Hey devs
How about before you release a patch because you wanna make more money, you fix your ######### bugs that ruin the game to the point of unplayability that you HAVE KNOWN ABOUT FOR A WHILE NOW.
Nah, gotta release the game because you have a greed greater than ######### EA, ######### the state of your game, ######### the voices of your community.
Nah nah nah, ship the game with a no wiggle bar if another survivor is in the terror radius when you get picked up you can't wiggle, WHEN A NEW PERK COMES OUT ENCOuRAGING PEOPLE TO BE WITHIN THE TERROR RADIUS.
OR the basement glitch, where, if you go down and get put in the basement YOU DON'T GET TO SEE ANYMORE.
The state the devs shipped this game in is unacceptable by any standards.

I'm a killer main btw, so this ######### doesn't effect me, infact it helps me so so much, I still don't use it.
But If a killer main thinks that it's unacceptable then you've got issues.
3 -
I find it quite frustrating too that these bugs made it into the game, something like this shouldn't pass the QA testing.
But acting like a 6 year old won't help your case, and won't get anyone to take you serious. Pretty sure they didn't know about these bugs before the live version released, so they haven't been in the game for a while.
6 -
They have been in since PTB.
They have known about them since PTB.
I'm tired of being kind and understanding about this ######### when it happens again and again and again.
I've tried being chill about it and at this point, they just flat out don't give a #########.
3 -
It's flat out unacceptable, anyone defending the devs here is ridiculous. Furthermore they haven't said a god damn word about when we can expect a hotfix. BUT MUH DC PENALTIES
9 -
Honestly, when I heard about the DC penalties I was like "Thank christ its about time."
Now with those two bugs, I completely understand dc'ing, like, "Oh, I got basement hooked. Time to just run into a wall because escape is pointless."
4 -
yep, ive had to DC 3 times because of the basement bug, and killers know about it, they are just doing it to be #########
3 -
I am a killer main, and I refuse to use basements right now, even if they will wiggle off. It's not right in any fair play.
3 -
Yeah, this basement glitch has ruined a couple of games for me. But with every patch comes issues. Some that even the developers don't catch. That's just coding, sis.
0 -
Yes, ALL KILLERS are taking advantage of BHVR's screw ups.
We love a generalizing survivor main. Just do what the rest of us survivors do, be better at the game and you won't get hooked.
0 -
okay we all calm down again.
they are working on it. there will be a hotfix soon.
please keep in mind that its not that easy to programm a computer game and due to the constant updates its normal for bugs to occur.
instead of being insulting like you are right now, you could instead help them pinpointing the bugs to get rid of them?
thank you.
1 -
So, whats the point of PTB then?
Whats the point of knowing a glitch it there, a glitch that basically can turn the game into a state of inability to play for one side to the point where dc'ing is literally the best option because it's that or sitting running into a wall until the killer decides to come murder you

There are changes made right before release that impact the game in ways that weren't expecting. How do you know they haven't tried to fix the issue straight before release, but since they had a deadline, they weren't able to test the fix? You can't know everything and calling them "greedy" isn't exactly on the nose, for lack of a better term.
Though that better term would probably be, unreasonable.

@ad19970 If you know any six year olds that curse like a sailor then you might want to stop teaching them that stuff, or maybe call CPS or DFS or whatever government organization you have that can check to see if that kid is getting the care they need.
We are entitled to a working game, especially when we just bought a new DLC yesterday. They said they'll fix it, so I guess we wait and see if that is sooner or too later.

In Three + years I have never seen a bug so brutal. Nor have I seen players take advantage of one this much.
1 -
We have known what the bugs are, we have known what causes them, we have been telling the devs since PTB.
It would have been infinitly better to have made an announcement and delayed the chapter than launch as is.
1 -
I get it's not easy, but there are thousand of games that release new content, and no game ending bugs like this. That and not nearly as many bugs that the Devs allow to be in their game. I've played many games that end up having a few bugs here and there, those devs jump all over it to fix it asap, these devs would rather sleep, hang out all day, or go on vacation, then decide they might want to work on it, or work on new cosmetics to put in the store first. We've had so many new cosmetics, yet hardly any major bugs fixed. FFS the horrible hitboxes and dedicated servers are still active. Yes I know they have said they are leaving them up to concentrate on the Dcing, but you can put that on hold, to get the servers working first, then focus on the major issues with this game then the dcing. Priorities are not the Devs strong suit. Money is all they seem to care about anymore. There have been the same bugs in this game for years, some new bugs in the last year that have been horrible, the loss of progression on PS4 with the Stranger Things and the uncontrollable DCing due to network failure on the games end, still NOT fixed.
They've taken so much time off to fix the bugs, taken away annual holiday celebrations to fix bugs, and yet we still have the bugs, but we have NEW COSMETICS yay.
This game is going to crap, and it sucks because I loved this game so much and I just want it fixed. Pinpointing the bugs, doesn't do anything. The devs still can't get their game fixed but they can release new DLCs, new bugs, new cosmetics, every week and every few months. Like I said their priorities are not in the right state of this game.

Asking for fixes is one thing. Throwing a hissy fit is another.
You all have to remember that behaviour is a small company. We have to have more patience with them.
1 -
Woah calm down drama queen.
But I do agree: everyone I talk to agrees that this game is in desperate need of an "operation health" update but bug fixes don't make money, and DLC does.
2 -
Except this bug has introduced, with them knowing they exist, SOME OF THE WORST GAME BREAKING BUGS SINCE DBD'S LAUNCH.
2 -
I've had patience from the original launch, update after update they break ######### again and again, some are understandable because it's something unexpected, but to launch the chapter in the state it is where you are basically rendered useless in the basement, when it is literally impossible to not get put in the basement WHEN YOU KNEW AND WERE INFORMED OF IT IN PTB.
1 -
I really doubt they all know about the bug and are doing it to be #########.
0 -
Multiple forums and PTB testers made a point to tell them.
0 -
not everyone is on the forums. I'm talking about the post where that person said all Killers are doing it to be #########.
0 -
I just hook nobody in the basement. Some other killers do it tp gain an unfair advantage, report and move on.
0 -
They knew about it; it wasn't just missed. It was literally happening on the PTB and reported regularly. Unless the devs are now admitting they just don't listen to us at all.

No need to report, nobody is getting banned for this. You'll just waste the community managers' time which they could have spend on other cases.
0 -
idc. bug abuse is bug abuse.
0 -
You don't care wasting the community managers' time?
Also, a big part of killer players won't know about this bug and/or they have to do their Tome challenge.
1 -
False reports literally do nothing except make it harder for the devs to punish people who actually do the wrong thing. It doesn't affect the reported players in the slightest.
You can also get banned for abusing the report system by consistently filing false reports, so it's probably something you should care about if you want to keep playing the game.
3 -
again idc. Every killer player that hooked me in the basement and caused the bug either didn't answered my post game message that they should stop hooking people in the basement or they didn't cared. So they can eat my reports.
1 -
Sorry but bug abuse goes under reportable actions as an exploit. :)

Devs: “Due to the game not being in the state we want it to be for release, we have decided to delay the release of this content”
Community: ”HOW DARE YOU!!?! HOW CAN YOU PROMISE A DATE AND NOT DELIVER?!?! YOU ARE TRASH DEVS WHO NEVER HAVE CONSIDERSTION FOR THEIR COMMUNITY”
2 -
Hooking people in the basement isn't abusing a bug, though, because it's part of normal gameplay. Unless they specifically say otherwise, the developers aren't going to punish people for it - a fact which @NoShinyPony already pointed out to you - any more than they would punish survivors for doing generators if a bug turned up that made repairs go faster.

Again, no false report imo. I also reported players for abusing the SB exploit.

Now we all know if the devs would have pushed back the release date for the chapter because of bugs this whole forum would have went up in flame.
The bugs are not that bad, maybe because you had a frustrating match does not mean it’s the end of the world. And some of the bugs are avoidable.
Give the devs a break, they’re not puppets.
1 -
With all respect, neither your opinion nor mine matters when it comes to whether something is a valid report. What matters is the opinion of the community team. It's up to you if you want to keep doing it or not, I'm just letting you know that reporting people for things that aren't actually bannable is a waste of your time and the community team's, and could potentially have consequences for you in the future.

Basically this forum so far:
*devs release the game broken due to schedule*
UGH THOSE ######### GREEDY DEVS ALWAYS TAKING OUR MONIES AND NOT CARING ABOUT OUR GAMEPLAY EXPERIENCE, WORSE THAN EA!!!!
*devs delay the game to fix issues*
UGH THOSE ######### INCOMPETENT DEVS, ALWAYS MAKING US WAIT FOR THEIR #########, THEY NEVER CARE ABOUT OUR SCHEDULES, WORSE THAN BETHESDA!!!!

By their own description in the report section, IT. IS. VALID.

I didn't know about the wiggling bug, I just thought they didn't wiggle as a way to say "Don't put me in basement".
1 -
Or, Or, Or, if you read the thread, I pointed out it would have been a hundred times better to make an announcement saying they are delaying the game because of a game breaking bug.
99% of people would understand if they explained it.
Which I said.
In multiple posts.
0 -
Bullshit, you and I both know if the devs came out and said they were delaying a week because game breaking bugs were destroying play people would be fine with it.
But thank you for adding ######### and all to the conversation.
0 -
They explained their reasons to delay hallowed blight late and everyone still chimped out, it really is a lose/lose situation.

Events are one thing, and I only saw like 4 people annoyed. And Halloween themed events probably should be around Halloween.
This is not a thematic event that changes gameplay very little.
This is a bug that honestly since me playing from month 1 of the games launch, is probably the worst set of bugs ever to the point where survivor is basically unplayable because one bug triggers into the next one if the killer wants to be an asshat.
"Oh, you can't wiggle? Time to put you in the basement so that you can't play anymore."
This isn't Wake up and SP bad
This isn't multiple killers glitch.
This isn't infinite mend glitch.
All of those while sucked, you could still play the game.
You as of right now, as a survivor literally don't get to play the game if the Killer decides he wants an easy win.
Edit: Also, to further exasperate the situation, lets say you get put into that situation. Well not long from now, you won't be able to DC or YOU will be punished.
So you have to sit there and wait for the killer to kill you or YOU get punished for having the audacity to want to play a game.
2 -
Tbf you couldn't play with infinite mend glitch and as far as I'm concerned, after they made the message in-game warning people, they should have banned those that used it, since at that point, there was no excuse (although really they should have just disabled the add-ons) but I do agree.
You also forgot:
this isn't the redhead's pinky finger glitch
0 -
The basement bug wasnt there in the PTB, it just came at the live servers. But overall your right, the PTB feels pretty useless, it feels the devs do their own decissions and are not even reading the feedback section. Best example, nurse changes, Legion update with endgame collapse etc.
1 -
You could at least run from the redheads.
0 -
Exactly. It was broken af, with no counter but to be immersed, but at least one could play the game.
