What are some big things you've noticed changed with Dedicated Servers?
So this isn't old news. In fact this isn't something only one person is experiencing. I am just curious to know and also as a way of gathering some feedback... what are some of the biggest Dedicated Servers issues you have personally experienced since they began being 'tested'.
For me, the following have undoubtedly impacted/hindered my gameplay:
Dead Hard: You are not only hit mid-animation, but the game still registers the effect and you end up on the floor with exhaustion while also the words Dead Hard being displayed on the left side of the screen.
Grabs: You can literally let go when you are attempting to unhook someone, and still get grabbed. By this, I mean my character already shows a 'normal' standing animation (without the bar), before I get grabbed.
Killer's Weapons: There are certain times during a match (not the entire match) where their weapon doesn't connect. This one happens on both sides a lot. As a killer I know for a fact I was swinging at dead air, and the hit looked delayed...or the opposite I'll be humping the survivor and still miss.... so I proceed to ask the survivor what they experienced, and they confirm the hit didn't connect.
As a survivor, it is also very frustrating because many things go through your mind "How big is my hitbox??" "Lag switch maybe?" "Is my internet connection bad?" "Why did I get hit that time, but the rest of the times were normal" Etc. etc.
Understandably, many if not most of the issues have to do with latency (Ms). So my question is, what can the devs do to prevent these issues? Or is Latency even the issue in many cases?
I don't know, but what I do know is that it is frustrating when it happens because the game has a way of making you feel like you've made progress in a match, only to be met with Dedicated Server issues that sort of hinder your progress and you are left feeling like it was an unfair inconvenience.

I mean to me you've nailed the most obnoxious ones. False grabs, false hits, nonsense killer hits, and I don't use Dead Hard but I certainly believe you about that one too.
I mainly play killer, and I came back to the game recently when the Rift was added after not playing for a few months, and boi do dedicated servers lead to a LOT more false hits due to autoaim where it just cuts your lunge short because it thinks you hit. It's very annoying.
Also there are killer-specific bugs from dedicated servers too, such as:
- Trapper stepping in the trap that he just set if he steps forward
- Myers' stalk regressing
- Wraith getting stunned in cloak, getting the stun but not actually uncloaking
- And Huntress hatchets in general just being pretty bad, I feel like it's way more common for a hatchet to hit that looks like it missed
I really hope a ton of this is stuff that can be ironed out.

I've had the inverse problem with grabs: I as killer clearly begin the grab animation, only for the grab to just be cancelled and not even count as a hit instead.

As a Myers main, I've noticed the bar regressing slightly as well. I didn't think this could be related to Dedicated Serves, but maybe just a bug in general. Definitely noticed it though.
The rest I feel like I've noticed as well, especially the Huntress' hatchets.

This has been happening to me when I play Pig. She looks like she grabbed someone for 1-2 seconds and proceed to hit instead. This one is recent too.

I've had it happening ocassionally for a while, but it seems to have gotten much worse (for me, at least) with the Dedicated Servers.

Survivors teleporting sometimes.
Not really any big problems for me though.

That's right, I forgot about this one. Last time I played DBD, I had a few instances of someone just zipping a few feet in a random direction because of latency or something.

Same. From totems, hooks and anywhere you can nab someone.

The worst i've had is having to keep uncloaking for another +3 seconds with a Claudette standing in front of me.
When i was done uncloaking, there were only Scratchmarks left that disappeared after 1 second.
Had 2 of such trials.
Not hair-pulling bad, i'm pretty tolerant, but i wouldn't like playing anymore after an hour or 2.

1) Dead Hard is Dead
2) Hitboxes are big as 3 survivors together. Especially huntress hitboxes are way bigger than before. Literally Disgusting.

The grabbing is even worse now? Awesome. It was already bad.

I am on PC and I’ve experienced it sporadically... seems like it’s affected anything latency dependent.

Yeah hitboxes do seem a bit whack at times. Though they work good most of the times in my experience, there are those rare hits that seem quite weird.

And of course connection is a big part. But after the Hitbox changes 2017/2018?(I dont know anymore) they were broken and literally gettin worse.
At the moment?
Its not even funny anymore and im close to uninstall. I can make an 1hr montage of broken hitboxes in just a day..
Even if they throw more Costemics at me im done.
Bro Dead Hard is something i dont wanna talk about...
After the Patch i dont know what to use.
BL nerfed, had only usage cos of stagger reduction.

The hitboxes and delay are way worse than in a 200ms ping killer lobby.
I have constantly 30-40ms ping to dedicated servers, but get hit after vaulting pallets, through closed walls and by hatchets flying through walls or clearly missed me. It wasn't that bad before, but now I know I will get hit through windows if I can't make at least 4 or 5 steps away from them after vaulting.
My most favourite moment was on haddonfelt, where I jumped from a window on second floor, hit the ground, balanced landing activates and then I got hit by the clown, who was still standing at that window on second floor.
Never experienced something like that ever before.

As killer grabs. As survivor literally everything. I get hit by things that shouldn't hit me, my exhaustion perks don't work and so on.

Vaulting a window and being teleported back to the window I tried to vault through, but also my Lithe got used somehow ....

A few times just as the EGC is starting, I am told I have "disconnected from host", but then end up back in the lobby with the toolkit I just looted.
Annoying as one of them was as I was escaping with Spine Chill...
