Free "Exclusives" logic.
An employee said something along the lines of 'there was no guarantee they would remain exclusive.'
"Come get this new phone! It's fully waterproof!"
The phone then proceeds to last 10 minutes underwater before breaking.
"Well, we never said it would be waterproof forever."

It's not a case of that. I personally think the cosmetics should be released for everyone to enjoy, and none should be locked behind codes- but the fact of the matter is, personal opinion doesn't come into it.
If they advertise something as exclusive, it should remain exclusive.

Well the "exclusives" are unfair. Unfair to console players and people who lost them. I hold the same view of legacy skins. Seriously, it's bs how this community is angry about everything

Our collective personal opinions dictate what the best decision is. It’s not a “this is how it is just because” scenario. If something was advertised as exclusive, and then they realized that it wasn’t fair, you make it fair. Saying you're going to do something because you already made the decision while less informed as to what the best option is doesn’t make sense.

Well, Legacy is a little different. It represents the playerbase who supported the game in a time where it had a lot of potential, but wasn't very polished. It's a reward for the dedicated players who entered the fog near Day 1 and stuck with it, grinding hundreds of hours for a single bloodweb of a single character.
These issues were not present for the console release.

An intelligent response, and one that has swayed my opinion slightly in all honesty- however a public decision was made regarding a reward and while not major, changing it afterward is a slap (albeit small) in the face to the legacy playerbase. I just don't understand why they would do this instead of working toward the tens of bugs introduced in the past couple of months.

Cause console came out way after. I feel like console should get a form of legacy as it's still heavily unfair. Console got Bill, Legacy isn't a big deal

You should protest by never using any of those skins in game again! That's the only logical thing to do.

Yes, I know. That's what I said. Console came around a year-ish after release, when a lot of the major issues had been worked on and the game had already made a name of itself.

I know, but still, some form of console legacy for dealing with so many bugs (seriously, PS4 constantly gets dcs from server crashes) lol

Now that's a valid point, console users do have to deal with a LOT worse in terms of gameplay stability. Sorry about that, by the way. I hope it's gotten better.

Yeah, I had to stop playing PC cause it gave me headaches and oh boy. Ps4 is laggy, and XBOX is even more so. I feel like if you can go 5 matches without being randomly dced you should get a legacy (obvious joke but yea)

No. I described something that was advertised with a feature only for the people at the company that created said product to use a band-aid excuse as to why it no longer has said feature.

Unfortunately Legacy is the one thing they did say would never return. I'm with you in the sentiment that console players have kinda been neglected in that regard. Sadly, Console will never see Legacy skins. Oh well, I suppose we also have the Blight ones? They kinda look like Legacy with all the yellow / orange-y goo?
