Breakout is such a fun but useless perk.
As the title suggests Breakout is really fun to use but it literally does nothing, using it almost non-stop with Mettle of Man trying to get people to wiggle out and in a total of maybe 40 games 2 people have wiggled out successfully. Both times required Mettle of Man procs to take an extra hit and 3 missed killer swings. The perk saves literally 3.2 seconds of wiggling out of 16 seconds. In a world where hooks spawn so close to each other and an average of 10 hooks per map I would think it being 25% wiggle increase and a 2 meter increase (Up from 6 meters to 8 meter) would help this perk be viable instead of just depressing.

I respectfully disagree.
I've had fun baiting killers to hit me while they're carrying a teammate and that teammate inevitably getting off after struggling for a while. It's challenging and fun to do.
But, I do understand how you would think it would be frustrating and useless to use ^^;

thats the problem with perks they are cool ideas but really weak

It's really not useless, but it's more of a SWF bully perk than something you can realistically use solo.

I pick someone up and here come the other squad of Yuis swarming me and then in a few seconds I drop the survivor. And then they run off.

Basically completely agree with what @DelsKibara said, I'm personally having a lot of fun with it.

Put it ona team with SWF running putrid oak or whatever the hook distance offering is and you'll be in for a very annoying time, it's not a solo perk that's what survivors seem to miss about these types of perks. The game is 4 v 1 not all but there are a number of perks that really only become good once you have SWF squad to run with.

or a sabo squad

Maybe I've been unlucky but after the third missed swing they just go for the hook instead and usually get it even after body blocking and taking a hit, that's what I find frustrating is that I feel like it's so close to working but rarely does even with so much effort put into it.

My question is does it stack with other Break Out users?
Like if two of us are using the perk and we're both next to the killer carrying the survivor. Does it stack and increase the survivors wiggle by 50%?

It doesn't stack.

Thanks and aww 😥

Woulda been way OP if it stacked

4 people using breakout is 4 people throwing a game. Show me a VOD on twitch of a break out squad bullying the killer with this perk. I'd be willing to bet that there aren't any or it's like I said and they threw the game trying. Youtube videos don't qualify because you can show one success per 100 failures on youtube.

Try running it with Sabo
1 -
It actually only saves about 2.7 seconds, so it's even worse than you thought.

No idea while BHVR keeps creating SWF friendly perks instead of solo support.

I think they should have thought of the consequences of using this perk and the counterplay.
As a killer you can press R and drop the survivor to chase away the "taunting" Breakout user. Slugging is such a fun playstyle...-.-"

Pair it with ashes flip flop and the other one that hides the closest hook and wiggle makes the killer flop everywhere. As long as killer hasn't slapped a wiggle perk on you're outta there

Wait.. You asked for video proof and then say that youtube videos don't count? What?

@SirFloofington The thing is, it can't be viable on single survivors as it would completely break the balance. Body blocking is also a thing that can happen, but must never be the common scenario. Body blocking works if you have at least two survivors around to take hits and get enough time. That means 3 survivors off gens and shouldn't happen too often, but resetting a chase and avoid one hook is a great benefit. If every survivor could manage to get wiggles as solo, this would be a new meta perk and break balance completely.
Maybe use chat pre game to make others aware that you have it and they join you if you run into the situation where there could be two body blockers.

It has too much of an impact on the killer for it to be buffed in the way you would like it.
It's the same reason why why boil over wasn't given wiggle speed increases.
Breakdown requires somebody else so it's not as bad but constantly having somebody mess with your progress is very frustrating

That is the problem of the perk you can't buff it to much because it will become a problem but when it is not buffed it is actually close useless. So why make the perk in first place ...

I've seen one person try this perk and literally got everyone slugged trying to save him before the other survivor got hooked and thank God 1 person brought unbreakable and picked 2 of us up so only one of us died.... I hate the perk, it's toxic and useless....lol

99% all the hooks then it is really op

I completely understand that it can take 2 people body blocking to stop a hook that's why I use Mettle of Man to get my procs and then I can take 2 hits with it to try saving someone (usually death hook) by baiting killers into swings or even getting hit to slow them down but even through 2 hits and a deadhard (Killer swinging into it) I still struggle to get a single person struggling off and I end up throwing 95% of games because of a risky play like that. It's just frustrating that putting so much effort and perks into the build and it very rarely actually works. Like I said it's still a fun perk but just so hard to get it working.

I agree it can't be buffed a lot but a 5% increase on it's tier 3 version and a 2 meter increase on it's radius wouldn't be broken. It saves 2.7 seconds as someone corrected me earlier so it going to like 3.2 seconds isn't game changing but the amount of times I play with a friend and they're at 95% wiggle meter before getting hooked is almost half of the games I've played with it. (This is 2-3 missed killer swings and 2 hits with Mettle of Man) It's just disheartening to see it failing almost every time regardless of how committed I am to it. (Running Mettle+Styptic Agent is the only reliable way I've found to successfully get someone off of the killer's shoulders but it's really expensive to do)

A twitch video is a stream where you can see it working over an extended period of time, while youtube tends to be highlights. Though at this point I'd be satisfied with seeing a youtube video of a 4 man group using it to bully a high rank killer.

Ya but with a swf, with 4 oak offerings and sabo boxes it can be really annoying I'm sure.

Yeah just your sentence was a bit silly - GIMME VIDEO PROOF BUT NONE OF THAT THERE YOUTUBE. lol

I think that's how text comes across in general. I assure you no salt was intended.

If by useless you mean not free escape like ds, yes its useless.
God i hope one day they destroy ds for good, and people will start realizing how good some of the perks are.
