Does "Giving Props" do anything?

When choosing to thumbs up a player after a match does it log the good report to be used to weigh against bad reports or is it something more? I was wondering about the system behind the "Give Props" to better understand how reports are looked at.

Currently it does not really do anything. It's tracked, but there is no benefit to being props'd. At one point they would occasionally read out who was the most props'd on stream, but that was about it. It does not influence reports in the slightest. They're investigated on an individual basis anyway, it's not a matter of 'voting' to ban someone (i.e. "this guy has more reports than props, let's ban them"). We always check for proof regardless.

I don't believe there's any plans to do anything with it just yet.

It's like a mini-endorsement system but I don't really see it having any effect on the game IMO.

Right now, it doesn't do anything. They could at least let you know when someone gave you props. Like "LordSuckMyDingle333 gave you props."

Right now it makes you feel good for 5 secs after voting that you had a decent player in your game
