Cosmetics vs. QoL and Balancing
I love cosmetics. I enjoy purchasing them as a way to show off a cool looking character, mix and match outfits, and to try to match my swf teammate appearances. They're fun and I'm glad there's a good selection.
But I wouldn't mind not having any new cosmetics released for a few months, or at a significantly reduced rate for awhile, if that meant more time could be spend on quality of life enhancements and balancing issues. Issues with getting disconnecting during a game ("Network Access Required" error), the party system as a whole ("In Match" husks left behind by people who switch to different games, constant "errors," some party members not joining a pre-match lobby, etc.), and rebalancing gameplay.

There are two different departments for this stuff, the people who design cosmetics don't do bug fixes....

That's like saying "move the plumbing company to computer tech."
They don't work on game balancing, they work cosmetics, if they want more people to work for balancing, they'd hire some, but game balancing doesn't just get released and go through, they really spend time on this stuff.

That's not how it works, being able to make in game assets and fixing problems with in game mechanics are two different skill sets. You can't just mix and match people.

Unfortunately, it doesn't really work that way. The people who work on the cosmetics are artists, digital modellers and animators, not programmers. In order to meaningfully shift resources from one department to another, they might have to let go of a bunch of people in one and go through a whole hiring process for the other. It's not really feasible, especially if it's only a temporary move.
