What was the point of nerfing Legion and Deep Wounds?

So during the PTB, Legion got these changes:

  • Mend times for Deep Wound reduced: 12 seconds while mending yourself, 8 seconds while being mended by someone else.
  • Attacking while in Feral Frenzy will no longer be a basic attack. This means that perks that trigger with a basic attack will no longer trigger under this circumstance.

While extremely annoying as some of Legion's best perks, Sloppy Butcher and Save The Best For Last were tied to basic attacks, it made sense why they would tone down their kit when they would be getting Nemesis, an honestly strong af perk.

However, the new chapter comes out and we Legion mains get greeted by this in the patch notes:

  • Deep Wound: Deep Wound timer will no longer go down when Sprinting or Mending. Deep Wound is no longer connected with the Killers terror radius.

Meaning it doesn't matter if you're undetectable or the survivor is oblivious, their timer isn't ticking down. If this is the case, what's even the point of nerfing Legion then? Why are mend times still decreased if the timer won't tick down while sprinting or mending, why did Legion lose their basic attacks on Feral Frenzy when they weren't a strong killer to begin with? It legitimately makes zero sense to keep the nerfs to Legion when what seemingly was the reason for the nerfs is no longer a factor.

Why are the devs so afraid to give even a sliver of strength to Legion, the "buffs" are a good QoL but they don't fix the actual issue because how trash Feral Frenzy is as an ability.

  • Increased Feral Frenzy speed from 5 m/s to 5.2 m/s.
  • Decreased Feral Frenzy window vault duration from 1.1 seconds to 0.9 seconds.
  • Decreased Feral Frenzy pallet vault duration from 1.35 seconds to 0.9 seconds.

Can you guys please actually buff the aspects of Legion that actually matter or just rework the character already? I'm glad the devs didn't buff Legion in the worst way possible by forcing players to use a perk from a DLC, but this is getting ridiculous now. I'd rather have Nemesis be what makes Legion relevant than literally taking perks away from them and buffing a trash ability that isn't relevant in red ranks
