DS shouldn't have a 60 second timer but...

What everybody seems to be overlooking, is that "tunneling" is part of the killer's objective.

DS and similar effects should not exist. Period.

I really would't care because I can drop the pallet before the killer is in stun range so he would not get to use their perk. besides it only 60 seconds, for me as a killer main, if I Think a survivor has DS, I just leave them down on the ground. It usually makes a survivor wastes time to pick up that downed survivor( so less people on gens)

I will tell you why deactivating on hook would be stupid.

Let's say there is a camping killer, he hits another person twice before they can unhook you. The person who just unhooked you is now hooked. You lost your DS, now you are being tunneled.

Now lets say it would deactivate when another person get theirs activated.

Except you're on another side of the map trying to heal or whatever, because hitting an unhooked person, picking them up and hooking them takes some time.

Only adjustment it needs is it shouldn't deactivate when you're in dying state.

I wouldnt mind if they even doubled the timer and then making it disabled when another survivor is hooked. Tunneling should have severe consequences, but getting hit by random DS after hooking 2 different people feels like sh*t.

This is literally the third thread with the EXACT SAME SUGGESTION in the last 36 hours. DS doesnt need a nerf. There are so many scenarios where this is a very poor suggestion, and every time anyone suggests an alternative, they are ignored.

So for the third time, I will say my piece.

Instead of disabling on the next hook, it should stay up either for 60 seconds, or until you are healed into the Healthy state. Someone else already addressed WHY the original suggestion is an awful one, and I think as long as you arent running Adrenaline against a NOED killer when last gen finishes, this suggestion is perfect, since it would only really stump DS' end game potential, meaning people would stop running DS with Adrenaline, or they would work around the idea of using it early game, which also takes away any worry of getting hit with it during late-game/EGC.

Except I am not because the person who unhooked me went into dying state the second I was unhooked. So I am 4 seconds ahead of him...

You cant have a cookie and eat said cookie. Doubling the timer would be useless if someone was hit twice in order to unhook you...

This 100%. There are too many ways that the killer can abuse DS out of the equation if it disables when someone else gets hooked. In these scenarios, he can still slug the DS player, before hooking the savior, too, which according to the suggestion, would disable Decisive Strike.
