To all people who have no idea why they "nerf" spirit

This is just an adjustment for her, not like she's useless after the 3.4.0 update. Devs really spend a good amount of time to watch various DBD streamers and receive a lot of feedback from players to make that decision.

If you want to know why for yourself, stop making excuses and play on survivor side (with high rank) where you might get more than 50% spirit killer match of all killers and see if it's playable for you. And yes I do play spirit well, have lots of fun on the killer side, not so much on the other side.

I do play on the Survivor Side and even though 50% of matches aren't Spirit (They're Trapper for obvious reasons), I still enjoy those matches against the Spirit. Everytime I correctly predicted how fast she was going to pallet stun her is satisfying.

It may not be fun for you but "Spirit is Unfun to go up against" is not a fact, it's a subjective opinion.

Because of the archives you will see a lot of trapper. Not a fact, true, but definitely unfun for the majority of survivors otherwise they won't make these changes.

And these changes are fine in my opinion. I will say however that what most survivors want is to know exactly when she is phasing.

The problem with that is that she can't use sound ques or obvious animations that tells everyone that she is phasing. Her whole gimmick is that she's unpredictable. You have to assume she's in both states at once. However, I will say that she does need a very subtle change to her animations that lets the survivor know she is phasing.

Have her glass shards glow like they already do but brighter, but have her glass shards glow at random intervals even when she isn't phasing. Make it so that when she does phase, survivors who really pay attention can understand "Oh, she is phasing" or "She might be phasing". Because you can't be sure if the Spirit is phasing or not because her glass shards glow at random intervals, but at the very least you can be confident in knowing she is phasing if you kept a close eye on her.

She can also have her hand animation while she is phasing happen at random intervals as well, but will also happen the moment she's charging up her phase. Which again, forces Survivors to pay attention to her. These two telltales are probably more obvious than how the current glass shards glow (which they do by the way, it isn't a myth. But it isn't obvious and some maps make it bright all the way making it hard to spot)

What I am saying is, sure, give Spirit an indication that she is using her power however don't make it be obvious and make it happen in a sea of fake tells. So if she stops in her tracks around a loop to phase and you missed it, tough luck buddy but you might get a hit. This is probably more fair than actual Scratch Marks like I've seen people suggest in this forum (that would absolutely kill her as she is a killer that also requires a level of prediction on her part, if a survivor sees she has scratch marks it means she is phasing. And if she is phasing it means it's an obvious telltale that you don't need to do anything that generates noise or make a very easy guess as to where she is at to juke her)

You can easily out run a Spirit. If she catches you off guard it literally is her job.

    She's a freaking ghost/spirit for Pete's sake.

She should be scary. Should be jumpscare worthy.

She is fun. Like yes her prayer beads definitely needed a change but the vault thing isn't needed and the "collision " in her spirit mode doesn't need to be removed. If you see em' most likely they freaking saw you too. And if not then they probably have spine chill and got out of there before they could say "oh hi"

Those 2 changes were unneeded IMO.

@Peanits Like I understand "you could feel em on the gen" but like come on. You dont need the whoosh sound to know a spirit is about to be up in there.

Lol cause like I said above most likely if she sees you you as a survivor most likely know she's coming. Either with ur eyes or with spine chill. It ain't that hard to counter her.

Like yeah prayer beads and her movement speed out of the spirit realm was kinda iffy but... come on. What is her power used for now? Pallet faking? Unlikely, people already know that trick (but some may not).

I faced a lot of spirits. Yellow, Green, purple, and red. (Cause you know matchmaking is miserable)

And I could out run most of em. Red ranks yeah it's a tiny bit harder but you just cant nerf a killer saying that it only helps red ranks be "Fair" they are in red ranks for a reason no?

I might be spilling out gibberish but bottom line is, nerfing a killer for no reason (the vaulting and the No Collision nerf) is kinda dumb IMO.

The rest is fine by me lol.

I dont know why they removed collision. I didnt even noticed free hits bcoz of that. Good spirits go more for sound I think.

well at least without collision they cant body block you anymore in phasewalk. This will be fun xD

I see no collission as a buff rather than a nerf, honestly. Makes bodyblocking pallets much more easier.

likewise. Cant count the times i got body blocked by a survivor. I dont really understand why it should be a nerf. As if you bump into survs all game and get free hits lol. these survs must be potatoes
