Event Cosmetics
I don't agree with the people that say that they only deserve to have their event cosmetics that they earned and others hadn't been playing Dead By Daylight yet I feel that those people sound entitled and that is completely wrong because it sounds like they just want to keep their event cosmetics to themselves I got the Kate Denson Barbeque shirt and the Hillbilly Propane Hammer and I am not entitled nor do I care if people get the event cosmetics that I got so people that are saying "people don't deserve my Donkey Jacket or other event cosmetics" are being entitled and they think that they can get everything they want while others can just not get them and that is entirely immature I feel that the dev's should look at how many people got the event cosmetics and how many didn't and look out for those that didn't not just look out for those who did get the event cosmetics that are being entitled trying to keep something to themselves because they either can't accept other people getting something they got or see something as a memento to them and only want those cosmetics for themselves everyone deserves to have an opinion and everyone does and will have an opinion but everything should be equally available to everyone and not just the entitled people that feel that they earned them

I mean they should at least put them in the store to buy since all event cosmetics can be bought now. I mean some people have been unlocking the Halloween cosmetics by grinding hours while others just took a few seconds to get them in the store. It absolutely makes zero sense as to why these items cannot be obtained anymore with how BHVR runs their cosmetic store. If they want to put event cosmetics in the store they all should be in the store, there should be no special exceptions.

What do you have against periods?
7 -
Many women find them uncomfortable.
13 -
I don't agree. People who took their time to take part in this events should only have these cosmetics. Now old events doesn't make any sense because everyone have these skins.
2 -
Every game has event exclusive cosmetics that were exclusive to the event and are no longer obtainable after. Just get over it.
3 -
That's no longer the case.
The four event items they specified that would come to everyone (David's Jacket, Huntress' Mask, Hillbilly's Propane Tank & Kate's Sun Shirt) no longer are. They are remaining exclusive to people that earned them.
1 -
No
You do not get to simply get what others have worked for, to call people entitled to expecting an event cosmetic that was said to be EXCLUSIVE and that they had the game and grinded for the cosmetics at the time.
Whether or not its work isn't the question, the met the requirements/did something extra that you did not, you are not "entitled" for thinking that something you worked/grinded for and was said to be EXCLUSIVE is just that exclusive.
2 -
dude you're sounding bad now when you say that only the people that did the event deserve it you don't see me saying that what I worked for shouldn't be given out now do you
1 -
I completely agree with OP who was obviously inspired by the great Karl Marx. Grab your hammer and sickle boys. We're going back to Soviet Russia. "Your" exclusive skins?!? I think you mean OUR exclusive skins.
1 -
So if people had to work to get these items you're saying you would have no problem with them releasing them again in a future event. Correct?
3 -
Yeah I don’t want to sound ungrateful since they are still giving us a ton of free skins, but I was really looking forward to that David jacket since I never had the opportunity to earn it :(.
Hopefully they let us earn the event cosmetics in the future.

so you're just proving my point that you don't agree with equality of human rights
1 -
so you're saying that people don't deserve to have equal human rights
2 -
nah dude you're proving my point that you want to just have what you got and not give equal rights to other humans that play Dead By Daylight
1 -
LMAO yall know you're playing a video game right?
0 -
yup I do and video games have humans playing them so your point is
1 -
Just saying these items were never said to be exclusive. This is coming from someone who owns them.
2 -
Dbd communists LOL

So they will give back event cosmetics to the people who took the part in events only? Not to everyone?
0 -
If the originals were given something for getting it then or it was different hence the word "EXCLUSIVE".
0 -
Scroll up and read what someone said. Items were never said to be exclusive, and I'm currently looking at my Kate top and David jacket and no where does it say exclusive.
2 -
Honestly, I don't play killer and have the survivor items but it annoys me because the only reason they're "exclusive" is because at the time they didn't add event items in the store like they do now. They don't care now if you "grind" or not so it's just a lame excuse in my opinion.

i'm pretty sure English is not OP's native language because this has nothing to do with human rights, but i believe what he's trying to say is everyone should have an equal opportunity to earn these cosmetics, not only those who knew the game existed back in 2017, and i agree. If i had the opportunity to obtain these today, i would have worked just as hard to get each and every one of them, but i can't because i simply don't have a time machine. What's even more perplexing is why they don't release them in the store (for MONEY!) since that is how every event cosmetic has been released to date since the Hallowed Blight and no one even bats an eye about exclusivity and grinding vs. purchasing now-a-days. If they released them into the store, that would mean everyone who earned them got it FOR FREE (no different than any other recent event)! Why does everyone want to be part of an elite exclusive club for no other reason than to brag. And if for some reason people are against others purchasing their "hard-earned" cosmetic, at least allow newer players to get the opportunity to grind for it as well at some point in a future event instead of punishing them for expanding the player base. I'm willing to believe a lot of newer players are just as "dedicated" as those who were playing in 2017.

The problem is not BHVR, it’s the game industry. For some stupid reason, it became a gaming company standard to give people exclusive skins for this and for that. They call it a reward when in fact it should be called a punishment for people that for some reason couldn’t attend a certain event in a certain past date and the event will never more. E available for others to attend.
using an exagerated example to make my point clear:
you had an accident? Went to the hospital at the time? Has punishment for not having the accident on any other date, you will never be given the opportunitie to get that “reward” or a chance to buy it. You have more playing hours than some people that attended the event and want another event to be able to get it? Too bad, we don’t care that you are loial to the game, we don’t care if you play a lot more than some of those people, you just didn’t play at the right time so...
It’s just skins. It’s true that people should just ignore it, but it still doesn’t make it right. But since it’s a multiplayer gaming industry standard to do that kind of punishment, i honestly think people should just move past it and be graceful for the generosity of being given this free skins (ok, i’m not a fan of those particular skins so it’s easier for me although, of course, I would also like the opportunitie to earn them or buy them). But then again, i wasn’t counting on getting this offers before they announced it so I’m just glad I did

thank you for putting it that way I agree with you 100%

here's my solution:
put them in the store for a normal auric cells price (400 ac per piece).
that way people who REALLY want them can have them, but people who earned them dont feel like all their work was for nothing.

thank you my English isn't perfect I agree

Daily reminder that these changes are selfish towards console that never got the chance for this!

Daily Reminder that you are completely wrong.
Dead by Daylight released on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One on the 20th of June, 2017.
The Howling Grounds event (for the David Jacket and Huntress Mask) occurred from the 15th of February to the 1st of March, 2018.
The Summer Bloodfeast event (for the Kate Shirt and Hillbilly Weapon) occurred from the 7th to the 23rd of August, 2018.
Both consoles were out for several months (over a year for the Bloodfeast) by the time the events rolled around.
The Nintendo Switch is the only case you would have, and that's a very small market.

Have you ever heard of a period, my good sir?
I'm honestly fine with these event cosmetics not being released, players worked for them and they should be the only ones to have them. Kind of like legacy.
1 -
"so people that are saying "people don't deserve my Donkey Jacket or other event cosmetics" are being entitled and they think that they can get everything they want while others can just not get them and that is entirely immature".
It's quite literally the other way around. New players are complaining and acting entitled for the skins they never earned, not the older players. Older players are just annoyed with how this has ever come up in a discussion in the first place. Event items should not be released for free. Doesn't make any sense and just screams 'entitled' from newer players.
1 -
We ARE entitled to a reward because we EARNED them. Just like you are entitled to be paid for your work. BHVR should have at least given us a charm or something to signify that we were there during those events and we worked to complete them.

Ok, I guess I can just come and take your car any day I want then.

I second this.

1: Please add commas and break the paragraphs up, this hurts my eyes too read.
2: I do agree that people who played after the events should have a chance too get them, I agree with what @BDS22 said, put them in the store for 400 auric cells like all other event cosmetics. Easy fix. This way those who didn't get the chance have too pay up too get them, and the people who got it during the event won't be (hopefully) mad because they got it for free.

I agree with this.
It was when I began playing that they started putting every event cosmetic in the store. This would be fine if all previous event cosmetics were also put into the store, but they weren't. And there's no way to earn those cosmetics. So not only do new players not get exclusives of their own, but they don't have any way to earn past exclusives. That really sucks. The problem isn't just one or the other, it's the combination of both that makes newer players feel unappreciated. That's why there's so much discontent.

Nobody took the time to do these events, they were literally unavoidable as they were gained by just playing the game.
1 -
People have school, jobs etc...so not everyone have time to play all the time. I'm sure that a lot of people forced themselves to play in dbd during that event event if they didn't want to. I'm one of these people. I don't play in dbd all the time because after few hours I'm already bored + I don't have much time.

I mentioned an idea in another topic about this about reopening past events.
As mentioned before the only question is that would it be too difficult to reopen past events?
0 -
It could be difficult and if it would take time for them to reopen them we players could wait it wouldn't be a problem.
