Will owners of ex-exclusives get artifact versions of the items?
Owners of exclusive items that later became easier to get got Artifact versions of the item. For example, if you got a streamer's cosmetic by using a code, it would look exactly like its counterpart in the Charity Case except for its unique purplish rarity that only you can see. I can easily see this being the case for all of the exclusives everyone else is going to get soon, but I can also see people still paying extreme amounts of money for the "special version".
Does anyone have any information about this?

Naw it'd be too cool.
After all you gotta make sure people that didn't earn event exclusives get them.
I am completely fine with the Cash abused ones being available.
But NOT the event skins you couldn't sell and could ONLY earn.

Other than the fact that you got to use it years before everyone else, yes.

If you used the cosmetics, then you had exclusivity for two years and showed it off a lot. If you didnt use the cosmetics, then they didnt matter much to you. Regardless of that, you got your just value from that event (aka, just an event. Not even a big grind like Legacy was).

I wouldnt even care if Legacy is given out to everyone or not. But they literally cant do it because they promised they wouldnt.

Awesome, thanks for the quick response! I can see some people being disappointed that they won't have anything to show for owning it before this date, but it makes sense for the purchasable cosmetics since some people probably would just buy them for the special rarity

They stated multiple times on multiple streams and in comments on here as well that you had to participate in the events in order to have a chance to earn the event cosmetics!
This isnt hard to find at all...
Multiple times the question of if the donkey jacket was coming back and multiple times the answer was NO!
But here we are.

That doesn't mean anything. They never said those cosmetics would never be released again, just that you had to participate in the event to receive the cosmetic at the time. Saying they would never be obtainable again would be going against their word. But they didn't say that.
Just like everyone assumed the code cosmetics were exclusive but they never said those were never gonna be released again.

Yeah it only took me from June 14th to November 22nd to get 4 characters P3 and one P1. Totally not long at all!

When they nerf point generations, take away buffs for all point offerings, remove BBQ and Chili, remove WGLF and revert the game to 1.0-1.2. It’s not happening.

So do I assume correctly that it's not worth to make tickets when you lost your event cosmetics since the free version is exactly the same?

Out of curiosity, how will it be handled with those who own them? I assume the event cosmetics are tied to the savefile (which could explain them dissappearing for some). Do you go to each players savefile one by one (automatic task) and delete them before implementing them for free on everyone? Or do you not touch them at all? I'm kinda interested on the way it's getting done since I'm currently building my own automatic document program and I find it quite challenge and task heavy if I want to edit multiple documents at once.

I get why people would be upset. But dam, at least we getting them for free. It’s nice to let those who don’t have it, get them. I have a majority of the exclusives personally and look forward to getting the remaining (Gold Feng, David Donkey Jacket, Weekend Claudette, and Ace hats)
Now if anyone is upset about it being free and you are one of those who spent $700+ on a Ace Hat or gold feng. Then idk what to tell you other than...hold that L.
As for people who went to conventions strictly for codes...then, idk what to tell you either. I personally went and got codes, and still happy they want everyone involved.
