So far I’m enjoying the spirit changes.

No collision has actually been a lot of fun for me since it has opened up new tricks for me, I rarely used purple rarity add ons anyway so those changes don’t bother me and adding a vault animation just means that I will have to put more skill into it, which I enjoy.

How are the changes treating everyone else?

They need to revert the post-phase speed curve changes. It feels like you hit a brick wall and just come to a full STOP coming out of phase. However I think this might be a bug on Xbox, because watching TrueTalent's recent Spirit video he seemed to have a normal-ish speed curve post-phase, and he did not have Saya or Tsuba either.

If it is a bug they need to fix it.

Alternatively, revert the base kit change completely and then make Saya/Tsuba have a new effect. Something like a combined baby Unrelenting and baby STBFL for post-phase attacks.

Amulet change I don't like. The add-on feels worthless.

Everything else I'm fine with really. Doesn't hurt her much if at all.

I think it is a bug but I’m pretty use to it already, if it is a bug however I do hope they fix it.

Personally, playing against her didn't feel much different. The difference to me is seeing her vault, which is cool. It's good that you like playing her though and that your experiences are great.

I hope so. If it is a bug then I'm fine with the changes besides Amulet.

Feels pretty much same playing as her, always used green addons unless I was feeling evil so addon changes don't bother me that much. On the other hand playing against her I can't say anything since I've seen zero Spirits in about 60 survivor games since the update.

I have zero issues with the change but I will not play Spirit until the fix the post-phase bug. She just stops in place and has zero speed boost. It’s very jarring when you’re used to it. I can play around it but I’d rather not.

I agree with @thesuicidefox that the Amulet change was a little much but I didn’t use double purple add-ons unless I was bored or had a team I knew was sweaty.

I have no issues with any other change, she’s basically the same as she was before besides the buggy non-existent post-phase lunge.

So Spirit will be on the back burner in favor of Plague for the time being :/

Amulet was "makes everything MUCH better without any form of downside." Anything is going to feel worse by comparison.

(Fingers crossed for Carby Guide next.)

The Amulet needed some form of a downside but it’s really not worth it to run it now. She moves slower than Wraith with Windstorm. There’s no point to run it unless you’re pairing it with Mother Daughter Ring.

I typically only use cooldown add-ons anyways so it’s not affecting me personally. It’s just another one of those add-ons that’s not worth it to run.

Also agreed that Billy’s Instasaw needs a change but I’d MUCH rather see Iridescent Head get it’s needed kick in the gut. I’ve gotten three Huntresses with instadown hatchets since the update.

All they needed to do was reduce numbers though. The old version was a combination of her 3 yellow add-ons. Just cut down the numbers so it's like her 3 brown add-ons instead. That would have been just fine. What they did is make it almost completely useless, because taking a reduction to speed is the absolute last thing you want as Spirit. The added duration means nothing because she loses the ability to use her power effectively in a chase.

For the tuning guide, it might do alot of stuff but its all pretty minor things EXCEPT the charge rate boost, which is equal to one of his yellow addons. Things like making his saw 30% quieter isnt exactly gonna make a difference.

She's still probably the strongest killer in the game. I can go into a game using 0 slowdown perks, run devour hope, and just start ruining people. Your devour can spawn on top of a gen and it will still work half the time because you apply so much pressure they don't even touch the gens sometimes. Can't do that on most killers.

I've played a bit with mew Spirit, nothing noteworthy that changed for me. I dont like the post phase tho, I come out of it and come to a complete stop, feels really weird. Hope it's a bug

No collision actually gives me more hit than before. I don't know how to explain, but it makes me to pinpoint survivors easier

Her speed coming out of phase is ridiculous. It feels like hitting a brick wall. I hope it's a bug and it gets fixed, because it feels really awkward.

The Yakuyoke Amulet should've just had the recharge speed increase removed, instead of messing with her movement speed. Decreasing her base Haunting movement speed makes the add-on useless.

    Been feeling better than ever.

In fact I feel like I've gotten better at the game because of these changes.

I don't think so, because you are still way faster than the survivors while phasing. It gives you a much longer window to catch up to a survivor or make more elaborate moves at pallets.

I actually like the no collision. I had a SWF try to bodyblock me from a wounded survivor earlier and I just phased straight through them to get the down anyways, lol.

I rarely play with add-ons, anyway. But when I do, I'm used to her normal movement speed, so going slower than her base Haunting movement speed feels like I'm walking through molasses, even if I am still faster than survivors. Going by that, I'll continue to choose no add-ons over that add-on.

You know you could also put another one on to counter the movement speed slow and in fact go faster and have a longer duration?

Finally did a single match but I feel one of the survivors was trying their flashlight save challenge while another was quite immersed (hiding next to the hook they healed at) so can't speak of how bad I'd perform against decent survivors. Had one instance of post phase lunge where I felt like I went a shorter distance than if I just lunged normally afterwards but otherwise I wasn't "nailing" my phases anywho.

Only used the amulet 2-3 times pre-update while trying out gen grab spirit (1 of which was on the game so it was quite pointless imo), and I felt the prayer beads made it harder to sneak up on people honestly. I've been experimenting with getting barely into terror radius then phasing in on them to surprise them and I may have gotten two people using it.

I only used the katana-esque addons once and didn't like em so no loss on that part. The only one that 'hits' me hard is the reduction of charge speeds, but is understandable to keep the curve of rarity equal (10 to 20 to 30).

The loss of collision honestly felt like a buff in the times it happened: I ran past the survivor and they ran right into me. Otherwise they're a bit more paranoid at pallets since they can't "feel" for me walking into them and drop them early, then possibly jump right into me as they can't see me post phase (was a double rock-pallet and I hid my light).

I guess. Running add-ons just gets so expensive. Most matches it's either I do well and get bored so that I just let the survivors go or I do terrible and get like 8k points. (Unless I just farm the survivors, but I haven't been doing that as much lately. It's gotten kinda old.) Either way, I don't earn enough BP to keep up with burning through add-ons. But that's my own problem, changing the Yakuyoke Amulet won't fix that. I just personally think they changed it in a weird way. Purple add-ons usually don't have a negative; that's normally reserved for the pink add-ons.

Do you use BBQ? I can still get 30-40k with BBQ even in a lost game, assuming you get all 4 stacks.

For a while I always ran a farming build (which uses BBQ and no add-ons) on Spirit so I could put BP into other characters, but doing the same thing over and over gets old. After it got announced they were going to nerf her add-ons, I finally tried out the Yakuyoke Amulet. When I change up my perks and run add-ons, trying to play a real match, it's like I said: the survivors are either so bad I feel like I'm bullying them or I do so poorly I hook like one person. Somehow, there's no in-between. It's crazy how expensive it is to use add-ons, especially if you have a bunch of bad matches. Compound the cost with the Bloodweb RNG and it's like throwing BP into the wind.

(This also may just be me being kinda burned out right now, 'cause I had to grind like crazy to complete the Rift before I travel in a few days. Hopefully, they'll have fixed Spirit's post-phase speed by the time I return, because it's really jarring to feel like I hit a wall when I come out of Haunting. She's blind and has no collision, having her come to a stop is a bit much.)

    But that's suuuper off-topic.

Oh, back on topic. I forgot to mention, because I need to mention this in every Spirit thread until the end of time (or until they change it): her new vault animation looks comically bad. I'm fine with her not being able to mind game vaults, but it'd be nice if they'd just touched up the original phasing-through-the-vault animation, because this animation looks silly. It may work for the other killers, but Spirit looks ridiculous.
