Solo Surv - Feels like 2 vs 1
I'm tired of being paired with yellow or grey ranks while i'm purple or red on my own.
Solo surviving is a pain in the butt, to be honest. These guys sit in some corner as soon as they hear heartbeat. They don't touch a gen until ruin was finally found. They drop pallets without any need. Even if i run around the killer for a decent amount of time, they might be able to complete one generator (with 3 people).
It hurts to be hooked and watching these guys crouching in a corner, doing dull totems or failing skillchecks. I usually die on my first hook, so i try to get safe unhooks and make use out of deliverance.
The ability to see ranks in lobby is supposed to be gone soon. I'm not sure why though.
For me, solo surviving is far away from being fun at the moment. Mainly due to matchmaking. I find lobbies quick, but they are filled with newbies (100h playtime), while i have 4k hours. Guess i am forced to play sweaty SWF.

Yeah, solo playing is pain in the ass, 8 out of 10 games my team is braindead potatoes or blandettes with Urban evasion, crouching all game when you're on a hook. Also when you're playing solo and 3 other persons are swf, most of the time they Just left you to die.if you want to win solo you need to be very lucky :/

I mean, if they are SWF, this can happen. The maximum Rank Difference is 6, this is fulfilled, if they are SWF.
I also had a game recently where I was Rank 1 and another person was Rank 6 with their Rank 20 friend (legit a Level 2 David with No Mither). Went as expected, since it was basically a 2v1 instead of a 4v1.
I just go for the Blackpip in this case, I cant be asked to queue up all the time.

I want to encounter people on my rank and not be some SWF space filler.
Don't tell me ranks won't matter.

Chill Dude, dont put things in my mouth I did not say. Something that I really dislike.
You can thank the Devs for that. Because apparently it does not matter if Low Rank Survivors want to play with their Friends. Everyone gets ######### by this, randoms because of the SWF-group and the low Ranks because of the fact that they verse Killers which are much higher Ranks than they are.
So, nope, you are not allowed to have fun in this case. And its not the fault of the SWF either, not everyone play that good or that often to be in higher Ranks/good at the game. Instead of just using an average, you will get paired with those people vs Killers of your Rank. Nothing to be done about.
They wanted to stop bullying of Low Rank Killers with that, but it will not work anyway, whenever someone wants to bully a Low Rank Killer, they will find ways to do it.
(Thats from someone who either plays Solo or 2 man SWF, so I know this struggle that if the other 2 are SWF witha low Rank, we also need to do more to actually have a chance. And meanwhile my other friend started DBD again, but I cannot play with him, because he will not have that much fun to play vs Red Rank Killers, when he is not even able to hit basic Skill Checks...)

That wouldnt really make sense with the pictures OP provided though. Even if those 3 OP got grouped with were a 3 man SWF, they SHOULD be paired with a solo player close to their rank and facing off against a killer close to their rank. If OP was part of the SWF, sure...you could say they were kinda asking to be placed in over their heads due to matchmaking going off OP's rank. If thats not the case though, like in these pics... Matchmaking is failing us.

There is a hard cap of 6 Ranks. It also depends on how long they are searching for a match, ideally they end up in a similar Rank, but I can imagine that a 3 man SWF takes some time to search for a game, especially with such low Ranks.
And if it takes a while, the game checks if any lobby is available, and then there is OPs lobby with 3 free spots and a player who is in between 6 ranks of the highest Player of the SWF.

I get saving people from waiting forever... But still sucks when newbies are thrown over their heads due to matchmaking. Ive been paired with rank 20 killers while myself and my entire team were well more than 6 ranks better.

First part: I am not saying that this is any good, it is really bad to be honest, because it does not fulfill the purpose and just screws over low Ranks who want to play with Friends. Just explained how it work.
Later Part: Those are some Edge Cases which are still happening, according to Peanits. They are trying to solve it. (I also had games where the smallest difference was 8 Ranks, the largest (which should be the relevant) was 11... Which is almost double the "allowed" Rank Difference... Like I said, Edge Cases)

I joined their lobby, Not sure what u try to achieve here. Ur SWF theory might be one explanation but surely not the only reason why this happens in 80% of my queues.

I totally understand what you mean, but the funny thing is, my problem is exactly the opposite, whenever I play solo, and that's 90% of the time, I get matched with a lot of red/purple rank survivors (I'm in green ranks usually), that ruin the game for me. Red rank Claudette dropping the pallet right next to the gen I'm working on, even though she is not in a chase, purple rank 3 swf blocking the exit gates while the killer is on me, so I can't run out and die on hook. Tbh I'd rather play with hiding and crouching yellow/grey rank survivors and die on first hook to go into another match right after than play with red/purple rank survivors that do nothing but being toxic, but that's DbD. Of course NOT ALL red/purple rank survivors are like this, but the same goes for yellow/grey ranks. But I have to say that I only play for fun, I don't care about my rank and yes that's a true fact, I never did. I just want to have a good time and if those toxic people ruin my fun, okay, sure that's really annoying, but just let me die on hook and next game please :)

Mostly it feels even rather 1 vs 1. It happens so often that I'm quite the only one who does and finish gens. There were even matches where I did 3 or 4 gens only by myself. Yesterday I did 4 whole totems in a match and the others did nothing, ofc the killer had Noed and I got the classical 1-hook and died. Proof that other players don't care anything but being salty and blame others in the after chat. And yes, playing solo survivor became a mess, you literally get punished for not playing SWF. But killers still whining because they don't get their insta 4Ks in every match, double standards at its best.
