Something has to be done about gen speed.
Yes i know another topic on gens but if its been talked about so much why hasnt anything been changed? Far too many times have i gen rushed and been gen rushed in less than 6 minutes, How in the world is that fair or fun? It really does confuse me on how the devs continue to either ingore or just not care about this very large issue. Somthing needs to change and im sure any right minded player of this game would agree.

Devs don't want to increase them because they're boring as hell, but they are too lazy to add an actual new objective so the game is always in a really poor state.

Nothing can be done about gen speed. No one wants sit on gens any longer. Maybe a secondary objective. But aren't kill rates at like 70% now. Seems plenty of killers are doing fine with current speeds

70% is a 2k on average which is a depip for red ranks

For every round that "gen rush finishes the game in 6 minutes" theres at least 1 round of "kill rush finished the game in 6 minutes".
Maybe we should extend gen times and make survivors go down after 3 hits? To stop kill rush?

U need to use stronger killers all the time then survivors complain about why everyone use them then they get nerfed Is a circle of never ending due how lazy they are they don't Care about killers

I love just being unable to get to the other side of the map without a gen popping right as I get there. Fun times.
In all seriousness, some killers can't do anything against a competent team, especially one on coms. This is including the Oni (at least on console).

I'd say this is the real problem here. What it takes to get a pip, or even black pip at red ranks is nonsense for killer. I really miss the old killer victory cube sometimes.
Both of which are legitimate tactics with legitimate counters in the form of perks.

Yes but no fun..and not a lot of skill involved. That's why it is hard to pip now. Cause they trying to promote more fun game play

I mean, generally losing isn't fun. It's part of life, whether that be in a video game or in a real sport.
If you're playing football, and the other team is beating you badly, are you going to ask them to nerf the other team, or change their perfectly legitimate play style? BHVR, in the DBD instructional video, promotes camping as the more or less intended way to play, if you want to be technical.

I had a thought about this but I see so many issues with my idea that I held off on it.
Ideally I like the idea of an optional objective that if 3/4 survivors agree to it greatly increases the bloodpoint rewards they could get, but it prolongs the same as well. So survivors that are blasting through gens can make that choice.
See the problem is what if 1 person doesn't agree; what if the killer is losing so bad he doesn't want that he just wants to be out of that match, they are gonna be salty and complain about that.
I don't think it's something that a solution that makes everyone happy is possible; but I really think another objective does need to be added to this game, something optional but rewarding.
No one has an issue with the balance of it, they just don't want to sit in queue for like 15 minutes for a 5 minute game.

Pretty sure 70% is closer to a 3k than 2.
But also that says something is wrong with the ranking system, not gens.

That's not how averages work. 3K don't happen on average until it reaches 75%

I'm not asking for nerfs. I said gen speed was fine. This post was asking for them. So by your point...camping and tunneling is fine...so is gen speeds.

I'd sorta like trying the old victory cube or something like it again to be honest.
Would be fairly different as a lot of the things that existed while it was a thing like more pallets, pallet vaccuum and more consistently open god windows just to mention a few are either gone or improved a lot since then. For red ranks at least it'd probably be less frustrating for players that care about rank and pips, and it avoids weirdness like killers being punished in Chaser emblem score for using instadown abilities/perks 😄

I agree with this. My rule with friends is one of us must escape. I hate when we lose because they get so worried about 1 guy hitting second stage that they keep trading hooks instead finishing gennys.

I'm not fan of moris...but I get noed on certain killers. Just c'mon with spirit with ruin noed and ebony. Not saying that's you..just that I've seen that and its overkill

Increasing the objective time would butcher this game. Kill rates are already high, this would increase them even more and discourage many people from playing survivor. The game would need so many more changes in addition to an increased objective time. I don't think the devs will want to make so many changes to their game, especially at once.

Second objective idea: finding the lever for the escape door.
Can be found in chests or on the map itself.

Why dont devs just at the bare minimum (for red ranks) atleast add a extra 2-5 seconds for gen completion??

Nope with those stats no killer had gotten 75+ Freddy is at 73% but it's still in the 2k range all killers are in the 2k range btw

C'mon this is silly...it equates to 2.92 kills a game. If something cost $2.92 you rounding that to 2$ or 3.

Something also has to be done about the archive challenges. What the issue was it was extremely hard and luck based. Now they made it easier but is still luck based. Guess they took our feedback with a grain of salt.

The only thing that can be done about gen speed, is for killers to play better. They need to stop chasing the loopy loopy, clicky clicky one and get to gen patrolling. You also need to take a long look at the killer you use and the perks you run. It's absolutely 100% the killers fault if gens get done in 5-6mins

Hmmm disagree gens can be done in less than 40 seconds how is that fun for lower tier killers?

1 survivor is 25%. 3 is 75%. 2 is 50. Until it reaches 75 you're averaging out to 2 survivors per game.

I know its 2.92 /4. Which is 2 and 92 out of 100 3ks. 8 out of 100 games prevents a 3 k average.

I can't remember what streamer it was, but they were swf and had tool boxes and bnp and If i remember correctly, they finished a gen in 7 seconds.

70 is closer to 75 than 50. Modal result in this instance is most definitely 3k.

You don't really round since 2.92 is still not a 3k if your actually looking at it in terms of kills btw 0-24 =0k 25-49=1k 50-74=2k 75-99=3k 100%=4k

I have to agree the gen speeds are so fast as 3 survivors on one gen which is what normally happens in games takes 33 seconds! which is extremely diffcult to deal with on medium and big maps. but was thinking why not increase gen repair times on those medium to big maps instead of a general increase on repairing gens, as if we did it to the small maps then those games will always be a killer win games(which sounds to heaven for me lol). But i can't see why its unfair to increase the times on the gens in medium and big maps was thinking for three people doing one gen in a big map should take 50 to 60 seconds and that just a survivor doing it with no perks or toolboxes.

yeah i also run that and corrupt intervention as dont have ruin but it still doesnt solve the issue as even with discordance all that it does is tell me if two people are at gens and i could be at the other end of the farm for example. i think the two issues is the gen times are fast and sizes of the map hence why i suggested to increase the gen times on big/medium maps but on small maps keep them the same
