin, it's just Ruin. Wish I could replace it with Surveillance to combo further with Surge and tunnels. But without Ruin most skilled Survivors will murder all the gens in no time at all.

Wraith and Distressing are magic. Survivors will freak out because your terror radius is bigger and they think you are closer than what you actually are. It helps with map pressure and since you have no terror radius in cloak it scares the creeps out of people. Doctor I’d say bring unnerving presence and have a bigger radius. It’s annoying and survivors can’t hit skillchecks (+ DS counted 😃) Demogorgon has a really good enduring and spirit fury combo because he can shred pallets and stuff. Bbq is good for him because you can teleport to portals that are close to survivors. I’d say make your choice is good since you could teleport back. You could also swap the one combo for surge and thrilling tremors combo. Works well at least some regression dealt and survivors can’t do anything about it unless they go on the gen

"The main Killers for me are Wraith-"
Welp, that makes it easy for me to contribute.
Try Make Your Choice.
Our opinions may differ on it, but I've grown to love it on him.

I think what you need is to use a perk randomizer, it will give you different viewpoints on how or what to build. I get into this weird argument about "What detection perk should I use?".

Rank reset means it's time for Dark Devotion!!!

Ruin and BBQ are what everyone uses, ruin to slow gens down JUST A LITTLE BIT and bbq not really because of how good it is (even tho it is) but because of the BP.
Bitter mumers and overcharge actually do the same thing as the other 2, map awareness and slow down. I would just start switching those out and experimenting with different perks on different killers

Pop Goes the Weasel is way more consistently effective than Overcharge for slowing down gen progress.
And, as far as finding survivors, I'd take Discordance or Whispers over Bitter Murmur.

Try noed instead of overcharge. It has more synergy with bitter murmur.
If you want to fully revamp your whole build , it will take alot of practice to rework your play style.

Hi Swimming_Bird, you should take a look at this
On the Demogorgon, I would use combination of these perks:
- Ruin / Pop
- BBQ / Tremors
- MyC
- Discordance
- Save Best For Last
- Surveillance
- Territorial Imperative
Tell me if you want Huntress builds ?

PGtW is better than Overcharge once players start to consistently beat the skill check.

Create a new account, family share your game to new account, and play on new account
That way you are forced to use perks that you are not familiar with:)

Distressing is so juicy on him :)

I would love to know good huntress builds since I recently started to main her

You could try swapping overcharge for pop goes the weasel and bitter murmur for either discordance or surveillance. Similar functions (gen regression and information respectively) but slightly different.
And try swapping out one of them for save the best for last on Demogorgon. It's really good on demo as you can pounce attack your obsession and keep your stacks all game. Make Your Choice can be good for both Demo and Wraith as well.

You forgot to add The Game offering to the skillcheck doc build

Overcharge does literally nothing. Change it for PGTW.
I like to use Nurse's Calling, but that's because I main Spirit and GF. You could try STBFL, maybe? Or Discordance.

I wanna know huntress builds

Wraith: My build is Devour Hope, Nurses Calling, Brutal Strength, and BBQ. I find DH more fun than Ruin and a lot more rewarding if they don't find the totem. Once you get 3 tokens people will go mad trying to find it. Nurses is useful because Wraith can move quickly around the map while cloaked, making it easier to find survivors healing. Brutal Strength is useful for the amount of pallets Wraith eats, and the quicker gen kick is an added bonus.
Demogorgon: I use basically the same build, but change out Brutal Strength for Enduring. Demo's Shred lets him break pallets, so BS is basically unneeded, so I run Enduring for challenging pallets as much as possible. Nurses can let you see people while you are travelling the Upside Down, You could arguably run Corrupt Intervention/Ruin instead of Devour Hope to set up portals early game, but I like to just set portals on top of gens, and steamroll with Devour Hope.
Demogorgon: The "I have a mouth and I must scream" build. Save the Best for Last, Mad Grit, only use Shred. Scream as much as possible, and break the survivors eardrums.

Like most people, I like using "Nurse's Calling" and BBQ as Huntress.
You also do need slow-down perk such like Ruin (+++), Corrupt (++) or Pop Weasel (++)
Other good perks with Huntress are Whispers (info), Shadowborn (larger fov), Iron Maiden (fast reloading, combo with bbq), Discordance (info), Bitter Murmur (info)
Typical builds I use are:
Ruin, BBQ, Nurse's Calling, Whispers
Ruin, BBQ, Nurse's Calling, Shadowborn
Ruin, BBQ, Nurse's Calling, Iron Maiden
Ruin, BBQ, Nurse's Calling, Discordance
Ruin, Whispers, Nurse's Calling, Shadowborn
...

You should watch this!

Swap Overcharge with Weasel. More stall potential without the counter.

A couple very good Wraith builds that I use at red ranks:
BBQ, Ruin, Save the Best for Last, Pop
BBQ, Pop, Corrupt, StBfL
Whispers, BBQ, Ruin, Sloppy Butcher
Corrupt, Dying Light, Sloppy, Thanatophobia
And finally the basic build: BBQ, Ruin, Enduring and Spirit Fury.

You really need to at least change Bitter Murmur out for Rancor. Rancor is so much better if you're trying to find survivors and lets you kill one of them during endgame.
I would also change Overcharge for Pop Goes the Weasel as well. If they hit the overcharge skill check that is a totally wasted perk, where Pop is a guaranteed regression as long as you've hooked someone recently.

Try and get Save The Best For Last.

Thanks for all the input everyone. Generally it seems I should drop Overcharge and BM. I managed to drop BM for sloppy butcher for the time being and am happy with how that's going so far. If I had Pop I'd try that too, but I don't think I'll be buying clown just for that. Maybe it'll be in the shrine before I save up enough shards. It looks like alot of these perks that are being suggested otherwise I'll have to prioritize based on what killers I feel like I might enjoy more. I really appreciate everyone's advice on this, I'd definitely hit a wall with how effective I could be before this.

Try Pop Goes the Weasel, Nurse's Calling, Play with Your Food and Sloppy Butcher/STBFL/Make your Choice.
