Why isn't the Summer BBQ double BP?
I know the devs stated that there would be a double BP event after the Summer BBQ, but wouldn't it make sense to have it at the same time?

I suppose it's because the summer BBQ event will already give 5k BP per hook/Gen complete with the special offering. So that is possibly sufficient of a BP buff, since it would make the event a "triple BP one" basically. And devs don't want another triple BP event as it "broke their game" back then when they tried it.

The event gives massively increased BP as is so long as you use the offerings and participate in it. Double bloodpoints on top of that would be bloodpoints on top of bloodpoints.
There will be double bloodpoints later this summer, just not on top of the event. I'd sorta' prefer it that way personally. Gives people more of a reason to come back later when the double bloodpoints start, and gives you another opportunity to get some grinding done in case you miss the event.

Cause it already increases your BP significantly.
A single hook is 4500-5500 BP. There are atleast 2 without offerings so with BBQ you will get 18-22k extra with little effort. And with extra offerings its possible to actually get more BP out of it than it'd be possible with just a normal 2x Bloodhunt.0 -
