How long until you're completely on edge?

I noticed something...

At the start of the game(as survivor), you do your thing, maybe cleanse a totem you found, maybe open a chest... but eventually you go to the generators.

You start doing the gen, nothing happened yet.

And nothing happens at any point during the gen progress. No heartbeat, no one else gets hurt, the obsession doesn't start a chase.

At which point do you start moving the camera everywhere because you need to know who the killer is and where the ######### he/she is?

Because, at least to me, this beggining stage where nothing happens is the biggest tension builder in the game. Specially if I don't know who the killer is and have to be careful with stealth killers.

Beginning of the match or in the middle due to the fact I don't hear anything. I swear Myers and pig are the most that get me.

I'm using Spine Chill, so almost no stealth killer can surprise me.

I’m always on edge. I don’t have the reflexes that I used to when I was 20 years younger, and I have an (manageable) issue with my left hand that makes it sometimes difficult to control my character (I wish I could do 360s), so I’m always paranoid. So at the start of a match I always look for a poor sap to work on a generator with.

The second premonition and spine-chill light up, I slowly walk away and hide. It usually works for me, unless it’s a stealth killer. I hate stealth killers, especially Michael. Ghostface is annoying but he makes me laugh when I catch him peaking around a corner.

My favorite killers to go against are the chainsaw bro’s because it’s easier to keep tabs on them unless the rest of my teammates are potatoes.

I run Spine Chill in 95% of my games, so I'm rarely caught off guard, if ever.

I usually run around the map to look for the killer so I know what I have to deal with. But I'm definitely on edge for most the game when it's Ghosty or Piggles that uses stealth.

In my experience, if a match starts and literally nothing seems to be happening in terms of heartbeat or contact with the killer, it's either a Trapper setting up, or a Myers building EW.

I always look around at the start if the killer isn't instantly recognisable.

Many killers as soon as they use thier power you can relax as you will get a sign when they come close but if they are stealth killers I will always looking around like a madman for the rest of the match.

    Match start.

    -Find/rush to a gen

    -Instantly see my closes pallet/loop/escape

-Keep an eye alternating on my possible exits

-Watch for obsessions icon moving or teammate getting hit

    -DAMN! Missed a Ruin skillcheck

-Stay on gen regardless because I have balls of steel

-Hear Myers hit tier 2, turn camera to the crack in the wall I hadn't noticed

-Cry as Daddy Myers takes me into his arms.

Oh I'm paranoid as ######### so I'm on edge almost immediately as soon as the match starts. I don't know how streamers like Puppers and Monto can just start running so confidently when they spawn, I'm always afraid the killer will just automatically know where I am. But i guess that's just because I'm a noob lol

I kinda miss the whole "Idk anything yet" feeling.

Status Effects are beginner-friendly, but i'll pretty much never get the feeling of the unknown again.

I always assume a stealth killer until I hear a heartbeat. I ALWAYS turn my camera in all directions so I don’t get grabbed by Myers, Ghostface, or Pig.

The biggest sigh of relief is when I hear a Nurse blinking at the very start. Weird I know but I play on PS4 and I love facing a Nurse. She’s very fun to face in my opinion.

To be honest I'm always on guard unless something is irritating me like a fly or a sibling, I Scan the screen at every angle making sure there isn't a ghostface stalking me from behind a wall or a Myers in between the shrubs waiting to pop his T2 on me, and about spine chill tbh it really helps you with Spirit as it can tell you if the spirit is phasing or not(the husk looking at you will not light the perk up) other than that tbh I don't use it I used it last week like 5 times then just left it as it takes the horror away :p

and yea you're right nurse is really fun to play against on Ps4 ( I play on Ps4) especially the good ones they give you a good challenge

If I can finish a gen by myself and I've not heard the killer's heartbeat, seen anyone chased and no one has been hit, my next instinct is to find all the dull totems. The killer is AFK or planning some NOED end build shenanigans. That or it's a TumTums guarding his chest in the basement. It's some kind of meme.

When I spawn in and see a random bear trap on the floor. Because now (even at the start of the match when there is no possible way there would even be traps there yet) I am going to check every single piece of grass for traps, probably going to check them next game too even when I know it's not the trapper

As soon as I open the forum and start reading posts.

Oh wait, you meant the game! As soon as I have to start looping the killer. I'm basically already on hook at that point.
