Oblivious Rooms in DbD

Would it at all be interesting if you become oblivious in certain rooms in Dead by Daylight? Such as the basement. While inside, you either won't hear the killer's Terror Radius or it is reduced. (With a 32m TR you wouldn't hear it until the killer was within 16m.) A different use would be a map with a big building that wouldn't let you hear the TR unless the killer was in the building with you or possibly just a huge room that had that effect. This would give a unique take on certain maps and make certain places of the map far more dangerous than others. Ambient noises in certain maps could make you hear a faint TR or hit you with a jump scare near by to make you hear a heartbeat for a few seconds. I just think maps need to feel more than just another arrangement of the same things.

And then adding Offerings to increase/decrease the amount of these locations on maps. 😮

Sounds like a change that enables camping.

    No.

How exactly does it enable camping?

What would the killer be camping? The room itself? They wouldnt be exerting any pressure anywhere else.

The killer wouldn't hide his TR in the basement, but it would make survivors consider how close the killer is before making a save as they won't hear the killer coming. Stealth killers can already hide their TR anywhere. This gives a bit more viability to all killers on different maps in a sense of stealth. The other thought is to dull the sound of the TR so they still hear the heartbeat, but at a reduced distance. There are certain areas of maps that give survivors an advantage or killer an advantage already. In other words, if you don't want to go into the basement or these specific rooms, stay away from them.

Nice idea. That will make less secure doing gens and looping in very strong buildings (infinites/semi).

It is a cool idea but there has to be something for the survivors too - like killer cant see auras inside or can't hear injured survivors or gen repearing. You can't just add things for killers like that

Or do the opposite. Have rooms with a constant faint Terror Radius. This would be a soft buff to Terror Radius perks, as Survivors in this room would be under the constant effect of these perks, if the Killer runs any of them. For example, a Survivor in one of these rooms would scream when the Killer downs someone with Infectious Fright. Or, if the Killer Overcharges a generator in one of these rooms while having Unnerving Presence, the impossible skill check would be unavoidable. For the Survivors, Borrowed Time would always proc in these rooms. Therefore, the Killer would want to avoid hooking people in these rooms. It would be a trade off. Be constantly affected by Terror Radius perks, but also be able to proc things like Borrowed Time, Stake Out, Diversion, etc.

I'm cool with something like this being on certain signature rooms on maps as a feature (like, say, the Isolation room in Hawkins lab) but nah, not the basement, it's already a dangerous place to save from and risks killers softcamping it... if you can't even hear the killer coming it makes it that much more common.

Oblivious and Undetectable should be used as little as possible in my opinion. Perks that rely on terror radius get more and more useless the more those status effects are used. They're already borderline overused since they added Oblivious to Freddy.
