Why does Hawkins even have pallets? They are all useless
This gotta be the most poorly designed map of all.

Hey, like two of them are safe!
And as long as there are loads of them, they can help. They are unsafe, so playing them will 100% result in you getting hit.
The only two things which are problematic are Bloodlust and Spirit Fury, because when the Killer does not need to break the Pallet or you have to rely on the Stun to get Distance, both make it very easy to catch Survivors.

You throw them to create distance not to loop.

Because the pallets there aren't designed to be looped into infinity.
You're meant to get one or two loops out of it drop it and then move on to get distance.
A lot of people are so used to having most Maps have a bunch of safe pallets that they couldn't look at least four or five times that the second that they can't do that assumed the pallet is completely useless

One of the best designed maps imo.
Less safe pallets, more hiding places.
2 -
Every map needs way less safe pallets.
Edit: except Hawkins obviously

Drop them so that the killer has to go around instead of through to create a bit of distance.
Sometimes you can pallet stun them as well, but it's risky.
Aside from that, it's just another indoor map, all of them are poorly designed.
The Game focused on many safe pallets with minimal windows, Lery's took the complete opposite approach with barely any pallets, most unsafe, yet tons of windows, and Hawkins focuses on lots of unsafe pallets, but most of all, it focuses on places to use Balanced Landing for looping.
Pretty sure Hawkins was made for Balanced Landing players who hate Shelter Woods.

The ones I don’t understand are the ones at a corner of a wall where the killer just goes around the pallet and hits as if there was no obstacle at all.
That seems useless IMO.

Negative once you learn to play around the pallets without dropping them it's much more fun...

Play with BL he change every thing on server room.

Some of the pallets are so bad that if you drop them you actually lose distance in a chance as the killer can walk around faster than your drop animation takes
0 -
But on that map the loops are small, so when you drop them the killer just goes around

That map is great if you have Balanced Landing. And terrible without it.

All of them are useless, huh?
1 -
Well if the killers right near you obviously he/she is going to go to the other side...
That's why you keep distance from the killer by throwing the pallets in chase, theres like 30 pallets on Hawkins.

It's one of the best designed maps it put an emphasis on hiding and avoiding the killer instead of looping

How can you gain distance when most of them will most likely result on you getting hit? The point is to waste time for suriviors do go gens, but how can you do that when even the weakest killers can knock you down in less than 40 seconds ?

This is how they are starting to design future maps. Just like how Freddy's maps got reworked. Less safe pallets more weak ones. Meaning if you loop and keep looping it's a easy down.
They seem to be moving in a balanced map idea for the future which should eliminate the need for bloodlust when all maps are done.

Yeah but even if you throw the pallets you lose distance, so you should just run until he catches up
0 -
He could have killed you 3 times

The middle pallets in the very center of the map in the rooms are safe, my loops consist of the many MANY turns in that map and using the rafters to win chases. But other than that yeah, the pallets on this map are pretty bad and I love getting this map as Killer, still haven't gotten that Stranger Things trophy for that Gen :(

Killers just go around them? How is this useful? It's like gaining 10 inches distance...
