Ok one more thing about noed
*i played Ghostface with only noed 1, took everything else off, and I killed everyone*
survivor in endgame chat: “people who play with noed don’t know how to play”
my response: “people who don’t cleanse the totems don’t know how to play”
bro. If the killer isn’t applying a lot of map pressure, while there’s also nothing I’m using to slow down progress, and than you don’t do the totems... bro that’s your own fault.
the guy further told me that he didn’t see any totems and was the one doing gens, blah blah blah, than called me an idiot. Like dude...? Really? It’s your own fault buddy. How many times does this happen a day? Devs do you those have stats???
Pro tip: if you don’t see totems... look for them

Cleansing totems take up a lot of time in your average game. Not only that but you lose a lot of objective points because your teammates will be doing most the gens.

It doesn’t take long to do totems. You get a 1k bp for each totem you cleanse. If it’s a hex than you get 1.5k Bp. Your points will make up for themselves if you don’t do a bunch of gens. In average match, yes, there is time to cleanse. If you are afraid you won’t have time to do gens instead of cleansing that is a choice that you have to make.
cleanse before gens
if it glows it goes

It does take a lot of time, each totem is 16 seconds + the amount of time you spend running around the map looking for the totems. Also boldness isn't really that dire to get because most interactions with the killer give boldness. I meant objective which isn't as easy as looping the killer.

Yea let me just tell my solo queue teammates to cleanse totems real quick.

Do them yourself. If it causes partial loss on your team, find hatch. Guess what!? If you took the totems out, the killer can’t use noed against you in the EGC when it’s a hatch hunt

Lol don't worry survivors don't do gens, you won't be running out of objective points. Totem easily gives you 1k points, if you're not cleansing, you're playing the game wrong

5 totems = 80 seconds = 1 gen
5 totems = 5,000 points (5,500 with a hex perk)
1 gen = >2,500 points
Cleansing totems is definitely worth it imo. Doesn't take that much time and gives plenty of points. If survivors die to noed it's their own fault, end of story.

honestly, all these excuses of "but cleansing totems takes too much time!" are stupid.
ive just recently had a game i got rid of 4 totems before a gen was done / the killer had hit anyone.
the only time where i can understand this argumentation would be on maps with very good totem spawns / new maps with unknown totem spawns, such as the new Badham Preschool maps or Hawkins Laboratory.
but even then, totems are supposed to slow the game down. if all 4 would look for them actively, there wouldnt be any NOED to worry about and the time it would take to get rif of them would also not be very significant.

“But cleansing totems take too much time” - survivor that uses selfcare
selfcare takes 16 seconds to complete (no healing buffs applied) and it takes 16 seconds to cleanse a totem. I see people heal 5 times a game with self care. You can’t break a totem 5 times a game cause it takes too long??? That’s my response to those people. I agree it’s a dumb excuse for being a sore loser.

People are crybabies, man. Don’t let em tell you how to play.

Typically I cleanse 1 to 3 totems per game. Always cleanse, never NOED.

Am I the only Noed should be a permanent mechanic? Because I like how Killer gets mad and go full power in late game, of course it should goes with:
- Noed should not have speed boost
- DS is also a permanent mechanic AFTER EACH HOOK.
- More reward for Survivors if they escape the game than just 5000BP, makes them more selfish in end game.

When you self-care, you don't have to spend any time combing the map, looking for the totem, you just find a corner and press M1.
And unless you're in voice comms with all of the other survivors, you won't even know if all the totems have been cleansed unless you happen upon all five of them over the course of the match. And if you miss even one of the totems, NOED still comes into play.

If you don't cleanse totems then you know the risk you take, but don't blame the game if you aren't willing to do mechanics too counter.

You don't always have the luxury of taking the time to find and cleanse all the totems, you know. The longer you wait to finish the gens, the more time you give the killer to find you and hook you.

Noed is 100% counterable. The best way to counter NOED without wasting too much time is by simply knowing who the killer is and how they play. If they are playing a weak killer, then they could have noed. If they are playing a bottom-tier, goober killer, they definitely have noed. If they appear to be new to the game, there's a good chance they're running noed.
However, if they are playing a high tier to mid tier killer and are playing very well, theres a good chance they won't be running noed as they would want to capitalize on their character or personal skill. This works great even as a solo survivor, but of course there are outliers. You can, of course, just bolt out those exit gates if you have the chance. If you want to go for saves though, make sure to cleanse before they are powered.

Run Small game, or the new Detectives Hunch. They give you all the info you need too find totems.

Ah, the classic BHVR solution: run a perk to fix an aspect of the game that annoys you, instead of actually addressing the problem.

But there isn't a problem though, if you don't take the time too cleanse then you know the risk. I forget too cleanse a few times and sometimes I'm punished for it by noed. It sucks but that's how the game workk, it's a cause and effect.
