We’ve heard you loud and clear
enjoy completing every single challenge in 1 day and having nothing to do for the remaining week , GG everyone moaning about the changes are just bad at the game
it’s that simple
I look forward to hearing your arguments on why you can’t complete them in 60 days ....
theirs very few challenges that require the mode to be luck based ( EGT 2 hooks )
you do NOT and I repeat DO NOT need to complete 1 challenge per match
If you wherent bad you wouldn’t complain
i am eagerly awaiting the salt !

The only reason I am doing the challenges is to get some blue icicles to unlock the tat from the rift.
If that can be made easier then I approve!

There's many challenges that require luck. Now, I understand most of them are doable and you don't need to complete them as quick as possible by ruining gameplay but some other people do not register that. A challenge is meant to be challenging and all but not at the cost of relying on luck, unhealthy gameplay, and farming matches. Etc.
Most people complaining don't care about needing to complete these in one match. There's so many other reasons...

Read the various other threads that has already been posted, I don't need to repeat myself.

I played 6 hours since tome 3 was released and have 1 and a half challenges done.
I don't throw a match just because I need unhooks. I play normally and it takes time to complete the 25 unhook challenge in normal gameplay.
However, I would never complain about those kind of challenges, but about those who are entirely luck based and completely out of our hands. Because these aren't challenges. These are lucky circumstances.
My excuse why it is hard to finish the tomes in time? A full time job, to earn money which also goes into new DLCs and stuff to finance and support the game.

This is why. As someone who complained about the latest Rift "hook 2 people in the basement at the same time", "kill 2 people with NOED", "unhook 2 people during EGC in one match", and "trap 5 people in 1 match" aren't "fun" or "challenging." They're annoying and time consuming and force you to either farm or play like an ######### to get them.
In particular the NOED challenge and basement challenge really aren't difficult. It's easy as ######### to cheese this crap: just play Wraith or Insidious Leatherface, get your hook in the area you need it, and then face camp. Enjoy the Rift and the free depip.
I also really hope Behaviour learnt from making every single Survivor have a "hook farm each-other" challenge as their only available Rift challenge.

Quite the opposite. I love the challenges.
I just don't love to rely on luck or others.

There's something BHVR could do to possibly please both sides. Some like to be challenged. But some have lives, some don't wanna rely on luck. And others just wanna do the Tomes without BHVR expecting everyone to be pro at the game (aka casual play)

Thank you for the kind words. You are indeed correct. I do look forward to completing the reworked challenges in a manageable time frame. Thank you for your concern :)

The problem aren't that they are a challenging or require multiple games.
The problem is that some are pure luck based, like get 2 unhooks in EGC. And others promote a gamestyle where people straight up throw and ruin matches to get them done, examples; drop 15 pallets while in chase, get 25 unhooks etc.

I would argue the tome removes challenge because now you have players who are potentially playing sub-optimally to do them.

Some people (including myself) just like to do challenges as soon as they can. Doesn't mean I'll play for 8 hours straight every day to do them quick but I still like to play for 2/3 hours a day and at least feel I got a few challenges done.
One problem with the archive was that it was meant to be completable by casual players which the archive isn't.
My personal gripe with the challenges is that I'll have to 13 sacrifices which means I'll need to get 4k in 3 games then play 1 more for that last one which is annoying. Same with the unhooking one which requires me to get 25 safe unhooks. Max I can get in a game is 6 so after 4 games I'll be on 24. Just a bit annoying that'll I'll have to do one more game for that last one.
Other than that the glitched challenges (iridescent axe) are really annoying especially when I don't want to collect certain rewards.

I worked hard doing these challenges while also trying to play in a way that benefited my team so far the only ones that i have gone out of the way to complete would be these challenges
- escape with spine chill without being hooked (Stealth and no risk game play, boring and stressful as hell)
- Both the basement challenges (billy with IG, agitation, and whatever that huntress perk is that alerts you to survivors going into my basement)
- save 25 survivors (i did use a heal build to at least help the unhooked)
- grab 6 survivors (hag and spirit ftw)
- both of the EGC bs challenges (Totally didn't farm for them no no not me)
I like some of the challenges we have to do like use Hope and escape or get a FL save but others like hook 15 survivors in the basement is just really annoying. If you don't have a fully leveled killer or survivor with all perks its pretty hard to do some of these challenges especially the ones we saw in the forth level of the archives. Hopefully the devs do change them because a lot of those challenges are unlikely to be completed in a normal game.

Anyone that claims they got all the tier 3 challenges done in a day I'll call BS on. Too many of the challenges are pure grind. It takes a min of 10 games to get 10 escapes. Kill 7 obsessions requires 7 games min. The iridescent challenge is bugged so that will take around 10 games. That's close to 30 games for 3 challenges and that requires near perfection. Reality is it will take most mortals more than 30 games just for those 3.

i've played in so matches that were just scrwed because survivors and or killer were going for a certain challenge.
I've said this from the beginning that it woulrd ruin the normal gameplay because some people are obsessesd with them to get them done and if not then screw all the others. killers farming or going hardcore for that challenge: "seen it". and i'm not exaggerating either.
but hey everyone wanted dedicated servers too right?
it's a hot mess i can tell you that.

I don't think anyone is complaining about how all the challenges are hard and need too be easy mode, people are complaining that the challenges are not skill based, and it's pure RNG and luck for some challenges.

LOL. I still have friends doing the tier 2 archive as they don't have as much play time as I do. I refuse to get in their way. So I often pass up save opportunities so they can get them. At the rate I am going ot may take me 30 games to get the 25 saves I need. 😏

if that means not having to throw the game and teammates for these "challenges" im good.

I'm good with that.

I'm fine with the changes even though I think they win the wrong way with tackling most of them.
People have a problem with the challenges that were luck based ( two save during endgame collapse) not the challenges that required you to grind couple of matches ( 25 unhooks)
While I'm happy with the fact that they reduce the numbers I do wish they realise that it's the luck based or very situational challenges that people have a problem with not ones that are going to be through multiple matches

So your telling me unhook 2 Survivor's in one Endgame collapse is not 'luck based' and 'almost an impossible situation'. Its rare someone goes down in the Endgame collapse but 2 that's even more rare. It barely takes any skill to get someone off a hook the fact that you need to do it in the Endgame with Face camping, tunneling, boosted killers is to hard to do.
And can we just point out that Killer challenge are way more easier then Survivor challenges, not being hooked for one game with spine chill is difficult saying that's easy then your just straight up ######### lying.
Break 40 pallets or damage generators, that take literally no skill so all Killer mains saying this is easy that's cause your challenges are to easy the survivor challenges is where it gets pushed to far.

Ill admit to using Insidious Bubba to get that basement one... Didnt strait up facecamp cuz...comms are a thing, but waited nearby til I heard the footsteps on the wood. The ease of that 4k with 3 gens remaining kinda made me lose a little faith in survivors. After I had the challenge done, I was like COME ON GUYS!!! RESCUE THESE FOOLS AND ILL PLAY NORMAL!!!

Can't be a serious question lol
Yeah , why would he want to play the game normally....xD

Yup because you either get survivors hard focused on saves or you get killers who do nothing but try and coax you into bear traps.
I want my normal games back!

I think it's funny that this whole conversation is devoted to complaining about people complaining about the ridiculousness of the challenges. Like I have nothing better to do then read this drivel. (Editors note: he doesn't until the next match queues up)

Rather than having no life and DBD 24/24

What's stopping you from doing that right now?
Which ones, exactly, are RNG and luck based?

Stuff like safely unhooking two survivors during end game is not a challenge. Its a totally situational thing. You're actually relying on your team to get themselves caught twice after the exit gates are open, and you have to be the one who safely saves them both times.
There's no skill involved here. This is just blind stupid situational luck. It could take weeks to do.
