I don't think i have to explain why it's very frustrating to finish this challenge and how lucky you have to get..

Been going at it for like an hour, and can't do it, and I swear half way I just don't wanna play anymore really want to DC but I don't want to depip and also because of the fact that my team is getting slaughtered woohoo so fun.....

I got 6 unhooks out of 25, how far am I?

Been trying for 5 hours now.. still haven't got it. It's just so luck based. First of all you have to make sure you get to the end game, then you have your teammates make it to the endgame too, then for them not to be death hook, then to not have them leave, if someone goes down you have to save them before the two other do and hope the killer isn't camping, once you get one save you gotta hope for someone else to go down and be able to save them.
I attempted this challenge as solo first, then 4 man SWF and that didn't make it any easier.. 5 hours of attempting and I just gave up for today.. really hope they've removed the 3 unhook from next Tome

Challenges are never supposed to be RNG base but I guess that's not how behavior looks at them

I actually unhooked two people during egc but I was doing the unhook 25 survivor challenge

Theoretically you could use a key, to trigger the egc early, open the hatch and see if the killer closes it and try to get the unhooks afterwards.

Exactly. Challenges should test my skills at the game or at least something you can do through multiple trials (Like the unhook one). This one is just testing my luck. There are so many things that need to align for it to be possible. It's not skill based at all and it isn't grindy either, it's just RNG and it frustrates me. I almost got it but then some rando unhooked before I did and I just lost it. That was like 4 hours in and the closest I got. Then played another hour and then just quit playing.. I'm sure this is not the effect the dev intended for the challenges to have.

Except you immediately jump in the hatch when you use a key to open it.

yeah I forgot it auto jumps it. I usually don't use keys tbh I think the devs should've removed or reworked them. It's stupid how they designed this archive, they put easier challenges way deeper and have an rng impossible one right at the beginning.

i've tried this so many times now. any random thing can ruin it xd i even got into a match where the killer would have farmed with me and a random because 2 dc'd but he didn't get what i meant so i couldn't do it... this is so hard

Good luck, you need to get 2 unhooks because the recent hotfix somehow reverted it to the original version, the challenge in the tome says to unhook 1, but in-game it needs 2 again.

Took me 20+ games. They should think a little about there solo survivors when creating these challenges. I mean it took me a week to plunder 3 chests in the same trial, because there is a 3 man swf bodyblocking them for their friend lol

I also noticed the Last Minute Hero challenge blocks the track for survivor only players, it should be moved to a spur that would let you go back and do it once you had done everything else. As it is it is right there blocking any other challenges. Did the devs consider players that dont play survivor or dont play killer when setting up the tracks to complete the tome? Two either side challenges in Tome 2 cannot be done unless you also play killer

One of the easier challenges, to be honest. Just run BT and you're guaranteed a safe unhook.

Im pretty sure the devs thought pattern was to have players playing BOTH sides rather than being stubborn and ignoring half the challenges. Personally, I play killer like 95% of the time, but had some fun doing the survivor challenges.

Thats a noble idea, but a gray rank 20 killer with one perk has a steep enough learning curve as and when they ever get a match at that rank, My friend who plays this game just finished her last master challenge, and rift tier 70, and hit rank 8 on survivor (from 13 after reset last month) and rank 6 on her killer (from rank 16 after reset last month), so yea sure if a player is good enough to play both factions well the tome challenges are all doable.
Myself I been stuck at rank 16 all this season.
