Oni is 💩 (on console of course)
I just bought Oni, and I can't believe this trash is in the game. It's legit so bad, in the trailers they say they want to make the player controlling Oni feel powerful, but it's the exact opposite. Please buff... And I know people are saying he's OP but that's definitely not true.

PC or console?

Obviously console, because PC players font have a hard time with Oni.
5 -
Ye... could have probably seen that coming.

The main problem is not turning fast enough mixed with the slowness of the attack, it's pretty easy for survivors to dodge, and chasing survivors until you get his power takes too long, most matches I play I dont even get 3 kills.
10 -
You just got him. Give it time and I'm sure you'll see his potential. I've been playing him non stop on console, and have won 90% of the matches I've played.

I rage quitted after the 3rd match
3 -
I couldn't see myself doing much better

then you're just robbing yourself of a good experience. have you ever started out with a new killer and instantly been amazing? no. so give Oni a chance. if you play on console, that's probably the issue.
2 -
Yea I have I bought michael Myers and got at least 3 kills ever match.
2 -
Seems on consoles he Is weaker due hardware limitations the killer doesnt need buff because that would mean he would be as strong as he was on ptb for PC. I mean buffing on consoles would mean on PC aswell, so Is imposible the game doesnt run as should on consoles.

How is Oni on console a problem if Billy isn't? But I will say this, there's no way you have the best perks or add ons for Oni yet, so don't call him trash just yet because alot of killers aren't to be played the first few times add on and perkless.

Oni is a happy poo? That means he has good digestion.
1 -
Lol I guess
0 -
Billy isnt much of a problem, plus I spent 5 bucks on this and Billy is free, and the perks never drastically change the performance of a character, besides ruin and maybe noed
0 -
Whatever I'll just accept that I wasted my money :-(
2 -
Nah, Oni is fine. I played with him and put in the most minimalistic effort and got 3 kills on the first try. He's no worse than that trash Hillbilly.
1 -
You misunderstand me, I was making that comment to the PC players who were saying Oni is somehow more difficult to play on console than on PC. I don't buy that.
But as far as the add ons and perks not dramatically changing a character... Well that simply isn't true at all. Some characters really still don't work that well without add ons (Trapper, Mike Myers, Leatherface, Doctor, some would say Hag). Hell, most people wouldn't dare play Trapper without ruin or some stall perk. So it really can vary and although some add ons seem innocuous, they can be quite powerful when synergized the right way... So don't call it a waste just yet

Complaining that you aren't good with a killer after playing less than 10 matches with him is what is actually Sh*t.
1 -
I think that billy is prolly better just because you dont have to chase someone for 3 minutes and get gen rushed just to get the power which isnt really all that great
1 -
Playing on console is the problem, because i feel like things are more balanced for PC. Nurse and huntress suck on console, but are really good on PC. oni might be the same way. I only play on PC, but other people in this thread say they are doing fine with him. He just takes some skill and getting used to. You can't give up until you've gotten better with him.
1 -
Console could really use a couple things to fix a lot of problems like this. Frame rate and better sensitivity
3 -
Everyone saying he is fine or to take time to learn him clearly hasn’t played him on console because the sensitivity is so low he can barely turn it’s horrible.
1 -
Let me guess you don’t play console then. If you did you would understand

I'm on Xbox and have been using Oni a ton. I'll admit, my first match wasn't great but after that first run, I've gotten pretty comfortable with him and his abilities. Now I'm finishing with 3 or 4 kills each game and loving this little demonic bastard.
3 -
Little?
5 -
Baby Oni
3 -
"most matches I play I don't even get 3 kills"
Is that supposed to be a bad thing?
3 -
Congrats, you're what's wrong with this community. DC because you're losing.
4 -
HOW DARE HE HAVE A CHALLENGE
1 -
I guess all the people saying they play him on console and do well are lying?
3 -
Exactly 😅 YOU MEAN IT'S POSSIBLE TO GET LESS THAN 4 KILLS?
1 -
I WASN'T TOLD THIS
ALL I KNOW IS EACH TIME I CLICK RIGHT TRIGGER, I AUTOMATICALLY GET 4 KILLS AND ANYTHING LESS MEANS THE SURVIVORS ARE CHEATING SCUM
1 -
You try him yet?

I've played the Oni 'well' on Xbox but it's mainly down to Survivors making themselves open for a pounding and generally being off the pace.
I've had swamp maps in 85% of my Oni matches and steering alone is really bad because you cannot see where you are charging and the path the Survivor takes, if the Survivor changes direction you suffer from a cooldown and a charge up of your power again and by this time they're usually long gone.
Any result you get is dependent on how good/bad Survivors are.
4 -
You obviously don’t play him on console
1 -
yeah ive been doing the same thing the only time i haven't got at least a three k was when i got a bad map such as a haddon field or the treatment theature
1 -
He ain't trash of console outside of corners imo it's pretty easy to navigate the rooms in lery's im a ps4 player btw
2 -
Clueless.

Here is a PS4 player playing him.

I didnt have any issues playing Oni on xbox.
If it takes you too long to chase survivors to get his power try some mind games, It should help.
Also, if you have any hexes dont make them a crutch and constantly guard them. Doing that shows how much you rely on them and survivors can keep you there while they do gens if you're not careful.

You should see his Nurse. He's amazing at playing her.
0 -
He is really good. :)

It takes many many many developing hours to increase the sensitivity bar in the options menu.
1 -
Glad to hear you are having success but I must chime in the opposite. I've yet to die to an Oni player (rank 6 right now).
3 -
Yeah I've had about 8 matches against an oni since release and its painful to watch my survivor literally just run away from each blade swipe, and no player even getdowned by his power.
2 -
I've only played against the Oni a handful of times because hardly anyone seems to be playing him on PS4. At least in the lobbies I'm getting, and I'm a red rank survivor. I've yet to die to an Oni. The best I've seen an Oni do so far is get a 2k. His attack is easy to dodge, and he is even easier to 360 when he is in blood fury mode.
As for playing him myself, I played many matches with him to get his adept, and the achievement for downing 75 survivors in blood fury mode. He plays like a clumsy Hillbilly, IMO. After having gotten the two achievements associated with him I never want to touch him again. I just don't like how he plays. He's awkward and frustrating.
2 -
Of course, I bought him day 1. I've had issues but he's not THAT bad, definitely not the worse. I am starting to notice why players are complaining about new Legion tho
2 -
Not all. The lucky ones. Maybe if they have a mouse/keyboard attached. But he sucks. At least on Xbox. Perks just happen to make him suck less. His handling in rage mode is absolute trash and he can be looped from here to the end of time. Billy is vastly superior.
2 -
Compared to other recent dlc killers this one feels bad to play, right off the bat.
0 -
I never said I DC'd
Maybe I did 😉
They still got their BP and there shouldnt be a penalty for killers DC'ing, sometimes people just gotta go, and what's the point of a game you cant stop playing if your not enjoying it? Or maybe like a limit of 3 dcs per day would be fine.
