Silent Hill in DBD?
So.....most of you would want Pyramid head, but i t/hink we have touched upon that this, that he wouldn't work...but, what about two people from Silent Hill Revealtions? i mean who wouldn't wish to see Kit Harrington as a surv? or if couldn't get him sharon? and the killer? what about this?
and what about the carnival as the map?

no matter how popular or cool a killer might look like on paper... it doesnt really matter in dbd since as we know demogorgon is barely played yet he is coming from one of the most popular tv series right now.

I'm down for it, the game can still bring in lots of potential killers, why not this franchise ones?

yeah i think some licensed killers (pig, leatherface) are played much less than others; expect freddy and to a much lesser extent michael but michael has more of that horror icon factor, not necesssarly fun to play let alone strong.
If they release upcoming killers licensed or not, they should make them 1. fun to play as and vs. 2. strong enough to compete on higher ranks, and 3. a unique game play.
If they succeed in all three of them we might have a winner. The next killer seems pretty good so far but might receive some changes.

That garbage film doesn't deserve any homage or new recognition. The first 3 silent hill games would be much better for a chapter.

During the final Pyramid Head encounter in Silent Hill 2, you could tell he moved significantly faster and both PHs were able to catch up to James a lot quicker than normal. In DBD, he'd be like 110 m/s at full speed. Now that's where the great sword could come in, slower movement speed but farther reach when he swings it. I would guess there would be an aim mechanic to it. I just feel like there are ways around it.
Edit: Maybe even introduce a new slowdown effect whenever in Pyramid Head's radius. Something should work

You'd bettet stick to the games than the movies.
I bet even Walter Sullivan (4) would be better received than her.
And gameplay wise, any killer could make it. People get stuck with "slow and lethal" with ol' triangle boy. For starters, even if its lame: oni's demon strike (oneshot everyone in front of you" would thematically fit.
Heck they could give him a stance system like doctor: (punishment)115% with spear and a skill and (execution) 110% with big knife and the already mentioned overhead slash.
Or better, (from my own concepts) let him place traps that trap survivors by placing entity walls in a circular area around the trap. This would emulate the confinement with him in that small room.

sorry but lol only silent hill 1 was ever any good....the game that is, the movie concept is a great way to pluck out other killers and survs

The film and the 'killer' are two separate things. A killer from a bad movie or TV show can be redefined and reimagined to fit the game if needs be.
The more lenient you are with allowing for discussion of potential licences the more choice we have to choose from.
Let's not stamp every suggestion with the 'Impossible' label ok.
The game has no rule restricting a killer to anything.
Also if there's a secret rule that the killer must be a slasher, I ask you to recite the roster of killers and repeat the ones that you're wrong on. Anything is possible if you have the support.

It's the opinion of most Silent Hill fans. It ruined the legacy of Silent Hill 3 and should be forgotten. How is the movie concept better than the games?

Established by you. But like I said, Pyramid Head's speed can be worked around. Whether he has a slowdown ability within his terror radius or something else. You don't seem to be familiar with the Silent Hill games, but Pyramid Head has increased speed in the final fight with him in SH2. And his great sword could also be implemented with a counter. As a fan of the Silent Hill franchise, I can assure you Pyramid Head could indeed work.

it's one thing to see it in a film and the game SH but not overly so much for it to be seen in dead by daylight i just couldn't see it....that and he is 7feet tall in the films, i just feel he would be a little clumsy/bulky....is good to look at OTHERS in the series and the games because there are a few good ones....and i played silent hill a long while ago, i may indeed not be up to scratch with some things but that was a game i played years ago

@Hag.is.Dtier the films were okay, the games were okay (my opinion) the topic was more about seeing if a character from such could be made that wasn't the -main- one most want.....after nightmare on elm street they got worse, so is freddy meant to be forgotten also? same with Bubba, some of the old chainsaws were awful but some will of liked them and still should be there as killers, same as silent hill

Alot of people complained that Freddy wasn't the original, Robert Englund version. The same would happen if a horrible Silent Hill 3 adaption was in the game. Bubba is from the original Texas chainsaw massacre. If BHVR was ever to do a Silent Hill chapter and try to get Silent Hill fans to play the game then the games (1-4 especially) would be the better. I'd even accept Homecoming over anything from Revelations.

Well you gotta give homecoming and the movies some credit for PH's black headed look. Its probably more popular than his original look. (And had more polygons lol).. and Scarlett was one creepy doll.
But i think the alternative outfit would sell a lot regardless which of the two designs became default in Dbd.

Silent Hill Nurses walk, DBD Nurse floats.
Silent Hill Nurses are sexual provocative, DBD Nurse is not.
DBD Nurse can blink through objects/walls, Silent Hill Nurses can not.
Silent Hill 2 Nurses are monsters manifested by James Sunderlands psyche. Due to his anxiety over his wife's terminal illness and sexual frustration. Later games with the iconic Nurses are more of a reference to the films.
DBD Nurse is the ghost of a deranged mass murderer who fell into madness from her work at the Crotus Prenn Asylum.
As for the weapon, Silent Hill Nurses have also used Pipes, needles and Scalpels.
