Forcing Legions power to work. Version 3.0
Now that 3.4 makes on hit effects no longer work my old tactics for making his power work are null and void.
Luckily some perk buffs give me all new ways to make it work!
- Nemesis
- Furtive Chase
- Beast of Pray
- Thatataphobia/Ruin
Nemesis makes the Survivor that stunned you or a Survivor that unhooks the Obsession (with Furtive) Oblivious for 60 seconds (at tier 3) and reveals their aura for 4 seconds. Beast of pray also grants undetectable.
So just ensure you get stunned at some point by any means including DS and then let BT do the rest. Beast of Pray acts as a failsafe for if they don't drop pallets to stun you.
Countering the Nemesis + BoP combo is actually pretty simple. Just drop pallets early and get to a safe pallet ASAP to force them to break bloodlust.
However the same is not true for Nemesis + Furtive, because the unhook immediately procs the effect and lets you go after them without needing to be stunned first. Additionally since his speed was buffed it isn't even that hard to do with the aura effect.
It's still POSSIBLE to avoid, since if you aren't given DW within 31 seconds then Nemesis won't be enough to down you. However it's far more effective and reliable than the first 2 versions of this build, also this one does not rely on Stab Wound Study and Franks to work although it's recommended that you bring them anyways.

with beast of pray and nemesis Franks mixtape might actually be useable

What's funny is that I dont think BT will trigger if the new obsession unhooks (woth BT respectively)
1 -
True, might be a good 4th perk if you are confident you don't need the slowdown.

I wouldn't count on it. The Obsession switch happens AFTER the unhook so it might resolve as still being in the TR.
1 -
Oh i didn't realize they get exhausted!

I don't understand why Nemesis should proc with Furtive Chase, don't you still need to be stunned somehow?
1 -
The proc is whenever the Obsession changes.
Nemesis also changes the Obsession if you are stunned or blinded.

oooooOO!
Well that's massive, thanks for the clarification.

FYI it has been tested out and it doesn't work.
Nemesis only procs with stuns/blinds

BS
true but BS

Actually I think that's for the best. A different interaction would make Legion just too strong to face, and promote proxy camping.
Instead like this Nemesis doesn't need to change and can open very interesting plays, which can be countered as well.

Forget about Legion for a second. That interaction would have been amazing on literally anyone! And it would further encourage not tunneling and camping!

Yeah we have to find a new way for him to work with dark devotion and stbfl not being optimal anymore sadly.

you can't forget about Legion, they exist - and as I said I'd rather prefer have a perk (Nemesis) that can work with an underwhelming killer instead of forcing Devs to nerf even more Legion, for example by forcing mending timer to stop in close proximity of them, no matter the TR.
Also the name of the topic is Forcing Legion Power to work, it's a bit too late to forget about it :P.

Especially when they killed dark devotion which was one of the one ways i scared survivor with legion. Legion lost stbfl sloppy and dark devotion. And he gains nemesis seems fair.

I'm tired of seeing people misspelling it..
it's Beast of PREY not PRAY
prey = food (animals hunt their prey)
pray = talking to a god (we pray at dinner)

On further examination the perk DOES work on DS.
It's just Furtive that doesn't work.
DS Legions at your own risk.

"DS Legions at you own risk"
Ok...that's not something I ever expected to hear... but I like it.
PUT IT ON A SHIRT!
