The better change for Balanced Landing

What makes balanced landing broken as hell is the maps it can be abused on. Like Haddonfield and Ormond. Both of which are already known poorly designed maps. What good is balanced landing in sheltered woods? Or Yamaoka Estate?

So what if balanced landing was no longer an exhaustion perk, which means the speed boost is removed, and instead is a fall stagger reduction perk. That's why I use it. Fix maps like Haddonfield where it's busted, and let the stagger be the ONLY trait it has.

100% the only reason I use it too. That stagger be taking forever to recover

I'd be ok with the change if killers also had a minor stagger when landing, or at least couldn't swing mid-air.

Can't lie, but killers have never been Nerfed as badly as suriviors. The number of things suriviors lost and killers gain to what killers lost and suriviors gain, can't be compared.

I would disagree with these type of post, but then you have people who thinks spirit shouldn't get nerf..

Firstly, unneccessary change. Because in few maps you can not NEVER use BL and in some maps you can RARELY use it. On the other hand you can use all other exhaustion perks in EVERY map. I know balance landing has an advantage here but it is a strong perk. As it has advantage it also has disadvange depending on the map. So these things already balance themselves. Also I do not think that they can create infinites. Why? Because bloodlust and entity blocks the windows. If they wanna nerf the BL then they should fix some maps which are not enough to use BL. Then this change would mean something. But with these kind of maps, nerfing balance landing means many times killing that perk.

Bloodlust needs a change anyways. Maps like Hawkins and Badham are examples of what the developers want to see with maps, and every killer just bloodlusts and respects pallets. There's no mind game to that.

Nurse and Spirit were busted. That needed to change. Balanced Landing was only too powerful in certain maps, and those maps are gonna be getting reworks anyways, like Haddonfield. The issue I have right now is the servers favor killers in 80% of the situations between pallet and window interactions. Sprint burst and balanced landing are the only "reliable" exhaustion perks right now, and one is getting nerfed.

Like I said. I'd rather BL just be a stagger reduction, with no exhaustion or speed boost tied to it. If killers can stack Pop, Ruin, Dying Light, and Sloppy Butcher (you know...4 game stalling perks), then I feel like survivors should be allowed their few strong perks that are usually situational at best.

Pffffft imagine seriously saying that there wasn't an overcry when Nurse was nerfed.

Survivors didn't like killer being strong that the simple truth however i do admit that spirit is frustrating but that's it. Balanced landing cause way more issues for most killers than the nurse and spirit combined simple fact.

Stagger always have been the issue not the speed boost, survivors like broken things and so do killers another fact. BL is now in a better place like the insta-heal which are still strong but survivors don't play them anymore like nurse.

    No

Balanced Landing is an Exhaustion perk. Therefore, the formula is being followed where when one is "EXHAUSTED" it can't be used till the cooldown is over. So, no.

Survivors actually have enough perks offering this speed bonus.

Yes. It would have been more interesting to remove this bonus, and to make Balance Landing a fall stagger reduction perk only. And obviously correct the maps if necessary.

The old Balance Landing would continue to exist... but at the cost of two slots.

No the spirit was so frustrating. I am main spirit killer and also play survivor. I know that people can not escape from it even they use iron will. Iron will just makes it harder for me to find survivors but I find. Balance landing does not save you, it just helps you. Killer still catches the survivor even there is BL with non-stagger effect. As survivors, we are not immortals. The survivor will be knocked out. Also insta heals are nerfed which I do not use. There is nothing that survivors can use that is so strong except some perks. Killer side is always strong. Ebony moris, 3 hatches with iri head. We have nothing to strenghten ourselves. But killers are already strong and they have pretty good add-ons still. Balance landing does not need nerf. If it needs, then they should fix some maps which does not allow us to use BL never.

It would make more sense for balanced landing to be a perk focusing on stopping the staggered effect of a height fall, and less about a speed boost.

Spirit did not lose more then half of her mind game lmfao. she lost free hits with phasing due to collision and some reappearance speed on purples (along with prayer beads but those were lowkey broken). She is easily still one of the strongest killers in the game, the devs are getting a lil bit better at balancing.

also vault mindgame is gone but lol

i agreed. No speed boost , just stagger reduction

I agree too. I'm all for more niche perks that make certain aspects of the gameplay easier, rather than more situational speed boosts. In my opinion the stagger reduction has always been the most valuable aspect of the perk anyway.

The big issue I have is that as a survivor while falling I continue to fall in the direction I last was going before I left the platform, while the killer gets to float or glide around in any direction in mid air.... #########??? Maybe some of the spiritual type killers I can forgive this for but when a fast killer gets to glide through the air in whichever direction he want in the air, and also has no stagger effect what so ever is a complete breakdown of that aspect of the game, regardless of survivor perks

YES! I feel like a feather, when falling down as a killer. Especially if its not a vault down place.

Its a huge problem on haddonfield, because you glide away from the house, while survivors fall straight down and run back to house. Even with their stagger animation, they can keep constant distance. Before BL nerf, they just had straight infinites on those places.

And still! People here crying for permanent stagger removal on BL. In normal scenario you would jump from height one time, but with perma BL stagger reduction, you can do this multiple times on one loop. 1 no skill perk to prolong chase to the point where killer has to ignore you and go after another target. No! Thank you!

People want BL just to abuse infinites. Thats it! Prove me wrong.
