Reason of DC at the end of the game?
Since the new Chapter with the new DC punishment is close, I never met that much dcs than these days... I mean okey let them dc and rage. I can somehow understand ragequits at the start of the game, you can jump into the next game fast. But why should someone DC right at the end of the game when I am as survivor at the edge of the gate, I mean the killer has to wait a few sec and then he would be out of the game and could que for the next one. Ive seen alot of killers that try to camp and facecamp plus tunnel and if the guy they try to kill still manage to escape they dc at right before we all can escape.
Again, I dont mind and dont care about that but I want to try to understand what the reasons behind this "DC before survivors can escape" is, what do you guys think and did you had simular experiences?

For survivors that dc late game : they are very salty and you did something that they didn't like (i.e outplay them , survivor made a bad play, you play x killer with y perk or dc to let their friend get hatch)
For killers that dc late game : same thing, they thought they are gonna kill someone, ######### it up and then dc (i.e basement camp ,tunneling , normal camping)

Been getting kicked out of the game quite a bit recently.. so its not always rage quitting.

I think some people think it'll deny the survivors the 5000 escape BP, and while I'm not entirely sure I think certain methods (force-closing the game) have or still do exactly that on consoles or something? In that situation it's just petty baby behavior like a survivor disconnecting to cuck a killer out of a BBQ stack.
Sometimes I see people play normally and then DC at the end and I guess they're "good guy" deranking. It's still lame, but if someone absolutely has to do that stuff I'd much rather they actually play out matches normally and then disconnect as opposed to just loading in and DCing/suiciding/afking in a corner as wraith.

Me and my friend always DC when killer is toxic, for example tunneling, so they can enjoy derank for 10-15minute wait

Basically, it's little crybabies like this on both side who can't handle losing so they take a last ditch effort to annoy the opponent because in their mind, that's some form of victory.
The reason it's suddenly more popular is the same reason Prayer Beads Spirit builds are after the announced nerf. People are abusing things as much as they can before they get patched.

Well the killer leggit facecamps and tunnels straight up the entire time his obsession for his challange I guess or maybe because hes mad on that guy and when we save him with borrow and bodyblock the killer he dcs when we almost reached the gate. And that didnt happen only once, I saw yesterday 5 or more dcs like that.

And so you can enjoy deranking even more than they do, losing your items, offerings and bloodpoints and risking a ban?

Console here - instant lobbies as killer. You aren't punishing the killer, you're being lame, and punishing yourself.

BHVR needs to fix their game first. I'm constantly being kicked from the game on PS4 when I'm mid game or when I get back to endgame screen at the end as survivor. I'd get message disconnected from the host, it would show that I dc not the killer and then sit through an infinite loading screen, forcing me to restart the game.

You think I care about rank in dbd ? Pathetic.... Why should I care about a rank in a game , that doesn't reward you for it
I play on pc(Europe) and it takes roughly 10 to 15 minutes to find a game as killer🙃 obviously less in the night....
