Why do killers get nerfed due to complaints?

Spirit was fine. Nurse was absolutely broken, idgas about ceiling. "Nice defenses you have there. It'd be a shame if someone IGNORED THEM."
Skill ceiling does not justify breaking the game.

I buy all the characters regardless :P and I used the perk only a few times and didn't even get to use it so landed it to be never used. Then played killer and realized I hate the perk so started using feral frenzy to try and counter it. Don't think it worked. But guess what? It got nerfed pretty quick anyway.

If that were the case you'd never catch survivors if we revert all the balance changes and go back to 2016 dbd minus all the glitches. Only way you'd maybe catch them is when you brought a mori since they didn't need a hook.

They have all the data for these things. There is hardly any stat padding. They can see the DC and know its a DC. They can see you killed yourself early on hook or got left on hook. Either way the amount of people you say are stat padding isn't going to be that high. What survivor is like "I'm gonna kill myself early so this killer gets higher stats and gets nerfed." How many people do you think really do that?

Man, do you even play this game? Have you ever clicked "play as survivor"?
Insta heals are trash, Balanced was nerfed, brand new parts got nerfed 5 times, medkits were nerfed, exhaustion was nerfed, pallets were nerfed (I can keep on going).
Devs nerf what is OP, not what survivors complain or what you guys like to call "entitled players"

Spirit was very easy to learn and very effective, so I think she should be harder to learn or less effective

This happens to survivors to decisive strike too heavily nerfed and also it's because most devs don't play their game at least a lot so a lot of times stuff like when it's too hard to survive from a killer because something about them is op they won't often Nerf it until somebody complains about it

What a redundant
It's called balancing, every changes made are based on data computed, certain killers have better overall performance than others making them meta and making other killers redundant, would you be contend as a SURVIVOR going against the same killer every game? Looping= bloodlust, gen rush= no bp and depending on rank depip based on the new piping system. What matters is bp here not about winning

honestly, i wouldn't be suprised if every killer gets a re-work or nerf eventually. hell trapper, wraith & nurse already got theirs. so did legion and spirit now.

But I mean, Spirit complaints weren't rampant until recently....and she had been out for over a year with no buffs. Doesn't that say anything? Guess not.

Because when thw dude who created the game experienced his first infinite he said. Good job so far.
But when he got wrecked by a killer who actually had skill he himself cried.

So tell me people of the "devs balance for both sides" when this is true why do they nerf legion again? Why do they nerf him and buff stuff like BT? Yeah cause of 2 addons (blades) that made mending take too long give a buff to all survivors. Can't argue with that logic.
So due to this they make it so that mending will take less time then cleansing a dull totem and change feralfrenzy so that it no longer has synergy with perks such as sloppy butcher, stbfl and so on.

If you think about the changes objectively, they make sense.
In regards to Spirit, I picked her up two days tops and I nearly always won, the nerf (as a spirit main) was called for.
Just like the thanato changes that never went through.
Survivors have also had perks nerfed due to community complaints, but if you analyze the feedback it makes sense.
Exhaustion Perks, make you exhausted, you shouldn’t recover them while running.
Old DS was super annoying and had slight requirements for a major ability.
You get the idea.
