Did anyone ever hear about contrast? Yamaoka, MacMillen und Gidion (low level) are insanely dark. Turn on the damn lights!

Totally dark and creepy in the concept art, blindingly bright in-game...
I like having a few legitimately dark maps again.

Except they can get too dark. It’s very, very easy for Survivors to hide on Sanctum of Wrath. Sometimes they’ll just vanish right in front of you because of how dark that map is. No map should be anywhere near that dark.

It looks extremely dark even without anti-aliasling. There are some parts in lery's that are darker than usual too

The number of times Survivors have just... disappeared in Sanctum of Wrath is insane. Also I do it all the time as survivor.

I got the spine chill challenge with P3 Claudette on new Yamaoka map. Spine chill, Distortion, Urban, Dead Hard. Literally the killer didn't see me the entire game. You can't see P3 Claud on this map. It's too dark.

I don't care about the game being dark. All I want is a functioning and reliable sound system, like in the good old days. I might not be seeing that P3 Claudette being one with the bush, but I can hear her! Wait no, I can't hear her anymore!

They wrecked the Yamaoka lighting with this update. It's super annoying, but playing as ghostface has been pretty fun.

The main issue isn’t just the darkness in Yamaoka. It’s that there is way to much brush and visual noise. I play survivor and killer. I realize that it’s perfect for hiding. It’s terrible when you’re a killer and you can’t see a person who is standing right in front of you due to the brush. I played a match yesterday where 3 Blendettes used 3 murky reagents. So the match was a wash. There was no way I was going to get anyone. Mount Ormond might be bright. But it means it takes skill to play well. It’s my favourite stage hands down, as killer and survivor.

Maybe Survivors should have big, red exclamation marks on their head. I mean, I already know that Killers want ez 4Ks, but come on... At least use those balls in your head.
I dont think that the new Map is too dark. For once, it is a Dark Map. Like, on Thompsons House, I can watch from one side of the Map to the other... Does not look good at all.
The bigger problem on the new Map are the Bushes, Bamboo or whatever this stuff is called. The same as on the first Yamaoka-Map, where you can crouch and be invisible. Other than that, the Map is fine.

It has nothing to do with easy 4Ks. The maps are too damn dark. Even as survivor you can't see things. It's one thing to make a creepy mood. But making something so dark is not moody, it's just bad design.

For illustration, here is a pic of me hiding on the new Yamaoka map. I can just sit in the grass in the killer's plain line of sight, he doesn't see me.

That is just your opinion. I love the new maps darkness and I’m pretty sure other survivors that are fellow Blendettes love it. I’m also confident stealth killer such as Mrs Piggy, Ghostface, Wraith and Meyers enjoy the added sneakiness of the map too.
