Can we remove aim assist (swing assist?) on ps4 please.
Im tired of swinging at a survivor and the game forcefully drags my swing either to the left or the right. You might think it helps but it really doesnt and is pretty annoying when it happens multiple times. Like the word assist seems wrong it doesnt seem helpful like at all.

Like im sure there may be moments when it helps but seriously id be fine without it.

Unless it's even worse on console, no. It's just their bad and awkward form of hit detection that likes to fail (especially w/ dedicated servers).

Or as a survivor swinging out of the cone detection range, but auto aim says "nah bro I got you"
You can deactivate it.

It’s way worse on console if you’re trying to swing while a survivor is trying to nuke (360, 180) auto aim will break your neck and you end up hitting air

Can't find anything of the sort, you might be remembering wrong.
Pretty sure the issue is just with how the game detects hits in general, so it would be impossible to turn it off with any options.

I might be honestly. I checked my phone and saw the V synch, but I cant find any for auto aim. I'll look into it later just in case.

i mean other games give us the option to do it because the whole point is its supposed to assist and sometimes it works more against then for you.

Auto aim on PC has messed me up with Legion FF attacks SO MUCH. Please at least make it a toggle.

On PS4 I have the auto aim pull my camera, whiff and bounce off; it’s quite frustrating to miss someone right in front of you that you’re literally touching.

There's a super common Survivor tech you can do on PS4, where if you wiggle back and forth (not a 360 or 180, literally just going side to side as you move forward) while running and the Killer attempts a lunge attack they'll get pulled backwards so that they don't actually move forward.
It'll look and feel like a basic attack, despite the Killer having initiated a lunge.
If that's not auto aim freaking out, I'd like to know what it is.

Last night it freaked out when the survivor went to do a 360 my entire body like spun back and forth the survivor wasnt even infront of me when it happened. I just think we should be allowed to disable it as a thing in controls because some people might find it helpful but i for one don't.

Yeah it happened again the survivor was moving back and forth and it kept force dragging me such a great feature.

It actually hinders console killers, reason being is when a survivor does a 360 in ypur face you you predict the movement correct the auto aim makes your swing move to the opposite side and thus you get whats called a "phantom swing" which makes it look like the survivor actually 360 you but in was the auto aim that cucked you.

Yeah this happens to me on PS4, survivors have learned to abuse it it's quite annoying, seems to me they run at me and away and it Jack's it up

I can completely relate man, I sure do love it when the attack that is INCREDIBLY PUNISHING TO MISS auto aims onto air and cuts your lunge short behind a survivor. Very fun when that happens.
But again, this is a fault with the base mechanic of how the game detects and grants hits. The devs have been asked about this specific topic to which they always say 'actually it's not autoaim, it's our hit detection cone' like ok.

Yes please change how your hit detection works, I'm tired of aiming dead center for the survivor and then hitting a pallet, or window sill, or tree. Something has to be done.

Agreed. I love swining at a survivor who's half way behind a wall so auto aim makes me hit the wall.
It won't ever be removed because the devs say there is no auto aim, even though it's clearly there.
