Keys to escape shouldnt exist.

did you actually ever played the game?.- do u know what a key is?. if u know what a key is and means, reformulate your answer, unless u are a survivor main in that case i would understnad why u say it, is like saying moris are fair and balanced.
0 -
Debunked.
you need to be in a 4 man SWF to have a 50% escape chance. Meaning game is killer balanced.
2 -
I both know what keys are AND what grammar is.
1 -
nah u dont if u knew you wouldnt say this nonsense. keys are a free escape because survivor didnt repair 5 gens, is that easy actually, really that easy but i can understand if your brain is not big enough to get it.

I don’t mind either. If I find out the killer has a mori, I go full on Predator Blendette Cloak Mode and meld into my surroundings and do my best to never be seen.
If I see a survivor has a key, and they turn out to be toxic, I’ll tunnel them until they die. If they’re not toxic, I’ll treat them normally.
Im a potato player in both roles, and have no desire to play super competitively, though I’d like to loop better, so when I play killer, if someone dc’s or if I kill a few players too soon, I’ll just troll the remaining two for fun and let them go. If I’m playing Ghostface, I’ll put on a twerk show for them too.

survivor mains man they dont think straight, they never cared about the balance in the game. they never will. most of the sense i read in this forum came from killer mains sadly. is rare to see a survivor main talking with sense, there are but is not that commun sadly. i wish they were more.

I use a key for when killer is stacked, has mori AND for when they choose to slug. Keys are fine.
1 -
Better than the old Moris.

As a player who plays killer and survivor equally, keys and moris are not a problem, sure it's frustrating when they escape via the hatch but I'll just move on to the next game. Same with moris, I'll just move on to another game and start again. It's not a big of a problem as you think.
1 -
it is when u see them constantly.
0 -
That would prevent anyone from completing one of the hardest survivor achievements in the game.
1 -
Then maybe bring franklins? Or maybe dodge the lobby? Plus there's a challenge for depleting keys so that could also be it. Plus they still have to get 5 gens done to use it or 4 and have someone die.
1 -
Just accept that you won't win every game. It's that simple. Same goes for survivors.
1 -
I will say, the killer gets to see a person has a key in the lobby. You can change up strategy after that. Make sure to kill the key user. Or bring a mori. I don’t think the game needs either removed.
2 -
I don't think its a free escape considering you technically have to work on gens to even get the hatch to appear.
2 -
so moris are indeed fine as well specially ebonys cause you actually worked for it you hooked that person. right?
0 -
Of course, though I will say it's way too easy to get a Mori. I still feel they need to add a little more difficulty to what it takes to Mori a Survivor.

Keys don't come into play into a match until late in the match when you are either dominating the survivors and they're all basically dead OR if you're getting destroyed and losing anyway (at which point it doesn't matter that they escape through the hatch because you were losing anyway).
All this drama and theatrics over keys is ridiculous. You know what takes away more fun for multiple players and is much easier to use? Moris.
In a worst case scenario: which can be used within the first 60 seconds or less of a game: A mori or a key?
The answer to that question is the thing you should complain about before worrying about the other.
For the record, I don't care about Moris, but I'm tired of seeing people complain so much about keys but they see nothing wrong with Moris which are WAY more powerful

I agree. Mori's are way too easy to pull off. Like I said above, there should be a more difficult requirement to be able to Mori a Survivor. One hook is definitely too accessible.
Side Note: that scenario was well played.

Unless you have two accounts, then reread the reply of mine you quoted. I didn't say that to you. You quoted me replying to someone else.

You kind of can't bring Franklin's or dodge lobbies when there's a Killer with a Mori. Not to mention that I literally have nothing in my power to control whether Survivors are able to find a key in a chest, during the trial. It happens more often than not in my games. Otherwise, I always dodge key lobbies. I think a simple fix is to make it where Survivors can't find keys in chests during the trial, of purple or pink rarity, or that the only person who can escape via the Hatch is the user of the Key, not all Survivors. And also, Ebony Mories should be after 2nd hook, since it will be the same thing regardless; if you get downed after you get hooked twice, you're gonna die either way, unless you have DS. Ebont Mories will then only exist for the achievement, or to just get the kill satisfaction.

Or...? They still need to do gens to get the hatch to spawn. And if their team gets annihilated then its at least a bit better knowing one person has at least some mercy and hope in finding the hatch after its been shut as doors spawn within easy patrol range.
I don't see the argument here. Gens still need completed to get it to spawn and the only other situation is if their team gets slaughtered before enough gens have been done.
If the first happens and gens get done then you probably weren't winning anyway unless you're rocking noed and blood warden. And the second it juat turns into who can find the hatch first or hoping to pull a key from a chest.
I don't see the issue or argument behind this

I mean I’m a rank 4 killer and I play oni if I see people with too many items franklins demise them and I f I just see someone with a key I just focus them and try to get them out of the game first
0 -
I actually barely come across survivors using keys but I still see people with keys just not as much
0 -
Then you guys choose have to hook every survivor twice to Mori :) No free kills
0 -
then remove keys as well, also what addon would you give killers to replace it?
0 -
then moris would be worse than useless, because it will usually take more time to mori someone than to hook them, also if you are going to hook them you can drop them if you need to incase something comes up or happens, with a mori you are locked in the animation. so you would be spending blood points to basically get a small nerf in the game or just never use it

keys should be limited to one person and they'd be fine.
thats my opinion.
it just feels extremely cheap when multiple players get a "get out of jail for free" card just because one guy brought in an item.
thats just too strong for a single item - and again puts SWF above solo survivors, since they can communicate with each other and get more key escapes out of a single key / one can bring a map to locate the hatch easily.

Found a key in a chest today. I was running from the killer when the last gen popped, and while leading her on a chase I found the hatch and just popped out. It was fun for me, but I doubt the killer was amused.
Keys can be frustrating as killer but they're fun as survivor. I don't see moris very often as survivor, and even when I do I'm usually just happy to die to a different animation than the boring hook. I'd hate to lose moris, and if it takes keeping keys to keep moris in the game, then -shrugs- There are still a lot of factors and RNG that come into play to use a key. I've been annoyed by the old insta-heals way more often than by keys in matches.

Just gonna point out using a key and using a mori are not on the same level. A mor you have to do the bare minimum to use where as a key you have to do almost the entire objective depending on how many people are alive
0 -
2 people only need to do 3 gens to escape. that's not ok. they are basically cutting their objective in half.
0 -
Which means you still got 2 kills. Also still technically more than half and plenty of time to hold pressure on the map if done properly.
Only situation that partially has an argument is if they 4-genned themselves, and its a cheap way out. But seeing as that happens/has happened <0.5% of matches... I think maybe 3 or 4 times in the combined matches of my gf and I. A grand total of over 1200 hours and so few matches have had 4-gen scenarios.
Still don't see a good or valid reason
0 -
Yeah, 26 survivors out of 100 still survive, something has to be done! Let's nerf keys !
0 -
It doesn't force you to bring an ebony mori, but I'm glad you think tunneling people off the first hook is fun and somehow discourages people from using keys.
0 -
Die mad about it.

Except for the part that keys reward survivors and moris guarantee a safe pip at best most likely de pip in red ranks due excesive need of points requirements to pip

U are a surv Main i don't expect a Lot of commun sense but for u Is ok if 2 or 3 people escape vía hatch when half the Game Is completed or 75 percent. Let me tell u that for killers Is not fun and it punished the killer for free and survivors get rewarded for not doing their objective wich Is hilarious and sad at the same time
0 -
Or: 50 of those deaths were " probably" god survivors. You still see plenty of gods in brown ranks... Got it? With "probably", everything is possible... I don't think we can have a serious argumentation while using this word.
0 -
If it was after second hook they would be used less than they already are due to time wasted
0 -
I’d say mori should exist. They should require the killer too hook someone twice in order for them to be moriable. Just so the survivor had a fair game of two hooks. If the survivor was on 1st hook without being unhooked and than made it into struggle phase, than the killer still would only be able too hook the survivor. With keys, only the survivor who uses the key should be able to escape with it. So than by anyone else who picked up the key can still use it, if that other person lost it by death/drop/franklins
0 -
I am a red rank survivor and I run Lithe, Inner Strength, Plunderers, and We'll Make It at rank 2. I'd be careful about your use of "always" when generalizing a group. And when I do switch it up, I switch out Lithe for Borrowed Time because I care about my teammates surviving more than I care about myself

I personally think keys should only be able to open the hatch when more than 1 survivor is alive and all generators are complete, to prevent the hatch from being opened after the killer closes it and to prevent early hatch escapes.
This encourages players to play for 5 gens and encourages altruistic key use to avoid getting stuck at the opening exit gate phase
EDIT: I do think other survivors using a hatch escape you opened should provide altruism points as well (maybe 500 to 1000bp per escape?)
Pink Moris if kept need to only be usable after a person is on stage 3 (death hook) of the hooking phase (so either 2 hooks or 1 hook with struggle)
Green Moris are perfectly fine for me, but maybe make it that they can only be used if 3 or more gens have been popped, to give 3 survivors a chance to do 2 gens but to give the killer a viable and fair way to slow down survivor progress.
If you have a problem with yellow Moris being op, seek help.
EDIT: Moris should be adjusted not to gimp a players emblem ranking if these changes are added.

Think you could not make him out to be killer bias without evidence first

Keys are not ok in the current state and i Saw pages of comments syaing Is like that. So i wasnt bad in the slightest... They should get reworked aswell.

just because you dont see it doesnt mean it's not happening, I've played several games where I killed 2 guys before the 3rd gen was even done and it still happened.
0 -
"hold pressure on the nap" you cant hold pressure on the nap when the last two survivors are hiding and tapping a gen everytime you leave. you also cant predict 100% of the time where the hatch will doawn
0 -
the only thing keys does Is giving the killer a -1 Even if they were playing good. Keys only exist to punish survivors also moris does aswell because you'll get a safe pip at best.
0 -
Lol.. little do you know. Please stop spreading lies. You realize the game even tracks how many skillchecks you hit as survivor?? How many survivors you sacrificed? Before last gen done? It even tracks how many hits you got while blinded, how many perfect games you had, etc. ??

played 20 matches as survivor in red ranks today
i faced 1 green mori which wasnt even used
