Stop the matchmaking-abuse

Today, again, i was facing as rank 12 killer games with 2-3 red ranks and their lowrank friend. Matchmaking was changed before for more fair games, why did they undo it? why do i have to be abused by red rank survivors that not only beat me easily in boring and frustrating games, but also insult me at the end?

I feel like when they finally got rid of the ability for survivors to see other survivor's ranks, they just decided to make match making worse since we cant lobby dodge now.

Its suppose to make SWF match with a Killer that is closer to the highest rank survivor, not the lowest.

Suppose to. But I have experienced facing Red Rank survivors when I am below Rank 10 myself. I don't know if its a glitch, or what, but its nonsense.

The system matches you with people within 8 ranks of you if I understand right. It can be hard to find matches so making this even harder would make things worse.

Cant match with even tanked survivors if there's few killers to begin with. The ouny of people who play killer especially on console is way smaller. Even more so at red rank because once you get to red rank you get super sweat survivors, that's why you see WAYYYY more red ranks survivors than killers. That and playing survivor is significantly easier overall and more easily rewarded work towards pipping

That is what I see on ps4, I play both sides and the survivors are almost always better ranks than the killer. It is a lot easier to pip as a survivor, so I am guessing that there are way too many red rank survivors than killers.

I just played against a rank 9 killer and I'm rank 3. I was playing solo. Not everybody better than you is abusing matchmaking...

This. I had a game at rank 8 solo where the killer was rank 2 and the other 3 survivors were 15, 15, and 19.

The killer was convinced that I was swf with the rest of them, but I wasn't.

This happens in solo que as well and I doubt it was intentional

If queue times are bad, you can be matched with anyone. I've had crazy games where all my survivors were 12-10, as a rank 2 killer.

Those people weren't abusing matchmaking. It's impossible to do anyway, since the game matches ranks according to the highest-ranked survivor in the party, not the average. So basically, you could have been matched with those high ranked players even if they weren't playing with a low-ranked friend. If anything, you should be glad that there was at least one low-ranked player in the group and it wasn't just four red ranks.

The limit is 6 ranks, in theory, but you're right in that if they were to tighten that even more, it would just make queue times much worse.

I rather wait longer and have a fair match thank get it fast and play way out of my league.

So, basicly, it means i play a little less killer and a little more survivor, because thats way less frustrating.
