If I were in charge

Lets play a simple game, If you were in charge what would you change about the game? Dont come up with over the top dumb ideas but instead with things that could work and dont make one side overpowered at all.

First of all I would create a PTB to test removing the heartbeat The only reason people hate the tinkerer 2 exploit is because they simply dont expect a killer to show up without a heartbeat. I think this will make killers stronger without changing perks or attributes like bloodlust. I also would test having Thanataphobia as a passive because I think its one of the best balanced perks out there and making it a passive would greatly benefit killers. I think testing these 2 things would close the gap between killers and survivors. For the docs part I would add a static effect around the edges to let survivors know they are within range of the doctor.

I would remove the doctors decoys but that stuff is lame and I also would remove the lullaby from freddy. Since you cant hide from him properly anyways because you dont know in wich direction you need to hide. I think this will only be a very small buff.

I would remove Mori's as a offering and make it so you can always mori the last survivor in a match. I understood the nerf to BNP but atleast BNP didnt instantly end the match for a killer yet there was so much complaining. I think mori's are even more unbalanced because it promotes tunneling and does instantly end the survivors game. By making it passive and last survivor only you pretty much won the game anyway.

I really like the idea of a killer that can concede after the gates are open by some kind of mechanic in the basement without losing points to avoid survivors refusing to leave. So I would implement this aswell. I would also change the hatch system that injured survivors cannot enter the hatch. I think this completely removes the hatch standoff because its survivors waiting to get hit and then jump injured in the hatch. By adding somekind of sharp edges you could say that a injured person instantly dies when trying to jump in the hatch.

I personally think auras are dumb and I would remove and replace or adjust every single perk that has some kind of aura reading. I dislike that perks like BBQ and Bitter Murmer ruin stealthplay and perks like Empathy give you clear sight in the entire map when a survivor is beeing chased. You should not feel safe as a survivor and also not given free sight of a survivor as killer.

I would make all of the survivor offerings, addons and items 25% more expensive to buy, but make them universal and in return make everything killer sided 25% cheaper. I never liked that the blood web stuff are spread among survivors because in all honestly once you got all the perks you want the survivor is nothing but a skin.

I would change all of the rituals to be neutral survivor and neutral killer instead of character specific. Besides daily rituals with the maximum hold cap of 3 I would also add 2 weekly rituals and 1 monthly ritual that cannot be saved but will be gone the next week and month.

I would add rewards to the game for certain tasks. Hitting rank 1 in a month would increase your maximum blood experience cap by 25000 and each time you prestige a character you increase it by 5000. The more you prestige and more months you hit rank 1 means more experience you can hoard.

And lastly I would host a new Art contest on a monthly base. First beeing the survivor experience offerings that are all flowers and the second month the killers offerings that are all scratch marks. Those things are dumb as hell and the person winning would have his/her art in the game.

It's easy to say what you would do if you were in charge. I'm not going to say that the game is perfect. There are definitely issues in balance that need to be worked on, as well as matchmaking and the report system being a mess. But there are also things to consider, like the cost it would take to make these changes and the impact they would cause. Do you realize the impact on the game it would cause if you were to change every aura perk or remove auras? Or if you were to remove the heartbeat? Tier III Myers would reek havoc, and removing the heartbeat would sap away the unique strength of stealth killers. The Pig would just be an ordinary killer with traps. Why play her when the Hillbilly can ambush better, has better map control, and an insta-down ability? Perks like Insidious would be useless. The Nurse and Hillbilly are already strong, viable killers. Removing the terror radius, especially from killers that can cross large areas so suddenly, could make them broken. Being in control isn't as easy as it might seem.

You would make the survivor grind harder and the killer easier with those prices.

If I was in charge I would hire map designer that plays the game.

YEah but you can level any survivor and use those stuff on your main in return. Killers also benefit from addons more than survivors so them having them in more games is kinda fair imo.

I miss custom maps. Halo 3 was way ahead of its time with Forgemode. Imagine getting a specific map layout and then you yourself can place walls and buildings and trees. In Halo 3 and upwards this gave a whole lot of amazing maps. I think mapdesigner in DBD would create amazing maps for the game because often the community comes up with better and fair designs than the ones in charge.

If i was in charge i would let the killers have the exposed effect forever without perks, I would increase their movement speed to about 10x faster than that of a survivor, survivors would always wiggle off of the killers shoulder the moment they get picked up. Pallets would stun the killer forever, killers could vault windows a lot faster, survivors can get up from the dying state whenever they want.

Seems like a fair game so far.

I would change totem spawn points to be more randomized and hidden, and also add killer offerings that increase the number of totems on the map.
