Within 6 ranks is bullshit
I don’t care if I have to I wait a little longer to go against players or my own level but little consideration has been put on matchmaking. If I’m rank 7 I don’t want to go against rank 1s

There's a dearth of killers in purple/red ranks, so high ranked survivors have to wait a while to get lobbies, so they go to the full 6 down. It's almost like people don't want to subject themselves to the stress that is high rank killing...

There is literally 0% difference between rank 7 and rank 1 survivors. That's like 2-3 days of playing actively for a few hours. My survivor rank was 8 a few days ago and I decided to quickly go to rank 1 before rank reset which I hit today. Am I another person than I was a few days ago now? 🤔

I mean would you? What is the fun of going against groups at the highest rank, especially when a ton of them are SWF?

I think it can be argued that if you are constantly at rank 1 you are not making too many mistakes

it was soloQ (randoms were at most 2men swf) so tell me more about getting max 6 rank range LuL
game was yesterday on PC

I stopped playing, and won’t be playing again, until this crappy matchmaking system is fixed. As the OP has stated, I’d rather wait 15-20 minutes for a match with players of the appropriate rank, rather than playing with players ranked 10-20. Seeing ranked 18-20 survivors up against a rank 2 killer is just sad, and not fun in any way. Each survivor loads in individually, with at least 3 seconds between each player loading.
This has been going on every day since the last patch, on the PS4. I am also, for the first time ever, starting to play with the exact same players, over and over again, which means the player base has has significantly declined. And the weirdest thing ever is that I have not played a single game against the Oni, in the past week either. I’ve gotten the map like 2 or 3 times, but never have I even seen the Oni.

Trust me when I say there are a lot of babies at red ranks. These survivors don't look behind them, let alone loop properly. Sometimes you'll get a good coordinated team who will beat you pretty easily, but don't blame it on the ranks. You'll find some better survivors at green/purple ranks than players at red ranks.

I'm rank 11 and was getting put up against fours and fives all night last night. Their skill level is a lot further away than mine and the games are absolutely zero fun when you're lucky if you get one or two hooks.

I recently get also only low rank killers. My guess is they don't level up as fast as survivors can get back to their original rank. My killer is back to rank 18 :< and its really boring to level it up again even though I can play well. You can imagine how my games end vs low rank surviviors ... Also the queue is very long for my killer
One positive thing I can say is that my rank 3-4 teammates are complete monkeys very often like they just started playing the game. Huging walls to heal, running away from 2 survivors that can heal them instead, 3 gen themselves etc

As a rank 4 killer, I've been seeing all types of survivors. Purple, red, green, yellow, hell, I came across a rank 18 today. Matchmaking has been ######### up again, and they wonder why we want to see the rank of the other survivors on our team.

First you will have to wait for this game to leave the early access

I wrote about this earlier today. I'd rather wait to play people at least in my color bracket consistently rather than the other way around where I get red ranks SWFs and a random rank thrown in the mix. Again, it's BS because you can only go so far with certain killers and then they might as well not exist as options once you get closer to red ranks.
