PVE---Making DBD More Interactive and Fun
So after taking a break from the game for a few days, trying to cool off and think positive again, I suddenly thought of this idea that might be fun and helpful for many reasons. I don't know if this should go in feedback or not because I wanted opinions on it first; also the Devs don't read my suggestions so it doesn't matter anyway.
Idea 1
The Crows: When you run by a murder of crows they begin to peck and attack you causing you to stand in place and begin struggling to bat them away by pressing your assigned Struggle button repeatedly. It can take like 4 or 5 seconds and when it ends the crows fly away as they normally do, this means Spies From The Shadows will only trigger after you bat them away. This attack will not trigger when you are actively in a chase and if you are within a defined radius of the Killer, like if the Killer is a few feet away and you exited chase and are sneaking around the Crows will instead just fly away. Or perhaps there can be a cooldown put in place, such as for the next 10 seconds after winning a chase(as Survivor) Crows will only fly away instead of pecking you.
The Devs have stated that there are other creatures within the realm of The Entity but we haven't seen them but instead of adding new animals we can just use the Crows. I feel that if the Crows attacked you instead of just flying away it would create more interactions in the game and make the Crows feel more alive and actual servants of The Entity. They don't injure you but they stop you in your tracks and it forces you to be more aware of your surroundings. Many players probably don't give Crows a second glance and forget they even exist as they don't do anything but if they did this it would force players to be more proactive when they're trying to be sneaky, it will add more depth and Calm Spirit will be cooler since it directly involves them.
EDIT---Crows will not attack you when you are within 10-16 meters of a Killer at all times. They will just fly away instead.
Idea 2
The Entity: There are several ways it can be incorporated into matches and this is the one I came up with. Throughout the match at either a random or predetermined interval 3 random Vault Locations will be blocked for 5 seconds. After a certain time this will be increased to 4 Vaults and then eventually 5 and then 6 and so on. I think it should go in cycles like it blocks 3 Vaults 3 times and then upgrades to 4 and repeats. This will continue to happen and get stronger until Survivors find the source of The Entity in the match placed somewhere on the map; I'm thinking it will be this blob with spiky tendrils poking out. The Survivors will calm The Entity down with an animation that takes several seconds and this resets the amount of Vaults to 3 and give Survivors a cooldown before it starts back up.
Entity Blockers only pop up if the Killer uses a perk or if a Survivor abuses a Vault so I think this will make the map feel more alive and force Survivors to abandon Gens in search for this secondary objective, similar to a totem. The Gens will eventually get slower because of this and it will help out Killers and also give Survivors more to do and interact with in the game. They have Gens but they also have to calm down The Entity so chases with the Killer won't be as stressful. The windows get blocked for only 5 seconds as it is only meant to stop a Survivor from Vaulting randomly in a chase and not actually be a detriment to their survival unless they just refuse to calm down The Entity.
EDIT----Entity Blockers will block the Killer from Vaulting as well. This would hurt the Killer's momentum but this is supposed to be fair and it isn't like Bamboozle where it choose to block the window. I do however think it would be ok if Legion could still vault them in FF as the power is non-lethal with a punishing cooldown and you should have more than enough time to run away. If you feel that is unfair then Legion needs more nerfs.
Perks like Bamboozle and the disgustingly weak Cruel Limits will still be viable, except for CL case, as they are focused Entity Blockers. Bamboozle is a perk you use in a chase so it is something you control which makes interactions with random Entity Blockers more dangerous and sporadic. Cruel Limits will still be crap but I feel this should be a normal game feature instead of a buff for this perk as they do two different things. Cruel Limits has a buff the community has been giving since its release but they have gone unheard so this is more of a reason to be a game feature instead of a perk as it makes every match more dynamic.
final thoughts
PVE, if that's what these ideas qualify as, could be fun for Killers and Survivors as it adds more to the base game instead of through perks. We don't need perks to add new features as we have to buy those so how about we add just new environmental features to the base game and make it feel more alive. Everyone agrees that Gens are boring and that matches can get to be too fast so by adding some sort of non-lethal but interactive passive into the game it could add some flavor. This is a 1v4 so if you aren't being chased then you're doing Gens and if you never get chased then the match was boring as you didn't really do anything. These things can also be a passive buff to Killers as well as all Killers can benefit from this.
What if we change the direction of the game to adding more to the base game rather than through chapter characters and perks?
One last thing, these are the ideas I came up with and if you think of something better then go for it. These ideas might suck or they might be too powerful but please remember these ideas are not set in stone and anything can be balanced and made right if given enough attention and passion.

I agree with you, I'd love to see them break the whole "no A.I" thing. I mean they kinda have already with the tutorial.

Exactly, there is a lot more that can be done with this game if they branch out into other areas. They don't have to completely change the game or sacrifice their vision for it but this game has problems that they aren't dealing with and maybe A.I can fix them.

Yes more game modes. The game modes they have rn need no more love imo

I rather like this idea! It would make the game alot more exciting. That and well, it would make sense for the Entity to get more involved and torment the pawns it has.

I like the idea, but I feel it could be unfair like a Crit rocket in TF2. Imagine running from a killer only too be blocked by the Entity because of random chance. Or the killer happens too walk in on you being attacked by crows, and you have too take a hit or get insta downed.
I like the concepts, but it would be way too similar too hex totems. It would be unfair for survivors.

As long as these weren't the only things going on it would be fine. While I am definitely more for pve, adding things to the base pvp game that pretty much only benefit the killer in a game already weighed in their favor would tick off a lot of people

It would be cool if killers were subject to the entity's interference as well being that everyone involved is there ultimately for the Entity's benefit.

I like these ideas, there needs to be more for survivors to do in a match besides hold m1 and be chased! These ideas would benefit everyone!

I think that's fair, tbh it would make sense lore-wise as well because The Entity isn't on anyone's side, it kidnapped everyone regardless if they want to be there so the EB stopping Killers from Vaulting too would make sense. It would def make some losing situations for Survivors but also help them too.

Well that's the point, these are supposed to make it difficult at random times within the game. I had another person suggest that the Entity Blockers stop Killers from Vaulting too, I think that's fair as it's different from Bamboozle or a normal EB. This could randomly save or kill a Survivor depending on the chase.
As for Crows, I want to avoid that situation where a Killer is close-by and you get attacked by Crows making it an easy hit or down. It isn't supposed to help Killers get downs I want it to just be an interaction so I guess it needs a defined radius at all times instead of just after a chase.

Personally, RNG shouldn't decide whether you live or go on a hook. Same thing applies too totems, RNG shouldn't decide if it lasts 10 seconds or 3 minutes. So even if it blocked a vault for killers it wouldn't matter because you're still gonna be taking a hit or going down. The killer doesn't need vaults unlike survivor.

I can respect that, we enjoy different game-play elements.
