Anyone Else Disappointed in the New Perks?
They’re very underwhelming, both Survivor and Killer, with the Exception of Nemesis, which can possibly make a stealthier build. I’m looking at them from a high rank perspective, and to be honest, they look like they’re better off as offerings than as actual perks. Maybe even ultra rare offerings for killer and survivor.

They're not insane, but i let's see which synergies are coming up.
1 -
the killer perks are god awful to AT BEST NICHE while there is 1 horrible survivor perk and 1 REALLY GOOD SWF perk and 1 overall good perk for the higher ranks, for lower ranks it wont be that good
1 -
Survivor perks have a very, very low standard, I was actually relieved these ones weren't a total disappointment.
8 -
the killer perks a best with other perks that synergies with it
2 of the survivor perks a pretty average but amazing in certain situations
but lucky break is useless

I think the Oni perks are better than Demogorgon perks, tbh. I still don't know what's the point of Surge

Do people not understand that Blood Echo debuffs everyone injured, it could literally replace sloppy butcher and provide a counter for dead hard. Zenith can help new killers figure out map loops and what bad rng the map provides. Nemesis will be a counter stun perk and replace Enduring since it will debilitate survivors when they stun. It will also stack with PWYF and give you bonus speed just by getting stunned or Furtive Chase and Remember and always get a guaranteed obsession hit/hook.
1 -
Nemesis replacing Enduring?
laughs in Blood Lodge, Hawkins Lab, and Reworked Badham (Basically all pallet towns).
0 -
the survivor ones are very interesting although the pallet resetting is a meme perk

Actually no...
I've seen every single DLC this game has released and I knew what to expect.
I'm not disappointed because I already KNEW the Killer perks were going to be clearance sale garbage.
The only one that looks interesting is Blood Echo. That one's going to be good on anti healing Ghost, Legion and killers that can injure and down survivors quickly... but that's probably it. Also, there's no way of actually knowing if you're getting any benefit from this perk.
6/10 because of it's niche use.
The Zanshin Tactics perk is training wheels for newer players that should've been on the general perk pool. I only buy DLC with shards and you should too. This perk has no business as PAID content lol
2/10 because they're training wheels like Predator but for something less useful.
Nemesis might be good if Furtive Chase works with it. If not then it'll be niche on stealth killers and killers that can leave the obsession and come back to them quickly.
2/10 or 4/10 because it's a defensive Dark Devotion.
2 -
The perks are interesting, I like them, bit hard to use though, as most of them rely on synergy with other perks or a specific playstyle.
0 -
That no bleeding perk could be good but with timer no thanks. Gonna keep my shards so thanks for that.
0 -
It cant have no timer there is no counter for that perk and any perk that is blood related on killer side would be countered by it. So basically that's the reason.
1 -
Survivor perks:
Lucky Break is absolute garbage. Now while bleeding can be useful for tracking sometimes, in the vast majority of cases scratch marks or auras are what matters. In the few times you ARE caught by blood trails alone, how often is that going to be in the first 2-3 minutes of being injured for the match. Is that tiny amount of cases that this actually effects worth burning a perk slot? Of course not.
Any Means Necessary also looks like trash to me. Seriously, how often do you actually get killers that don't break pallets? You would NEVER get an actual decent pallet out of this perk because it HAS to be broken, that's what make them good. Again, you're burning a perk slot hoping a tiny little slim chance occurrence happens, and that when it does it's even useful.
Breakout is going to be cancerous with coordinated SWF. Outside of that, it's going to be a minor annoyance at best.
Killer:
Nemesis, miiiight be good. It's going to be strong until they nerf Legion again. It's going to be decent and is basically a way better version of Dark Devotion since it actually does something for the chase you're in. Overall though I'd prefer more concrete chase perks over it.
Blood Echo could be solid. It's going to be great fun in "don't heal" slowdown builds for Legion, Freddy and especially Plague. Outside of that it's very reliant on people not healing, and then finding them quickly. It's probably good, exhaustion always is when it isn't 5 seconds.
Zanshin Tactics is a very noob-friendly perk. Like WoO for killers. It would be nice for those times when you turn a corner and the pallet is against the side you're coming from, so you don't see it until it's stunning you, but again, not worth a slot for a mild convenience. Perks like this make me feel like they need something like Warframe's Exilus slot, basically an extra slot for a perk but limited to a very small few that give small amounts of information or help, rather than anything actually gamechanging. That's the only time I'd be tempted to run this over something else. I also hope it doesn't highlight them the same colour as Freddy's dream pallets for him.
2 -
The pallet perk is a meme peek but could have some utility. Mostly picking up pallets that shouldn't have been dropped. I'm thinking semi safe pallets that might not have been broken.
The no blood trail one with Iron Will could be good. I've heard different versions of how it works so I'll reserve judgement.
The wiggle bar one might help in body blocking situations. But is unlikely to be effective.
All of Oni's perks are pretty meh.

No Blood Trail for 3 minutes is strong but only one-time use. I'd rather have it be thirty seconds for multi-use honestly.
Speeding up struggle timer and speeding up while the killer is carrying someone sounds deliberately crafted for SWF groups who want to sandbag. I always hate those perks because it has no use other than to troll the killer via an already broken mechanic the game was fundamentally not balanced for.
Reusing pallets is nice for punishing a killer not destroying pallets, but for most loops, the killer will destroy them if they're too long, or the time it takes to reset is too dangerous. A meme perk for SWFs mostly I think, as they'll try to bodyblock with one person and another tries to recycle pallets.
Killer perks I actually like, but Tactics, like Bloodhound and Predator, really don't mean much for killers who have map awareness already.
0 -
I'm not impressed with any of the perks. The ability to reset a dropped pallet is neat, but the rest are bad or meh.
0 -
Blood echo? The killer's perks for this chapter is better than suriviour's perks by far.
0 -
Survivor perks aren't bad but the killers ones are just pretty bad.
0 -
Hemo is not Mangled if you are looking for the healing debuff name. Hemo is just more blood. But the other debuff is kinda insane being for the entire map for sure
2 -
Im more disappointed in killer and his trash power.

So real talk?
I think not a single perk is worth a single euro .
So about that palett perk which some people think to be strong? A good killer will mindgame around unsafe paletts and not give a ######### whether you reset the unsafe palett, safe paletts (important ones or god palett will be broken and that is about it). The wiggle thingy is uhm yeah it is there, idk if it stacks.
In short no idea why i should buy this dlc.
Killer side, idk it is a bad billy that looks asian and comes with lackluster perks. So yeah idk hf i guess.
0 -
You all realize that blood echo gives hemorrhage and not mangled right? Or is there something I am missing?
1 -
You are missing the exhaust effect.
0 -
true, forgot. but that means you can stack it with sloppy butcher and really start debilitating survivors, especially with killers like Legion and Plague.
0 -
People are still expecting to get 6 meta perks with each chapter otherwise they're dissapointed. I myself find all these perks amazing with exception of Zanshin Tactics which is a training wheels perk but those are fine to exist too.
There is a thing called diversity and fun which these perks deliver. They aren't 100% useful in every build but they can be used for off meta fun build. Some even have potencial o be really good on some killers and create pretty strong bulds.
It's a pity that people won't settle for anything less then DS/PGTW power level that are usefull in every single match.
2 -
Survivor side is as always utterly useless. Killer side has one useless perk for highranks, but Zanshin Tactics are fine for new killers to learn vault and pallet locations. Nemesis has OP synergy with Legion and some nice synergys. Blood Echo is probably high tier on all fast hooking killers, preventing all exhaustion perks on injured survivors, which is overwhelming due to no heal meta. Situational, but then overwhelming. So killer side is average, while survivors are useless.
0 -
Wraith would say otherwise
0 -
Windows of opportunity for killers is 100% useless for veterans. It was only useful for survivors because you don't know which pallets your team have used, but as a killer you already have that information.
Blood echo looks decent, but not good enough to replace anything in my current build. Same with nemesis.
Survivor perks look like all garbage really. Makes up for the stranger things chapter, where killers got 100% useless perks and survivors got 2 decent ones.
0 -
Lmao really a guaranteed hard counter to exhaustion perks for 45 seconds every hook with no cool down is bad?
A perk that lets u reuse unbroken pallets even if it has a timer is incredibly powerful.
These are bad perks to u? Sorry we dont all consider meta builds fun. It dont require much skill to play BBQ, Ruin, PGTW, Dying Light or Adrenaline, Dead Hard, Spine Chill, and DS.
0 -
I play solo mostly so what i saw breakout as is a way to do a sabotage build. The speed burst would allow you to get ahead of the killer to drop the hook from 99-100 and they can wiggle out before they find the next one cuz of the wiggle speed. Not sure if this is anything tho
1 -
Guarantee you exhausted perk? Please reread the description of the perk, it requires a stipulation in order to work. Picking up pallets again, this will definitely work in yellow ranks, again, not a high rank perk to use unless you want to meme around with.
Also, perks don’t require skill in general, the fact that you name perks and align them with skill in the first place shows your understanding of the game.
0 -
I know what it says and I know that it will be fun on certain killers. Not every killer people want to heal against.
0 -
Zanshin Tactics is, literally, useless. That's something that can be easily seen and recognized for anyone who's paying attention.
Blood Echo & Nemesis seem a little cheap. There's no real benefit to either, and nothing at all special to have.
All of The Oni's Perks are useless, actually. I'd probably just make my own build with him.
Yui's Perks are actually very beneficial, and can help out other Survivors greatly. The Oni seems like a great character, but his Perks are terrible and require more overall thought and creativeness.

Ugh I dislike all these try hards in this thread defining interesting or fun perks as "useless" because they aren't better than the meta perks they use.
1 -
The survivor perks sound more like fun perks like the pebble where you may want to have fun but you wont get much with them in terms of winning the game.
Probably SWF may try to take advantage of Breakout but solo players won't touch it.
I don't see what is the point of the blood perk - you have to stack it with other similar perks to make it work in god knows how rare situations where blood is important
Any means is the only thing I may try to have fun with but after it comes on the Shrine
The killer perks I have to see the changes first to tell.
Currently Nemesis is broken on so many levels and really cheap in general to activate, way too strong effect / 2 effects actually/.
Blood Echo may be way too much on Plague esp, Stabby boy. Okayish on the other killers have to see in real situation. It will be strongly related to how good/bad you teammates are which worries me and may force some stupid gameplay from new players like healing vs Plague that I hate so much ... It def has the potential to be very annoying in a bad way
Zanshin - no ... new players only - like windows for survivors

+1 disappointed in survivor new perks. No anti tunnel perk beside DS. I just wait new perks that destroy tunnel killer.
