Please never buff Trapper
I like the challenge. He's very viable if you put some time in and learn spots. You need to think about what you do and we don't need another killer that's easy to play. Every trap you place will end a chase early or be a free injure if you really know what you're doing. I disagree that he's an easy killer, as the in-game describes him. Literally everything about his power is a big risk. While your setting up traps, you are using time. If you don't set them well, your now an M1 killer purely. Some changes like holding traps open as survivor and removing glitched spots are welcomed personally, as they are QoL and are adding to the risk factor. If he's buffed, it'd be too easy and uninteresting. QoL, again, is always welcomed.
Trapper is the best killer and the worst killer in the game at the same time. (Most of the time)

Yes there are way more important and less balanced things in this game other than Trapper. (Although he needs to start with at LEAST 2 traps imo)

I would say allow him to start with more traps, and to carry more traps as his base kit.
Kind of like how with Wraith, they more or less gave him a built in Windstorm.

I mean, trapper has the highest pick rate by far, and his average kills is above 50%. I feel as if he's in a good spot right now. Very good snowball potential and one of the strongest, if not THE strongest basement killers (setup traps in the 3 entrances and you are guaranteed at least on kill)

If the need for stance-switching was removed that would be great in a chase, as it would add more mind game potential to his kit. You could fake a shock to bring an early pallet down or to prep for an M1 hit for example. However, I haven't seen anything in the updated descriptions that specifies the removal of them yet though. 😫

I just made the same comment as the original poster. If played right trapper can be very strong. I've gotten up to rank 5 and with the right strategy and discipline you can 4k all day.
I enjoy playing him over alot of the killers. Your not using some "power" is mind game and strategy.
I'd say considering only his ultra rare add ons and his trap darkening and all the bag add ons are the only real useable addons.
I say start him with at least 2 traps if not all his traps. And rework his stale worthless addons but that can be said about almost all killer addons and survivor item addons.

I wouldn’t say Clown is the EASIEST killer to run. If they aren’t throwing their bottles all willy nilly then it can be somewhat effective. I’d say Leatherface is the easiest to run. Poor guy has nothing going for him in a chase, at least Clown has the potential to be annoying. Doctor is also easy to run around.
I would say Clown is the most BORING to be chased by though. I almost fall asleep.

Trapper doesnt even need to start with 2 traps, but he DO NEED able to carry 2 traps.
About the escaping RNG, its not ok that sometime survivor takes age to escape the trap, and sometime it takes 10sec for they to escape traps with Green stone.Tone down the RNG

That still doesn't fix the core problem with trapper, he also need to setup those traps which takes awhile, especially during the gen rush meta.

I feel he is the highest picked because he is on the cover, he is the first killer, one of 3 that come with the game, and killer is easier to play at lower ranks. A lot of the data is picked up from the early ranks of new players.

Dev 1: "The community wants buffs for Legion. What should we do?"
Dev 2: "Lets nerf him?"

I wouldn't mind starting with one and having a capacity of two as base kit if being at capacity would have a down side (slight movement penalty or something).

With the first part, I don't like putting it like this, but if sacrificing time to place traps is something someone cannot deal with or recover from, they are a bad Trapper player or VERY unequipped. You need gen regression or slow down and that's a fact if you are playing in a competitive setting.
