Random Queue Survivors Should Start Using Kindred

The amount of information that it's handed to you now is amazing. It's turning into a personal favorite now as a Solo Survivor, I could do what I need to do because I have an idea what the hell everyone is doing, Those pressure from someone getting hooked! Hah. All gone.

If any random survivors out there gets into a Queue with me, I have Open hand so you'll have a good idea what direction the killer is going to.

Yep. It's a MUST for playing solo. Some people don't think it's worth a perk slot. Can you believe it? lol

It's a good perk, but arguably its crucial attribute to reveal campers no matter what is now gone.

Would you say it's worth the trade with bond though?

Don't worry, I've always liked Kindred a lot.

I didn't think it was worth a perk slot before, but I've been using it since it was changed and I love it.

I always have it on when I play Solo. It helps so much at times. Though you still get survivors who don't quite understand that when there is no purple aura, it's safe to unhook.

I don't really need it. Confident enough to ran around injured and if things gets tough I have one common medkit usually per match. There are ways to not bother other survivor on doing generators in most cases anyway.

I was playing my Christmas Nancy last night when a lobby of 2 Fengs and a Nancy popped up, and my Nancy is your friendly neighborhood team player with Botany, Better Together, Self Care, and Kindred.

I always liked Kindred but haven’t played it since the rework and I was pleasantly surprised! I immediately put it on my main Jane and have been having lots of fun :) It’s so good as a solo player AND now there is genuine use for it beyond hoping and praying your team will come save you and you start to see red when you had Kindred and nobody still came.

First 4 matches with it equipped, it didn't even activate so I went back to using Dark Sense.

I don’t think kindred fits in my build.

There is probably also an effect of imitation, of conformism.

Kindred was not immediately used as massively when it was changed, but last night I saw that two or even the other three survivors were using it... so I did the same. Maybe we'll see it less and less used in the future. Or not.

I had not thought of Open Handed, it is actually very interesting in addition, especially that it benefits the entire team (and is cumulative?).

However, I continue to disagree with all of this.

Just like Ruin and BBQ for killers, the game deserves that all the perks are balanced, so that we use them by affinity, and not only because they are much better than others. It's a shame to have so many perks, but to use so few.

Kindred adds a problem: it is useless for the SWF, but becomes unavoidable for solo players. It does not seem healthy to me.

I still think that Kindred should be basekit, and that matchmaking should not have special and arbitrary rules for the SWF.

I started using this perk and what happened? No one comes to rescue. I always get to my next stage. Fun.

They keep wanting ideas to boost solos to swf levels. Universal voice com is always shut down cause people are picky who they want to listen to and coding issues.

They need to make survivor auras always visible to other survivors except in the dying state then balance killers around that. Its the closest youll get to balancing solos and swf. There is literally no other way without massive complaints. I say just be done with it then regulate map size for killers so most of them dont have to run 30 seconds across the map then start balancing killers accordingly.

The kindred change is nice but its more of the same tippy tap bandaid fixes.

It should be basekit, it would be one of the most important steps to make in order to balance out the gap between solo and swf survivors.
