SO how much more untill baby unplugers survivors will get some bans or blocks?
I know that the devs lied to us that the ppl who leaved so many games gona be banned but...yeaaa suuure we know that it will never be true.
90% of the games i have 2-3 unplugers and its ruin my killer game
im hight ranks ppl rly know how to juke and its not so good when i down a player and he just unplug = he dont loos any stuff or even rank but i lost my BBQ stuck + time+ bloodpoints frome the hook and other stuff
- SWF that just god damn left the game to give a friend a free hatch
Can the ppl who leave the game actually have some timeout in the game for a 20-30 mins? So this ######### will not be able to play?
Im playing all roles but playing killer is become more and more bad. Even if you win you dont have any fun frome it.

Jesus christ...you got 3 people , and having that last one get a hatch is hurting that bad?
It's weird for me , cause I let last one or 2 escape.
Just an hour ago I let 3 go.
I really don't get the tryhard killers in this game. And about your "problem"
You will feel better that some survivor who dc on you will have 30 min break?
It won't really fix your issue you know. And then there's those who lose connection because of some technical problem.
Wanna punish them too?Seriously...

Its not that he feels good about a survivor getting punished, its that the survivors can ruin the game for others and there is nothing you can do about it because there is no punishment
And its not the games fault that your internet sucks

I dont got 3 ppl cuz they jsut god damn unplug when i down them once
And if i wana play a normal game without unplug abuse is called TRYHARD killer now then survivors main is rly become stupid this days...no reason to try even talk with guys like thisBut for sure the ppl who unplug to safe a rank that dont mean any in this game is not a tryhards...yes
1 -
And yes...baning ppl frome games for 30 mins will fix my problem + if it will work like
First unplug 30 mins
second 2 houers
third day
it will be so good
Cuz after a one day the forums will be full of OMG I GOT BANNED FOR A DAY! WHY! THE KILLER IS KILLED ME! HE TUNNEL ME! I DESERVE THIS FREE UNPLUG
I know that devs work totaly for survivors since 4 players is more good for the game than just one but ffs its a 2 years old game and survivors still can do whatever they want
its not good in ANY game that player can dissconnect from the game and dont have ANY bad situations frome this2 -
And then there's those who lose connection because of some technical problem.
Wanna punish them too?(c)
Fun stuff
like a 0.5% of the players yea2 -

If someone has more disconnects than finished matches, i would ban. But if someone has a dc out of 20-30 matches? Nah thats fine.2 -

We ban for disconnects
We do not ban systematically if you leave only one game, we ban players that leave more than a % of their games over a certain period of time. We are aware disconnecting is a problem and can ruin the game experience. Repeating offenders are getting increased bans.
We have automated bans for hacks and cheats
We always have people working on new detection tools.
We have a team reviewing in-game reports, chat logs and investigating hacks / cheats
We have enough information to make a decision and investigate cases of hacks and cheats as well as harrassment and greifing. Video evidence isn't necessary for every case but can make the investigation faster when we can access it. We are also working on a feature that will allow the players to give more evidence, if they want, through the in-game report.
EDIT: Typo

i dc (almost) every time i get tunneled and is my last hook its just not funIf you're on deathhook, just take the death man. You won't lose 3 pips, you get to keep your points - and you don't risk a ban. You really don't hurt anybody but your team by leaving a few seconds early - you actually HELP the killer by saving him time. If you want to pay the killer back for getting tunneled, make him waste time getting you to the hook.
And I can speak from experience, you WILL get banned for disconnects if you do it too much.

Now, on to my questions: Is there a reason specifics are never shared regarding the disconnect bans? What is the % that gets a ban? Is it calculated over a specific peruod of time (e.g. last 2 weeks)? Is the team interested in feedback regarding these metrics and/or have they looked at how other games handle disconnects? Finally, are there any plans to change or update the disconnection ban system?
Thanks in advance for the reply! I understand if the answer is "that's classified", but I would like to know if the lack of info is intentional.2 -

are you just wake up?That's totally incorrect, he'll only lose at most 1 pip if he did't earn enough points and dies. But if he disconnects for any reason during the match he loses 2 pips as well as any BP earned.

Even 5% dc rate would weed out the connection related issues, but devs have allowed so abysmal dc % and I still wonder why.

We do not share the specifics (% / ratio / period of time) because we do not want players to abuse that information. We have explored different ways other games handle disconnects and made changes based on new information and our system limitations. We are also working on player reports and ban information to improve the player experience.
