Possibility to heal yourself without perk?

Would you enjoy make room for an extra perk to make a good combo? Like i would like to test some good builds but i ALWAYS have to reserve a space for self-care. That's a PAIN in the 455

Emergency Med-Kits are kinda fantastic now.

You've got medkits and several conditional self healing perks so no need to make it baseline. In almost every scenario self healing is slower than team healing and with the right builds Team healing can become extremely fast.

I know, but the game are forcing you guys to pick med-kits. If i want to use a toolbox or a flashlight i would need the perk to heal myself, if i never want to use a med-kit (because i don't feel comfortable with it) than i must have this perk or 2 others to find someone running around the map. Considering that i dont have friends to play with, i always play solo and i won't run (ocasionally) all over the map to find someone and, sometimes, people miss skillchecks ( i never miss in normal circumstances, so i prefer myself to do the job).

It's super easy to find and to buy a medkit, it's "easy" to call your friends or to find other survivors to heal you with unique perks. But, i'm not allowed to heal myself, because that would be what? slow? so the game wants me to RUSH?. The thing is, developers tries so hard to fill up this useless void, by creating more useless perks, like boost medkits (unbalacing the game) and perks like (destroy a totem and auto heal inside a closet) that are just s*. Give the option to auto medicate without the use of perks or kits, why not?

If you say i need to use bond. Than the game stucks me with a priori build, just because it wont let me heal myself. For exemple: "To not heal youserlf use 2 other perks to get around". If you want to use the medkit, ok Good for you. But i like to use flashlights and i wish that i could use more random perks, but i can just use 3 random perks (and 3 perks dont get the combo i was hopping for), because the 4th one i must save it for self care or use a boring medkit, that i personally dont like it.

In my country we say: "está engessado" - The perks are plasted, to ordinary builds.

Also Fibjiean, the game it's not about speed. If i'm injured i would go save the other survivor, but if i see the killer camping around, i would prefer to heal myself then go after the survivor.

The problem with new players is about speed. The game must end in 3 and half minutes otherwise the game is a joke. I already played a lot, probably as much as you have, and in all my games the most fun ones was those who took 10-15 minutes.

    Also, medkits.

Btw you know healing at 15% speed would take around 1 minute and 47 seconds?

I'm not a new player. I've been playing for over three years.

The game is all about speed. It's not about making the game end as quickly as possible, it's about beating your opponent to your objective. As a killer, you have until the survivors escape to find and kill all of them. As a survivor, you have however long it takes the killer to track down and kill you and all your teammates to power the generators and escape. An early head start can be the difference between victory and defeat. It's a race, whatever side you're on.

Healing yourself over a period of 107 seconds is hugely inefficient. You could do a generator in that time, or find a teammate who could heal you in 16. Time management is at the core of success in this game - not minimising how long the match takes necessarily, but knowing what is appropriate to spend your time on and when. And unless the killer is either afk or otherwise poses no threat whatsoever, there is never an appropriate time to spend over a minute and a half healing yourself.

Just bring a medkit or search for one, there are other perks that can help you with that. Or ask your teammates to heal you. The game already offers a variety of ways to heal yourself up, and Self Care is not even that common now, people are leaning towards other "meta" perks.

Self Care is somewhat decent when paired up with Botany Knowledge, but that's 2 perks you're occupying just for the heals, so it may be a better option to just run Botany with a good medkit.

As a final note, you may not need to heal at all with some specific killers, or at least it wouldn't be very efficient to do so. Healing is important, yes, but it's not something that demands you to have Self Care in your loadout to do the job.

LOL I know it's a meme to say, "Omg, that Claudette is healing with a Mangled effect," but imagine if your whole team healed like that. I know Botany Knowledge exists (and maybe Leader if you happened to pass by someone with it), but then it just becomes super unproductive. At least Self Care prevents more teammates from being off gens, but this might just force people to heal each other just like we already do. Though, we'll never know until we test it I suppose. I just find it unnecessary, since perks like Pharmacy exist as well. Even with Plunderer's I'm sure you can find something nice.

You are right about the speed, but I'm not saying to delete the ability to be healed by other players, and i'm not denying the use of med-kit. I'm just asking to make it possible to allow the player to heal himself without the use of a perk, wasting unecessary slot for it. That slot that i could be using one more usefull perk.

I understand what you're suggesting, I just think it wouldn't turn out well in practice. There is very little good and a whole lot of bad behaviour and bad tactical decisions that could come of giving survivors the ability to heal themselves extremely slowly.

Yes. Everybody who says something here demands me to bring a medkit. I don't want to, i prefer flashlights, maps or keys. In the other hand i'm stuck with the need to find a player near me or use this s** perk. I don't want any of these options. I want the ability to heal myself without the perk. ( i dont care about the speed, since i would get less hits if i could use different perks) Because why not allow it? The 15% is a way to not kill the self-care perk. The same way that Self-Care is already lowed because of the other possibilities. Otherwise, if self-care is already at 100% normal healing speed than nobody would waste time to find their buddies, because it's all the same.

If DBD allowed today people to self healing would it make a big difference? Would people reject others to heal them? 99,9% would not ( i believe). But for me (and probably for other players) this option could be usefull sometimes

I’d like to heal yourself without anything but it would make med kits pretty useless

I mean if you want a healing perk that'll do well with other perks, do Inner Strength Quick n Quiet and Head On.

Survivors don't need an embedded ability to heal themselves without using a perk slot.

I myself also kinda don't like always needing to bring SC into my survivor matches, I used to never run it but now I run it all the time, however as annoying as that can sometimes be, survivors do not need this kind of change.
