Is Bill in Dead By Daylight Canon?

Hey guys, I never really played much Left 4 Dead when I was younger, and I don't know a ton of the storyline at all, but I've been curious. Does Bill sacrificing himself end in him dying, or simply being transported to The Fog to fend of the Entity's servants?

Bill was never teleported to the realm of the entity

In DBD, his lore said his body was never found, while in L4D2 on "The Passing", during the level "The Port" you can see bill on the ground, with his M16

Here are my thoughts on Bill. A bit outdated, but still interesting.

Now I believe that Bill was transferred physically and revived by Entity, just like Spirit. It happened after L4D2 survs found his body.

It’s possible. It depends on how The Entity takes people.

If they’re taken physically then Bill and Tapp wouldn’t be canon. Both of their bodies were found after their deaths. Tapp even had a funeral. Amanda also wouldn’t be canon since she died in front of other people and was most likely cleaned up by the other Jigsaw followers.

If they’re taken mentally and/or spiritually then Bill, Tapp, and Amanda would be canon. It would explain why they’re in The Fog despite their corpses being in their own worlds.

But Kate’s backstory complicates this because she has a physical fight with The Entity as she’s being taken. Her story makes it seem like Survivors are physically pulled into The Fog by The Entity.

Other Survivors’ stories involve disappearing (Meg and Jake) or getting into accidents (Adam and Jane) with their bodies never being found. This implies that The Entity actually took their bodies and healed/revived them.

Based on the information we have so far, it seems like Bill, Tapp, and Amanda aren’t canon because their corpses still exist in their universes.

    Unfortunate.

It still can be canon, just in a different time line, where as our Bill was taken to the realm and the one in l4d stays dead in the world, meaning we don't have the Bill from the l4d games, but somehow kinda do too.
