No, but it will most likely be ported over to PS5

Pretty sure PS5 is gonna be backwards compatible so I don't see what the problem is

    Mid-chapter update:

We've noticed that killers overall are too strong, leading to overperformance. From here on, the first time the killer is stunned in any trial, the killer will die.

We've also buffed survivor repair speed by 400%. This change should help increase survivors escapes throughout all ranks.

There might be an updated version for next-gen consoles, but the better question is if you could own that better version and keep your progress/purchases from the previous one.

i know its backward compatible but that still dont make it a ps5 game, i was just wondering if they are going to upgrade it to ps5 or bring out a new game for ps5 as ive noticed a lot of developers seem to be abandoning there PVP games now that the new console is on the horizon

also worried they might run out of ideas for killers, so a revamp maybe the only real solution over just moving the game over to ps5

Considering that they're talking crossplay and the massive amount of crap and mass quittings they'd get by not letting you swap your ps4 progress to the ps5 version, I'm sure they will

Problem with cross platforming we all know what microsoft will probs do, ditch there console for there new one as they do all the time, example xbox360 comes out the xbox stops trade and game production instantly xbox one comes out 1 year later they stop hardware for the 360, come next year xbox one owners BEWARE

    Hope not.

Also: Probably not, since they said they'd like this to go on for at least another 5 years.

Even though next gen might be backwards compatible I could see them making a use out of the better hardware perfomance and port it over. On the other hand I doubt that they want people to start over again and might want to try to implement at least cross-process.

Hopefully they will do a 'World of Tanks' - another massively grindy game.

You could port all your progress when it went from Xbox 360 to Xbox 1 and carry on as before just with better graphics.

Will be same as always i hope.

Since ps5 will be backward compatible and cross play/progression are seemingly on bhvr's minds at the moment it may be as easy as downloading the app on the next consoles.

The devs have a long term plan for sure but i doubt its a sequel unless they Overwatch 2/Fortnight Chapter 2 it.

Maybe we'll finally get a secondary game mode? I am not sure what they could do,I know the 2 killers/8 survivors idea is a fan favorite. Maybe even a chase mode for all the people out there who just want to run from the killer all game.
