Survivor Gen Speed changes

I would rather change the overall gen speed depending on your lobby. Brown, yellow, and green ranks have the basic 80 second gen speed while purple ranks have 90 or 95 second gen speed, and red ranks have a 100 or 110 second gen speed, this will make gen rushing a lot harder while giving the killer more time to perform, for instance trapper can’t even trap off 2 jungle gyms before a gen or two pop in red ranks (even with ruin). So the longer reparation time will all together make the game more fair. What if there’s only 1 red rank and 3 yellow rank survivors in a lobby, well because of that red rank the gen speed will be equivalent to red rank speed, this will make boosting harder because now all the gens take longer and chances are those yellow ranks don’t do gens, overall making survivor harder. Killer ranks will not affect survivor gen times which means a red rank killer can go against green rank survivors and they’d still have the 80 second gen time. But this is just a thought, and would have to be ran in PTB servers to see if this could work.

    I like the idea because lately I keep getting matched to Purple/Red ranks even though I'm only in Green and I always get 2-3 Gens popping before I've managed to finish downing 1 survivor. I don't mind the fact they do it, but I like my games lasting a little longer than 3 minutes for the sake of at least a little more BP

    Increasing gen speed is lazy as ######### and no one wants to hold M1 longer than it already is. Add more objectives.

    DBD should stop adding DLC and rework the game play as a whole. Look at what they did as band aid to Gen.

    • Start with Nurse Thanaphobia
    • Hag came with Hex system: Ruin to force Survivor do totems and slow down
    • Clown Pop goes weasel with 25% Gen regression
    • Freddy dream mechanic

    I even think that DBD should make DBD2 with improvement on game play mechanic without mistake they did on this game (at least with face camp, tunneling, gen rush)

    It would be a great idea imo, makes genrushing a bit harder to do for the people who actually have experience in the game.

    So, not only get the best Killers (Red Ranks) more time than the worst Killers (brown Ranks), but also the "Reward" for Ranking up as Survivor is to spend more time on the most boring thing you can do as Survivor?

    Yeah, I totally dont see any reason why people would not just derank then.

    Implying that rank = skill. I can't tell you how many potatoes are in red ranks right now, and having to deal with an even slower gen speed with them sounds terrible.

    Firstly, I highly doubt the devs would want to implement mechanical differences based on ranks.

    Secondly, ranking up needs more incentives, not less. No matter how balanced it would be being rewarded with more M1-holding for ranking up would feel #########.

    That could be an idea or just totally rework the game and have downtime for a couple of days
