If two survivors are left, one will DC just before hook so that the other can get the hatch before you can close it, since it's instant basically at that point.
Aside from being forced to slug survivors now; could we please have some alternate solution to this problem? Thanks.

This will not be a problem once the husk system is implemented. (Husk system meaning, if a player disconnects, it won't instantly kill them but instead leave a husk behind that the killer can down and hook)

And what do you want? Sluging for 4kills everytime?
Your objective is find the survivor, not the hatch.

But does that husk count as a survivor towards hatch?
Will that husk auto-struggle?

It should as there aren't many practical uses for it besides preventing these situations from happening.
I can't think of other situations where the husk system would be crucial. There are certainly situations where the husk system would be handy. Perks like BBQ and STBFL could still gain tokens from disconnected survivors.

He did find a survivor, they DC'd what now? That's not how the game is supposed to play. but it's so damn abused with little to no punishment and is so effective there isn't currently a reason to NOT do it besides morals.

LOL, instead of slugging for a 4k, just play the game and if one gets out one gets out. No one is forcing you to slug, you're doing it on your own. I play killer as well as survivor, and slugging is just trash, and usually only sweaty killers will slug
