Am I Just Supposed To Wait 4 Months Now?
Everyone already knows that Oni's Adept is probably the most difficult due to his lack of any good perks.
Everyone already knows that Oni is an M1 killer on Console due to the devs not letting us change sensitivity; as well as the fact that his power causes major frame drops.
Tell me what I'm supposed to do.
I'm at purple/red ranks on killer, on PS4 and I want to get Adept Oni. With his useless perks and useless power on this platform, what am I supposed to do? Just keep playing matches as an M1 killer with no slowdown(ruin, corrupt, pop) or quick tracking perks(bbq, bitter murmur, all ears)?
The only real option I see right now is to wait literally 4 months for my rank to go down (thanks to the rank reset changes that no one asked for).
Only other thing is to just take the DC penalty up my rear just to de-rank. But I don't want to ruin other people's matches. I know how long console survivor que times are.

I actually got it first try. Don't really mean to brag but I actually found it really easy to get on rank 1. Maybe I just got lucky

Just injure a couple of people and start snowballing with his Demon Dash. He is not a very hard killer to play

Can't snowball with Demon Dash unless the survivors all walk in a straight line. No sensitivity means I can barely curve the dash hit 30 degrees. Any missed attacks drop frames to like 5fps.

The BHVR team does not support any type of configuration changes in the menus on any platform.. There are still no display options on the PC after almost 4 years. There is no reason to think that will ever change. I'm guessing ALL of the BHVR team went day drinking rather than attend the "Menus 101" class for the Unreal Engine training course.
Outside of that, like most of the "we didnt want to let users change that since it's tied into our core game mechanics in fantasyland" missing menu/user options, you can sort it out, outside of the game.
Install the Xbox accessory app and create a profile with the sens. you want for DBD.

I would do that... But I'm on PS4.
I have every version of the game except mobile because I want to support it and hope it gets better. I mainly play on PS4 though because that's where most of my friends are. That hope of mine is on it's last leg...

Did you tunnel or did the bottom two kill themselves/play super immersed? I'm not hating, people are free to play how they wanna play, but the point distribution there is super wack.
There's no way that was a normal game; you don't have two Survivors breaking 20k and two Survivors getting 5k or under without something unusual going on.

Stop asking for higher sensitivity. The sensitivity is fine.
What you should be asking for is aim acceleration. That makes a bigger difference than sensitivity. If you had both max I bet you would be able to 180 in an instant.

Exactly. I raised my aim acceleration when I used to play apex and my accuracy increased dramatically. Dbd needs this as well.

Or do what I did for 7 hours on stream today and just lose.....straight lose. Went from rank 2 down to 5. More work to go before I get the adept but I feel your pain. My guess is I'll be rank 10 by the time I m1 the trophy. However I'll say this the more I play the better I get at using his power. I'm sorry your frustrated but just lose and you'll get the trophy eventually . Devotion 9 - boomer - big dbd fan

Or people want sensitivity; because Max Sensitivity on PS4 Is slow as Dicc
Especially when you're getting 360'd in a 15 FPS map

The best thing you could do at this point is play it as much as possible. Due to him being a new killer, people wont know the best counters to him yet. Unfortunately, you're just going to have to get lucky. Playing before people know exactly how to counter him will just increase your chances.
Just giving my advice, you are still pretty boned being on console and all. I totally sympathize, I first started playing on ps4 so I understand your suffering.The developers absolutely need to give console players more options as playing killer on there is torture. If you are still going for adept, I wish you the best of luck!

The strategy seems to be use Demon Dash to apply pressure but don't use the one hit down, just tap M1 to do a basic hit. This also restores 40 charges or Blood Fury, meaning you can go around the map with Blood Fury constantly.

Not the best option but, you do know we console players aren't getting the disconnecting penalty, right? (xbox and PS4) because we don't have dedicated servers yet. But yeah just disconnecting over and over is not a good solution.

I had problems with adepts til I changed strategy. I find tunneling one survivor into the ground early on allows you to play with the remainng three and farm them for chaser/malicious points.

100 Sensitivity is plenty to turn on a dime.
What you should be asking for is aim acceleration because THAT will make it faster without requiring a full input. You get up to the 100 turn speed sooner. If they just up the sensitivity you will still have a slower startup to turning. That means it will be still be harder to react to a 360 especially with poor FPS. But with higher aim acceleration you can react faster. It'd also mean that you could turn down the sensitivity for characters like Huntress or Nurse that require better aim, but still get the benefit of having a high sensitivity via aim acceleration.

People have been asking for changes to rank reset for ages. I started playing a few months ago and I wanted it changed after the 2nd time it happened, because a red rank player (me) has a very hard time getting back to red ranks when all I get are potato grey rank players. It would feel like I was the only person who got reset tbh..
Oni isn't too difficult to play, it just requires practice. You likely won't get the adept achievement in your first round. Practice with him. You can also cancel the demon dash if you want to turn sharply and charge the attack a little so it gets the instadown. You don't need to rely on the turning to get downs.
I don't play on console so I can't know about the sensitivity issues, but it can't be that awful that you act like the game is unplayable. Oni's perks are okay, and if you are a little skilled you shouldnt need a slowdown perk to get the adept. He can snowball really well.
The best thing you can do is get the first hit, and the rest will come to you.

Theres also the basement glitch, and Cannot struggle when the killer picks me up!

They should just switch the condistions from "merciless" to "ruthless", then it would be possible even with the broken emblem system.

Yeah, it really sucks. On some maps, he is alright when the frames are good and the Survivors aren't good.
Most of the time, he is awful.

Honestly I just got the adept on PS4 and I have not run into the issues you are except just getting gen rushed.... I can control The Oni just fine.
