the oni and slugging
so devs can you explain to me your thought process behind the onis power cancelling itself when you pick someone up forcing us to slugg survivors to be effective?
i already find slugging a boring tactic and being forced to do it makes him feel clunky and unfun i mean if you have to punish us for picking someone up just make the power bar deplete by 20 percent or something, that will at least give us a fair choice.

I don't understand how slugging is any more "boring" than being on the hook unless somehow button mashing entertains you.

I think they did it to break him out of his power because he doesn't have a way for Survivors to break him out. Also if your power goes down while you're carrying someone then you're wasting your own power regardless so it's better if the power turns off when you pick them up instead of it just draining.

Could you elaborate on that? I don't see how slugging would be more boring from a killers POV than not slugging is.
I find slugging for the 4k to be quite boring because you just wander around the map mostly doing nothing.

the reason why is if you don't slug and you do pick up the survivor it takes away your power, without your power you are just a m1 generic killer the hillbilly can slug and still use his power which is why he is so effective and entertaining the oni is just a discount hillbilly with allot of rules and requirements this is why i theorize that the devs plan on nerfing hillbilly next.

So how is slugging boring then if you get to use your power to zoom around the map to find and chase survivors?

look i just don't find slugging fun, its a personal thing i like playing killers with interesting powers like billy/demogorgon/freddy and the oni has an interesting power but i also like winning and the fact that you get punished for wanting to sacrifice a survivor which is the objective is really boring to me and feels clunky. leaving people on the ground doing nothing is not fun for anyone and i don't like that his power basically forces you to slug to be effective

Slugging is peak killer doing the objective efficiency.
It is the best pressure a killer can do a killer being a great slugger is amazing and means faster sacrifices with fewer gens done.

Personally, I feel the power should cancel out when you pick up a survivor but refund you your remaining time back into the charge bar. I think that's a great buff for him and it will make the only annoying thing about him feel much better.
